>Orca tries to keep her hands busy when she's got down time
>Most often this means weight lifting in public, or when she's in private reading a book
>At night though she likes to go up on the roof top and just watch the ocean. It's the only time she can be still
>Swimming is something she has less and less time for but it's something she misses. At least in blackgate she had an aquatic cell and access to clean filtered water
>Here she just has the gotham bay, which is almost like trying to swim through the sewer, or a public pool filled with gawkers
>Watching the ocean is almost as good as swimming though

>Once a week, as part of her parole conditions, Orca has to attend group therapy with the other residents of her halfway house
>Usually this means her sitting awkwardly in the basement on the scratched up pool table since none of the folding chairs can support her weight on the outside of the circle
>A psychologist and a case worker from up state comes to oversee the entire exchange and to help keep the affair running smoothly
>Most of the other residents are career henchmen who spent most of their adult lives bouncing around from one gang to another
>The others are all former supervillains, though 'super' is a term used lightly.
>The psychologist encourages people to use their real names and to put the past behind them, but everyone knows who they are
>Otis used to be called Ratcatcher and apparently has the ability to control rodents.
>He's a small, nervous man, jumpy by nature and a tendency to lash out or hide when confronted.
>His closest friend in the world is a small white rat he keeps on his person. Violates the no pet's allowed policy but it keeps him calm so the doctors look the other way
>The mothman is the oldest of the bunch, having been in and out of the house for longer then most people can remember. No one even knows his name anymore, he's just Moth.
>He's the most unbalanced of the group and also the least liked. He constantly tries egg anyone who'll listen to him into re assuming their old identities, to convince people to join him for 'one last big score'
>He hides his helmet and old costume in a carefully hollowed cement block on the roof, and will watch the sky.
>Waiting for the day someone shines the moth signal again
>There are other odder members of the halfway house, who no one knows anything about, like the man with the shoes that look like pencil tips or the woman who obsessively hoards pennies
>Most of the time they avoid each other, but every Tuesday they come together for one purpose
>To bitch about Batman
>>
>discovery channel/animal planet is on
>it's a documentary about killer whales
>it gets to the mating/courting part
>Orca suddenly feels very hot and bothered
>>
>>3916635
>There are other things they bitch about too, of course, like the way that their jobs suck, the people around them think they're weird
>Sometimes there's even momentary high notes that are discussed, like going a week without giving into their respective compulsive manias
>But mostly it's all about The Bat.
>About how better things were before he showed up, about how badly he broke their arms or how many teeth he chipped, or how long they were in rehabilitation because of him
>the Doctors try to steer the conversation back to other topics but whenever there's a lull in the conversation or the shrink leaves, the conversation always go back that bastard in black underoos
>Occasionally people will leave the halfway house- they might find a better job or manage to finish their parole and move out
>Bookworm managed to find a job as a clerk at the big Library downtown
>these small successes are usually celebrated by the community
>most of the time though, when people leave it's because they've fallen back into their costumed habits or violated the terms of their release
>Both end the same way- back to Arkham or blackgate.
>Orca is determined not to end up like them, constantly reliving the same mistakes over and over
>sometimes though it's tempting. There are so many little hoops she has to jump through, so much bullshit to deal with
>It'd be so easy to just tear through the obstacles and just...take what she wanted.
>>
>It takes a lot to get Orca drunk
>But when she does get drunk, hooboy watch out
>Grace used to be a teetoller, so it hits her hard and fast
>This has rarely happened considering exactly how much all that booze would cost, but when it happens she will savor the moments and drop all her inhibitions
>Orca will among other things, begin to flirt at anyone and anything that moves, strip out of her clothing, and dance like a maniac with no coordination
>She becomes something worse then a killer whale- she turns into a party animal

>>
>>3932737
Yep, still alive and kicking. Looking over stuff at this time while getting ready to add more arts on Orca soon. Keep on the lookout, guys.
>>
>>3932907
I get the feeling that maybe we should take this thread to one of the more popular ones, like the strong/fat one

I have never posted on trash before though so I'm not sure how things work
>>
Would people want more porn to be written or to focus on building a story?
>>
>>3936003
Story was good overall, if you'd like to add that to the actual story Arc for Orca, that's fine.
If not, make it an Alternate and have the next one continue from the 1st one.
Either way good stuff and I hope you have even more surprises and more feel, depth and energy on both stories. Good Luck and thanks for posting.
>>
>>3936003
So why did you decide she would cheat on her husband and suddenly be a lesbian?
>>
>>3937607
Two reasons- one, she's fresh from prison and a long stay in a hospital. Grace is very pent up and needed some kind of release.
Second, I was thinking of having the two be divorced, or at the very least seperated. Possibly due to a terribly injury that was caused by Orca's criminal career coming back to bite her family

