I recently started watching this again and honestly don't know how they could possibly reboot it appropriately, minus any pandering in the current hyper SJW climate. For one thing, the best friend Jerold was quite stereo-typically black and was frequently portrayed as dumber and as lacking ethics when compared to main character Arnold. Helga as well, being frequently violent and love sick 'Arnold-obsessed' antagonist of the show would trigger so many feminists, tumblr would likely go ballistic. I mean the list gos on and on with these awesome old cartoons. They would just be deemed too offensive today (as stupid as that is) and would be ruined in the 'clean up' for today's sensitive audience.

They brought back Family Guy and while it's now a major cash cow it's pretty terrible. They brought back Futurama and the new episodes were god awful.
Without the original writers, animators, and everything you shouldn't even bother.

Secondly, there are enough talented people out there with interesting ideas that you shouldn't have to reboot shit from the nineties. It will only serve to diminish the original series and crowd the market so that those new and fresh ideas never get made.
