Reposting my concept for Steven vs Amethyst
>Amethyst's role in the team is nulified by Jasper
>The CGs except for Steven start ignoring her and using her on missions
>Amethyst starts wondering around random places for long stretches of time because she nothing else to do
>Still, no one except for Steven really cares because they're too busy investigating Homeworld junk
>When Amethyst runs out the next time, Steven follows her
>She realizes that Amethyst has been delivering recon to a Homeworld envoy
>After the Rubies returned without Jasper and with knowledge that the Earth still wasn't blown up, YD sent an envoy to investigate
>Flashback starts here
>Amethyst had the misfortune of running into this envoy during a solo mission
>Since they were much stronger, Amethyst told them that there were other Gems on the planet at death
>The Homeworld envoy strikes a deal with Amethyst that she will deliver all the information about the Gems and they won't slaughter humans by the millions and all the CGs
>This is why Amethyst left for long stretches of time
>When Steven finds out, he naturally tries to stop Amethyst
>Steven holds up to Amethyst valiantly for a long period of time
>But Amethyst knocks out Steven and sets him some place safe where the homeworlders won't find him
>She apologizes for misusing him and the rest of CGs
>Amethyst then meets up with the envoy
>She gives the final recon the homeworlders wanted
>She stresses again not to hurt any person or gem on Earth
