Completely agree with this.
As much as his character might have been overshadowed by BC in BB, MEW makes him look like a negligible side character.
Everything else is pretty accurate as well. If you don't have any experience with alcoholism you might not find it interesting, but for a low budget, quickly shot indie film it's pretty good.
Probably MEW's best performance (haven't watched her most recent thing yet).

Not very many movies actually feature a manic pixie dream girl, according the the definition that usually gets thrown around. I think there are actually more movies that try to subvert the idea of a manic pixie dream girl than actually have one.
