I dont care at all about the original or the remake. I just hate how they try to use moral blackmail onto their prospective audience when their first trailer looked like shit: "if you don't like this you must be a misogynist". So that's why I hit the dislike button on yt. I suspect most of those dislikes come from people in the same situation.
Think about it. Movies with female leads like Kill Bill, Hunger Games, Mad Max didn't got that bad a response because they didn't look like complete shit. Even flops with female leads like Sucker Punch didn't get this much of a shitstorm onto them.

Of course it would, as would a mixed gender remake. The fact that the main marketing point is that it's an all female cast is what pisses people off, when you focus on the gender of your characters as your main idea it's almost a guarantee to suck.
