I would have to say after college. With the knowledge you gained from school, you can really appreciate particular historical sites, cultures and people.
HOWEVER, the ages of 19-22 are THE ages of experiencing new things. Trips at the ripe ages of 19-22 are something special because one really does have the ability to be young and reckless.
