Why are you not visiting Croatia? Dalmatian coast is something you must see. All the cities on the coast are 1 day trips so It will not take you too much time. Slovenia is great as it has top tier landscape, but since it is summer I think you will appreciate coast on par with greece. That is a fact confirmed by European commision for water or something like that. I can link you articles if you want it. This is because underwater current cleans our part of adriatic and it all goes to Italian coast. Its pretty cheap for food and alcohol (Czezh prices for beer are still unreal. 0,5L Branik costs around 10 cents. And that beer is godly.). I will be posting some of the cities and beaches in Croatia. If you have anymore questions just ask. First one is of my hometown Šibenik.

I second Croatia.. and naturally Slovenia, my home country, which is really beautiful.

Ill be posting some national parks. This is Island archipelago of Kornati near Šbenik. It is a national park and it has around 300 islands. Water is so clear you can see the bottom even if it is 30 meters deep. Ill post some more pictures of Kornati since it is a place where rich people go.

Not OP but totally interested in these.
Could you go through about how are these parks in terms of price, time required to see and ease of access?
By price I mean entrance fee, food and any other paid service that may be interesting to know. And ease of access I mean how well served these parks are with public transportation and the price of the transportation to and from.

My second favorite national park is Brijuni. Here is where Tito lived and there is even a safari in here. You can see camels and zebras here and other exotic animals. Starting with this I am covering Istra which is less than hour away from Slovenia.

Sure thing. I need to go to launch now so Ill tell you when I come back.

Thanks for the input anon, your hometown looks beautiful.
I actually thought about doing parts of Croatia as well, but figured it was to much of a detour since I wanted to go to Pompeii in Italy as my last stop (now that is a real stray I know, but I'd really like to see it plus there's a friend living there).
Istra at least is definitely doable though.
Is there something like one big city that i can reach easily by train and from where i can go visit Brijuni and maybe some other national parks?

>>1138304
true, also Lithuania is not even included in the interrail ticket. I'm just starting off there since i wanted to make my way from north to south.
Gonna take a nightbus from there to Warsaw, they are going pretty muchevery day and are cheap

Yeah you have 2 big cities. One is Pula. It is pretty chill place with a big roman arena inside it. Other one is Rijeka which was one of the biggest Austrian harbor during its empire day so it looks like an Austrian city.
Pic related is Pula home to 70000 people.

And here is Rijeka. I would recommend it if you are just going to Brijuni since it has more boat lines.

Well for Kornati boat ride is around 50 to 100 euro. You can rent a boat and there are no entry fee nor nothing of that kind. you can also rent a boat and go on your own if you want. Also every two or three days there comes a boat market on which you can buy all the ingredients you want. There are Markets in some tourist friendly places but if you go you can find island all for yourself. If you go with the company it will usually go from Šibenik Zadar or Split. I recommend Šibenik since it is the shortest route. Most of these will include snorkeling gear and other things. There are great restaurants in Kornati but they are a little bit pricey. If you caught anything you can bring it to them and they will make you dinner from that. Ill write later about other 3.

I'll make sure to check those out
