I think satyr will get what it deserves. Not in a vindictive or malicious sense. In the literal "action: reaction" sense. Either things will continue to go down hill and satyr will die; unlikely, but possible. Things won't change and we will remain the same; in this weird limbo where we get massive dumps of content or droughts. Or the also unlikely chance satyr will clean up its act. People will stop being dicks to each other; it'll attract more CCs, and the op from /sat/ will actually be upheld. "Everything is variable"; unless it annoys me. I mean, if you go in the AiE or FSR threads, they don't (or didn't) say that, despite it being the case.
I mean, Princess Applejack threads are a single continuity, and discourage namefagging. Or they did. Which means if you create a silly character, you're giving license for everyone else in the thread to use them.
And despite us saying that everything is variable.. It really isn't. Nobody writes anything serious where Glimmer isn't a nerd, or awkward in social situations at least. Tonbo is, most of the time, written as into her /ss/, or at least preferring a younger partner. That doesn't make it complete canon, and it isn't always brought up... But it's rare that it is ignored.
You do get some splits based on names and the like (Sushi/Leona/Lenora; Kaos/Eris; Garret/Garnet), but that's about it for established characters. Probably due to the creation process - so often someone will ask questions to the thread, and hash it all out in public. Which I like.

There was one short with Rory and Glimmer, but compared to all the Twilight greens I've seen on the board, we're really bottlenecking her character and wasting her potential. Much like other characters like Snapshot, Timber, Yuzu, etc. Really, the only one I could really call multifaceted is Hope since she's been around the longest.