Also...I like lesbians. If this was ever to be included in a full story, I might leave the sex scene out, or maybe not. I'm still not sure what I'm doing with it

If the one drawanon who put some of the ideas I floated into picture form is still around I would love to talk shop with them, maybe just working out some ideas for a simple couple of illustrations to accompany the stories

In the meantime I'm still gauging how much detail I should put into this and whether it should be basically fanfiction or if I should write it like a comic script or....

I tend to over think things in case you haven't noticed
>>
>>3937834
>>3937565
Anyway, it's really good to hear feedback from you guys. I was starting to feel like I was posting in an empty thread.

I'll probably work on a more fleshed out outline and also some more minor scenes, probably starting with some interactions with other residents in the house

I still have some things that need to be pinned down though. Working out the characterization of her parole officer for example, who's going to be acting as an antagonistic force for the first part of the story
The other thing is a little bit of logic that's niggling me. Would there be any reason Grace would turn down an offer to work at Waynecorp?
>>
>>3938216
It's been a while since I read her intro story, so I don't remember how she feels about Wayne specifically, but she seemed to have a distaste for Gotham's wealthy elite because they're generally all corrupt and shitty. Could be enough for her to turn down a Waynecorp job on principle.
>>
>>3938654
Thanks, that's a pretty good idea!
>>
Page 11
>>
Wow Orca is still dead? You'd think she would have popped up again in all these reboots.

Also while DC is currently in better standing, Marvel still has Rocket, Shark Girl, Tigra, and more themselves.
>>
>>3945552
Eh, that's the thing with c and d listers. Unless they make an impact on the public or they're a personal favorite of the author, after their initial run they're almost always delegated to crowd scenes and body count fodder.
>>
>>3946448
If they even get that. RIP Toxin.
>>
>>3946839
I can't help but feel like the smaller characters are always some of the better ones. They don't get caught up in reality shattering nonsense, they just deal with day to day shit more often then not
The uh, sinister six run in the Superior Foes of spiderman is one of the best examples of how to handle c and below listers I think
>>
Man I hate how quiet this thread is in between posts from content makers. Does anyone want to talk about anything?
>>
>>3951173
I'm considering letting the thread die and not making a new one until I have something new to actually to post. I'm not sure if this is the best course of action though
>>
>>3954454
If you do that the content will disappear foreeeeeeverrrrrrr.
>>
>>3958400
How do we keep the thread alive then? I mean there's at least 19 unique posters here but no one has anything to say

Maybe a new topic to discuss? Favorite minor characters maybe
>>
It's gonna be sometime before I can post the good stuff for Orca, guys.
But if anything, aside from write anons doing the stories, how would we further expand Orca with her Power Set/Allies and who or what would be a challenge to her in going straight and in staying alive
>>
>>3958842
Sure, I'd love to talk about that.

Her abilities are, as far as I'm aware, increased strength and being able to hold her breath really really long under water along with a genius level intellect

Seeing more focus on her brains would be neat, I think
>>
>>3959044
Good start...
To further add to that I'd give her some increase in power and dex. skills based on increasing her size up 3 times and make make her tank small arms fire to an extent, even more so in water absorbtion.
The flaw with that is injures carry over somewhat and it gets harder to maintain control of it the more times she does it and in tanking damage, way worse without water.
And in being a thinker/smart, she needs to be aware of that while using that as well as the area for best use in those situations.
Personally, at this stage for her character, I'd think she'd do best with brains first and brawn second, A smart-brawler, that sizes up on info and surroundings first before diving in using her some, if not all, her natural gifts when needed.
Especially when on the lookout for Croc and Great White as Endgame.
>>
>>3960743
She could have limited regeneration abilities.

