I'm sad that there are people in the world who don't like Mr Show, but I'm glad that character flaw isn't my own.
I was introduced to Mr Show in 2004 by my manager at Blockbuster. Ordered the seasons from corporate, because employees only had to pay cost, so I got them all for $8 each.
Watched every episode twice, then turned on commentary only to find it was basically 30 mr show radio shows complete with characters and fun anecdotes. Seriously, the Mr Show commentary tracks are like the birth of podcasting and clearly influenced Snot Blockerman and Paul F. Tompkins to do what they do now.
Then I got the book "Mr Show: What Happened?" and last year, I got the audiobook of "Hollywood Said No" (bob and david's rejected scripts, performed by the mr show cast). And I watched the first episode of WBAD this morning before I left for work.
A Real-Time Machine... Hahah... Glad the dovetailing of sketches and the original cast is still there. It was pretty great. So excited to see the rest tonight.

Oh god no. You cannot watch Mr Show on cable. The commercial breaks LITERALLY interrupt jokes and delete entire sketches. The entire charm is that it's a never ending stream of consciousness. I watched one episode on Comedy Central and rage'd at how butchered it was.

Just watched the first ep. Pretty flat. The audience laughter is really obnoxious. So much of it seems stuck in the 90s, a replay of old hits in a new package.
It's too bad Abso Lutely gets to ruin another fucking show. That company has yet to make a single thing worth watching. Ugh...
