I'm gonna have 3 days to spend in Ljubljana, Slovenia this summer.
Anyone know some good places to go? Activities and nightlife?
I live in Ljubljana but never did the sightseeing. Anyway, from the top of my head I would recommend the following sights: Ljubljana castle (great view from the top), old part of town (nice cafes, restaurants and shops), take a walk by the river from Preseren square to Trnovo, maybe some museums.
For the nightlife depends what you like. Metelekova or Tovarna Rog are a great experince (totally safe although it looks a bit alternative / underground). Cirkus and Top Six are two big clubs where the type of music depends on the day of the week. Would also recommend Neboticnik for a drink anytime of the day (nice view).

Do a daytrip to Lake Bled.
agree about the castle, and walk along the river and canals.
Bled probably warrants more than a daytrip IMO.
Piran/Pirano (old Venetian coastal town with great architecture and good fish-related restaurants) on the other hand might be a decent day trip if transport makes that possible.
Metelkova is kind of a phenomenon....

Keep your head on the swivel. Slavoj Zizek lives there
You might want to check out the Blejski Vintgar george on your trip to Bled.

Not OP, but I am also going to be in Ljubljana for a few days this summer. How would I go about attracting his attention? I think it would be pretty cool to hang about with him all day snorting coke, sniffing incessantly, and listening to him talking shit about ideology.
Stupid question, but is it safe? Never thought of going to Slovenia before but now I'm interested

Literally one of the safest countries in the world.
Go to Bled, row out to the church and ring the wishing bell. Eat the special Bled Cake (it's like a Vanilla Slice) at the casino. Checkout the Castle and the Gorge.
Ljubljana is great. Get some raw milk from the vending machine in the main square.

Well I visited Slovenia last summer, and it was horrible. It's full of Asian tourists and chavs. I've been to their castle and its nothing special. Wasn't worth the walk next to the road where busses fly by you etc. We've also went to their beach which was in Isola, the sea is completely polluted... Overall I've had a horrible experience going there and would not recommend it. Also the food is fucking horrible... And I could barely sleep in my hotel because of drunk teens stumbling back to their shitholes; smashing bottles and laughing histerically...
