Too difficult to build the sets next to each other.

Action movies don't happen in text messages, that shit was retarded if you've seen the movie.
If you need to repeatedly show text messages a plot device it it could probably have been handled in a better way. Having a character type out what he's doing is literally one step away having the character do a voice over inner monologue thing describing his thoughts, which is just lazy.
