>he doesn't think primer is and will always be the peak of shane carrot
rip my dreams of a topiary movie ever.

He knows has Hollywood support. It may happen some day.
do you guys think rian helped him get funding since he's doing star wars?
its funny that keanu is in modern ocean, I always thought carruth looked like keanu's younger brother or something
>>62655429
I don't Rian suddenly doing Star Wars changed much for Shane considering Soderbergh and Fincher tried to get A Topiary made for a decade. I think someone at an agency noticed that Shane maintained a devoted fan base for a decade with little content and they thought they could make money off of him.

>R-Rian, could you pass on my script to Lucasfilm or Disney?
>Rian, why aren't you returning my calls?
>>62655651
Or maybe they were just impressed by how he single-handedly made and self-distributed Upstream Color completely outside of the film industry.

>goddess Hathaway
>bad
plebs please, she's arguably the best actress working today. Her performance in Les Mis is easily one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in cinema
>>62653080
it's worth it for him getting the huge budget
>>62655683
Well he made and self distributed Primer too and it didn't help him.
>>62655929
Shane didn't self-distribute Primer
UC made a nice profit almost entirely for Shane just through the Internet release
>>62655899
>she's arguably the best actress working today
Oof. You know Cate Blanchette, Meryll Streep, Emily Blunt, etc. are acting?
Shane should have cast Seimetz over Hathaway.
>>62656014
They are all good, but ann is simply majestic. few actresses have completely blown me away with a single performance like she did in Les Mis...