After all, the reason she has her powers in the first place was to cure her paralysis
>>
>>3960846
Ok so on the PowerSet for Orca, it could be...
>>Size Increase 2x for Power and Dex., but limited a set number of uses for a time based on maintaining control and pushing herself.
>>Can tank small arms fire with regenerative and growth abilities as well as store some water to further enhance them. Though at the cost of injury and soreness that's even worse without water intake based on the severity of damage days later.
>>And she's a thinker that can choose to throw her weight around as well as decide better alternatives to outcomes that don't require to 'brute force it' so long as the options are available in that scenario.
Overall her power, strength and minor durabilities are that of a whale at its peak, but can work against her very fast if she doesn't think and act on her feet when facing upper class threats. That's where her brain comes in to balance it to find out if she needs to become Grace or Orca in those situations
>>
>>3967788
That might be a little too powerful, but do I like linking her regenerative abilities with exposure to water. It makes sense and really drives home the point that primarily she's out of her home turf when on land.

Other powers could be only accessible to her while she's in the water too, like increased perception.
>>
>>3968051
Good Points and Thanks, even Understandable on the too powerful part, though not much.
I feel if that would give her a 'Slight' edge that's not abusive, especially when she can not only do it a set number of times but it puts her at risk that she could damn near die if she over does it. And most definitely without water.
She really needs to think about those risks before she's on the path to nowhere.
The most she can do with that is become a minor tank that can hold her own and buy time against low-mid level oppressors. Anything above that and she's fish food. Even more so if she's out of her element.
In short, her Full Potential (Water) trumps her Base (Non-Wet) form, but not by that much in only giving her more options/uses in battle.
>>
>>3968368
What it be slightly over the top to have her be slightly impaired outside of the water perception wise? Like she becomes nearsighted or a little bit deaf
>>
>>3968412
Fog the eyes up a bit to where she gets the occasional blurs with being partially near-sighted, and some near-death trama from Croc and the like to balance
>>
>>3968496
These are some good ideas. She'd probably need to keep her glasses on a special chain or something to hold them in place because of her lack of ears

Her super science is focused almost entirely on marine biology, and while she's brilliant she generally requires access to proper tools to do effective work.

Hm. What about other characters that she'd be interacting with?

A parole officer who would blackmail former supervillains would need to have either a protector or a huge set of brass balls
>>
>>3968562
On Characters
--Penguin is a must to see how the Orca-Cobblepot Connection works out in doing runs and jobs for his club; as well as story movement.
--Magpie would be a nice team-up if done correctly aside from Orca being a big 'shiny' for her.
--K. Moth should show up on occasion in between therapy to entice her on a score that could benefit both their interests, amid his failures of doing so several times
--For the parole officer, have him be new with his watchers of yes men that push many buttons on former fellons or have it be that Enforcer guy from The New Batman Adventures Animated Series (1997)
--Other special appearances on Mid/High Class Villians and Heroes can be brought up or done outside the apartment complex but must be Rare and Not be the main focus.

And for Glasses and Marine Bio stuff with Orca, go with that, but with some occasional cheating in using some of her whale abilities for her Marine Bio. works plus labcoat.

Aside from her trying to get on the right path again.
What else would give her a hard time (Mental) and be a great threat (Physical) to Orca that would make use of this Powerset greatly
>>
>>3988005
well there's the obvious option of her getting into a fight with another metahuman, possibly while doing her job.

Maybe she needs to call on her skill as a doctor though to do some surgery on an injured housemate or one of penguins henchmen

It would be her working to save someone's life and fumbling because everything is just too damn small, so she might even have to find someone to help and then walk them through the steps
>>
>>3988203
Interesting concept in that regard to where sometimes her biggest enemy is going to be herself, which will sometimes be a burden to her in addition to those perks she has in being a Killer Whale.
Metahumans will also be a must on occasion, Team or Solo, in battling her with or without the group she's with, and It'll all lead to Croc as the final obstacle that'll be something she'll have to contend with eventually.

Could be that this rich woman is the one who's actually getting the parole officer to make Orca's life difficult. It might be an interesting reveal

In a nutshell, Orca's story is going to be one of the many follies and small triumphs in her larger than normal life within her whale persona before getting some sort of satisfaction towards a fitting goal.
>>Getting out on parole, while still being kept on tabs
>>Meeting old and new fellows over at the safehouse for better and worse terms
>>Dealing with getting a job, therapy, dating and also Penguin, Parole Officers, Her old life and BATMAN
>>Even meeting up with High Class characters on occasion, (Good and Bad) along with the ghosts from her past (Croc and Great White) will test her for all that she's worth in just trying to move on and get by.

And through them all, and her actions in regarding her friends, enemies and her own well-being, will tell us that in who she is and what society will make her out as in addition to succeeding or failing towards said goals.

