“When your parents have raised eleven kids, it's hard not to trust them when they say they know what's best for you.” Lincoln said to nobody in-particular as he swept the driveway.
Lincoln wasn't up this early very often these days. Maybe when he was younger, but he was a grown eleven-year-old, he couldn't just go to bed at 8 PM anymore, he was getting older. Early mornings as a regular thing were going to have to wait on him, but today he had a duty.
“Even when you don't know why.” he added, pushing a collection of dust bunnies into the family mahoney. “...like when dad wakes you up at seven-in-the-morning and tells you to clean the driveway. Balanced chores are a staple in the delicate rhythm of the Loud house-” Lincoln stopped.
“Didn't I talk about something like this already?” he wondered as he stood alone.
His thoughts were interrupted by the chugging, steady rumble of Vanzilla pulling up to the house. He lit up; the perfect opportunity to ask Dad if he'd done a good job cleaning. The van doors swung open. His mother stepped out of the driver-seat (Dad must have still been asleep inside) and out from the passenger's side came Leni, smiling brightly at a paper bag in her hands.
Lincoln was a ways off of the driveway, but he could still hear and see everything from where he stood.
“Recon, a vital resource in the Loud family.” he explained coolly, eavesdropping.

Mom closed and locked the car door, double-checking that she had the keys. “What do we say?” Mom asked Leni.
“Thank you!” Leni chirped.
“Don't you dare skip one.” Mom warned, wagging her finger.
“I won't, Mom. Lori will remind me.” Leni replied.
“Leni, Lori won't always be there for you. You're gonna need to figure out how to remember when you're living alone. It's important.”
“I will, Mom! Lori only helps me when I forget.”
“Well then don't you ever forget. You find a way to make sure every morning.” Mom finished before heading inside. Leni followed instinctively, almost hitting the wall before being stopped by Lincoln.
“Hey, careful!” he said, holding his arm out. “I just polished that wall.”
“Oh! Thanks, Lincoln. I'm so clumsy sometimes.” Leni responded, hardly looking up from her bag, distracted. She managed to make it another twenty feet or so before hitting a different wall nearby the door. Lincoln shrugged, it was out of his hands.
He continued to sweep, unaffected. However, as he swept his mind kept wandering back to the paper bag his sister was holding. Why was she so mesmerized? Why such a bright smile? More importantly, why were Mom and Leni out so early and why wasn't he involved? It wasn't because he was younger, no way. If it were an age thing, there'd be more of his older sisters involved. It was never just one in the Loud house. It must have been a Leni thing for sure, something about her specifically. There was no way to figure it out alone so he fell on a reflex; “Lisa will know.” he thought certainly.

Pretty sure Lincoln's hair is prematurely white due to incessant stress and exhaustion, which would also explain why he has bags around his eyes. He's 11 with the body of an elderly man.

Soon enough, he was gingerly opening the door to Lily and Lisa's room.
“Lisaaaa...” he whispered in.
He wasn't surprised to see her standing over her chemistry set this early. She wouldn't sleep 'if it weren't a primary human necessity' as she put it. Lisa turned her head at her brother's entry.
“Lincoln? Your average waking period is a few hours away.” she noted.
“Dad was making me clean the driveway.” Lincoln clarified.
“Interesting...” Lisa said back, adjusting data on a clipboard nearby. “Come in, come in.” she welcomed.
Lincoln tiptoed past Lily and just behind Lisa, peeking curiously over her shoulder. Naturally, Lisa was protective of her work and sheltered it from his prying eyes.
“You needed something?” she presumed.
She was right. “Mom and Leni are up to something. Wanna help?” He already knew she would.
“Lincoln,” she answered in a patronizing tone, grabbing a pen. “...what would make you think I'd ever procrastinate on an opportunity to accumulate information?”
