Comicanon did a great job with his "House of Memories" critique but there's one point of characterization he didn't address that I feel would really serve the basis of narrative to the reader better. Basically, we see Jack go from (presumably) getting his butt saved on-duty, straight to inviting her over and drugging her, and while you can make several obvious assumptions his exact motive it's never known. Does he really just want a strong girl in a similar field to pump out and raise kids and nothing else? Does he just want to feel powerful like he has turned an strong female into a toy of sorts? Does he seek some other kind of power or profit from her partnership?
Additionally and even more close to my point is the context of his choice to drug her. If you think a little about how much he's risking with his position and wealth over weeks of drugging and manipulation, it makes little sense for him to not at least get softly rejected before resorting to drugging, scumbag or not he's not that stupid if he's the best. It would be ideal if there was another part in their interactions between the very opening and the actual formality date drugging moment, wherein Jack tries his best attempt at conversing and charming her, and her giving a "not having it" back at him.
Then again, I suppose there is no obligation. This is more minor compared to lots of other points brought up? I'm not confident in my ability to critique.

This is a super good suggesting and I think I'm definitely going to use it because it's a fair point.
The original motive I had for him was using her as a status symbol or a trophy, I guess, which doesn't really make much sense I don't think? So I'm thinking something more like an obsession, a need to have her. Maybe he views her as a threat to his own accomplishments, and thus wants to conquer her? His motives don't necessarily have to make sense to the reader, because he can just be a little neurotic, as long as you can justify his actions by his motive, I think.
And I don't think it's that minor. If you can't think "why is this character doing this thing" it takes you out of it, no?
So I appreciate the critique, it's a lot of fair points and good ideas.

Let's mull this over: what do we know about Jack?
Well, he's semi-competent: he has a pent house suite, he's a bunny ZIA agent in a city that doesn't really think bunnies are capable, and he's able to take down a semi-drugged Judy. However, Judy also saved his life, he got caught in the drugging act (which he was a bit loose with in the process), he didn't account for the phone afterward, and he wasn't able to take out Nick and McHorn when they entered the room (compared to Judy, who could take down a rhino).
So, off the cuff suggestion: he wants out of the ZIA action, but not out of the lifestyle he's made for himself. His celebrity status combined with Judy's hero persona could make for a star-couple identity that he could surf on, if only he could secure Judy.

Er, yeah you kinda did. I found his choice of location and leaving the phone during the drugging very weak. Jack felt frankly weak on all fronts to where it felt like he was serving someone's fantasy, but maybe that's my own self-insertion experience talking.

Absolutely not. They need good open exercise, which can be indoors, but they shed a lot, they chew more than dogs, and they need to be babysat more. You also have to give their nails and teeth more attention than dogs/cats.

Not that I'm trying to discourage you, they do have upsides. They can be lovely and affectionate or fun to play with, and they do clean themselves like a cat so you don't/shouldn't bathe them usually. Once they trust you, you can sort of hold them. Their primary diet is also dirt cheap: it's 90% hay.
