Is it weird that I'm slightly disappointed by the Camp Camp opening? I figure that the very last few ones that go by in a flash should be a bit different every time just for fun. This is 100% headcanon mixed with conjecture but it's possible that most people without formal training aren't aware of their semblance, aren't able to use it, or don't even have their aura unlocked.
Jaune at least tried to train prior to Beacon (~"I just wasn't ever good enough"), you'd think given his family history, he of all people would be aware of Aura/semblances. Weiss isn't able to fully use hers yet, so it seems quite possible that regular fighters, mercs, criminals, etc simply can't manifest it or are unaware it's a thing.
At the very least it'd be a nice way to explain while none of the soldiers, mooks, most of the tournament fighters and White Fang we see in the series ever use their semblance.

I mean I think that's a given. Hell Ruby barely understands her own semblance and just uses it randomly. If she had a great mastery over her semblance speed boosts why did she resort to cannon blast propulsion so much?
Blake barely made use of her semblance at all at first. Yang seemed to be the only one who had full control but that was because it was an automatic thing. And even Weiss barely seemed to scrape the surface of her semblance at first too.
Seems more like people like Pyrrha and Yang who had complete understanding and control of their shit are real uncommon.

I just want places we haven't seen much of. It's nice that there's a village in the next season guaranteed, because that's a walk of life we have no knowledge of as far as remnant goes.
