Planning on traveling to germany next summer.
How much would i be spending for a 2 week stay? Ill be staying in dusseldorf at a friends house.
Also how safe is germany right now?

Since you stay at a friend, I'd say 300 to 400, depending on if you also eat at your friends or eat out. Düsseldorf isn't cheap, but it's not expensive as Munich or inner city Hamburg or Berlin.
Public transport shouldn't be too much, around 30. I'm not from Düsseldorf, so it could be more.

Despite what the media shows, you should be very safe. Düsseldorf doesn't have any notable crime rates. In fact, the most common crime there is tax fraud. There are no gangs wandering the city looting or stuff like that. Muggings are extremely rare.

how much money you need, depends on your activities. a meal in an average restaurant costs 10-15 eur (Schnitzel for example). beer in a bar 2-4 eur. supermarkets are cheap, you can get a good beer there for like 40 cents. food is also cheap in supermarket (aldi,lidl..) transportation is expensive. tell me what you want to do/see and i tell you what it will cost you. in the bigger cities like frankfurt, berlin, hamburg some areas are not so nice at night, but düsseldorf is ok.
