I remember an autistic pair of fan characters I wanted to make for that Housepets comic. A cougar from a nearby forest, overhearing how pets were treated, and where her fellow big cats saw subjugation, she mistakenly saw it as potentially being treated like the queen she thinks herself to be.
She spent a good amount of time spying on humans, until she found one who would "know their place".
When she found one, and said human(a man who cut himself off from everybody, that isn't work related, after a bad break-up) left his door open, while getting mail, she sneaks in, and makes herself at home. Once he enters, she declares herself his pet, and acts like a spoiled princess.
Almost hostile first meeting (attempts to throw her out, but she is a cougar, and he'd gotten out of shape, and isn't armed), leads to him being torn between calling animal control, and appreciating the few times she acts somewhat friendly to him.
Everyone can likely guess where this would lead, and why I didn't continue it.
As for the thread subject, My favorite webcomic is STILL Gone with the Blast Wave (despite it ending), followed by Oglaf, Freefall, and Housepets, pre Tarot-revealed-as-a-dragon-goddess thing. There was also some comedy thing based off of Lord of the Rings, but can't remember what it was, for the life of me.

Does anyone here use a webcomic tracking service? I watch around 40 (many have finished). I use comic-rocket. It's slow as balls, but it gets the job done.
Does Bedfellows count? It's over now and it was short, but it was fun for what it was, especially for someone who's into rape.
The guy rebooted it into a show which was fine, but went full retard at the end and turned 3D.

Nothing ruins my day as bad as waking up to a housepets update and find out it's fucking superdog.
I flat out stopped reading housepets for a couple of months last time superdog was on.
Nobody ever talks much about Faux Pas. It's made by some old-school furries. Or at least some old furries. They've been doing stuff in the fandom since the 80s. Comic has been going on for ages but never gets much love.
They also have an anthro comic that they're working on.

I really need to read it from the beginning one day. Did it for a while, but lost track and skipped ahead to somewhere else. Now it has so many characters that it's easy to lose track. I'm not a rich man, but I'm planning on backing them on patreon. They're barely pulling in $500 a month and will probably never reach their $750 goal, but they're good people.

How the hell has no one mentioned Off-White? Updates are glacial as artists are currently redoing the first few chapters, and its feral not anthro, but it has one of the best storey lines I've ever read in a webcomic.

Housepets got A LOT better once he wrapped up the dumb cosmic arch and made it about the pets again. The recent arch with Keene was actually pretty good and gave him some needed development while also making him actually sympathetic and likable.