Write and Drawanons, I can't wait to see how Orca will do for her new story arc.

Tigra.jpg
77 KB, 720x960
What do you guys think of Tigra?

(Personally I think her character design is pretty lazy and pedestrian, but I've come to expect that from Marvel.)
>>
>>4057971
she's pretty neat, but I honestly like Cheetah when it comes to comic book catgirls.

Tigra has one thing going for her though and it's a pretty consistent design. Cheeta is all over the place. Sometimes she's just a normal person wearing a cat costume, sometimes she's just got a few cosmetic differences, sometimes she's more animalistic. Sometimes she's a cultist, other times she's a rival demigod... it's a problem all wonder women characters have

They're constantly being rebooted and no one can decide on a good backstory
>>
>>4060507
The thing that annoys me most about Tigra, beyond just being a painted woman, is that Marvel's artists always draw her stripes in the laziest way possible as if they don't even have a model sheet for what pattern she's supposed to have. It's always just a series of narrow triangles going down the sides of her limbs. It's basically just a quick cheat to avoid having to figure out how they're supposed to look.
>>
>>4060507
Justice League Cheetah is still my favorite.
>>
>>4062030
I like her best when she's basically evil Indiana Jones or normal Laura Croft. Tomb raider with a an advanced degree in archeology and anthropology, stealing important religious artifacts for fun and profit

>>
>>4073263
Oh man, please do. You draw Orca so cute and sexy at the same time.
>>
>>4052904
I'd keep her as a stocky human woman with black and white hair and pointy teeth who wears a wetsuit. It fits in better in Gotham
>>
>>3925797
>Orca/Magpie

My interests are peaked. Those are two of my three favorite Batman villains.
>>
>>4073829
That would be a different take on her look in going further with her past look while still keeping the whale motif, just in a skin-tight wetsuit all big, buff and curvy/buxom
>>4073263
THIS is too good and we don't deserve you, man. Damn good job and please do more if you have time on the Whale Dr.

I love cheetah too but normies think that Ares or Circe are Wonder Woman's nemesis. And unfortunately the movie is just going to cement that.

She gets treated like a jobber. It sucks.
>>
>>4091409
>but normies think that Ares or Circe are Wonder Woman's nemesis
As if. Normies don't have the slightest clue who Wonder Woman's nemesis is.
>>
>>4091482
Their only exposure to her is though Injustice, and in Injustice her nemesis is Ares (because NRS are as mature as the God of Ware devs)

Cheetah_2009.jpg

>>4091409
>>4092147
To be fair, the villain of the Wonder Woman animated movie was Ares, and if you can't be assed to read her comics that's the easiest way to find out her backstory. I actually thought it was pretty solid.

Cheetah does show up at the end of the movie in all of her naked furry glory, but it's more like a tease towards Wonder Woman having more adventures, and to establish that she's fully embraced her role as a protector.
>>
>>4092675
I like that JL:Doom didn't fuck around and made Cheetah Wonder Woman's nemesis, as she should be.
>>
So who are the official DC furry girls?

Cheetah and Orca, obviously, but who else?

Do people like Catwoman, who is a literal fursuiter, count?
>>
>>4095176
Selina was an anthro cat temporarily, so she at least deserves an honorary mention, especially given her regular costume and motif.

I guess you could count the female Manbat? There's not really anything sexy about her bat form though.
>>
>>4095176
There is also Yankee poodle who is from a furry universe from DC, who was posted earlier on the thread.
>>
>>4095860
Oh yeah, Langstrom's wife.

She could be made cuter. I remember Langstrom trying to be a hero, so a Man-Bat and Bride of Man-Bat thing could be qt

Of all who's been posted so far on here.
--Who make for the Strongest/Weakest Link if formed into one group?
--And Who would make the best/worst separate pairings from the group?
>>
>>4104332
If they all formed a group, Orca would be the strongest physically no doubt, although not necessarily the most competent. I would expect Selena to be the most competent out of all of them.

In a pairing, Selena and Cheetah could probably accomplish a lot on a team, but they would tend to get catty with each other. There was a Justice League comic where Cheetah was impersonating Catwoman and they didn't get along terribly well when they met.

Selina is pretty normal as far as DC characters go, Cheetah's a murderous lunatic almost always.

I can't see Selina associating with most of these guys just for being muties, really. Maybe if there was something in it for her. Balin does seem to have a vague grasp on this science, after all.
