That Judy stops loving Jack. That she actually goes "Wow, what a fucking asshole for ditching me after getting me pregnant! I fucking hate him now!". That way, she's not literally using Nick as a substitute that she'd get rid of in a heartbeat if Jack ever came back.
In fact, it could even make a really happy ending. Later on down the line, Jack comes back and tries to reconnect with them, but Judy tells him to get lost because they're not his kids anymore.
