Mouse Thread #6: Retrospective Edition
All characters welcome, but OCs especially so (tell us all about them, please).
All genders and orientations are fine. Rats also welcome.
If you wish to aid in keeping this thread bumped with art injections once it gets down to around page 6 or so, that would be appreciated. Feel free to post anything new you've found, received or made, or post commentary, at any time, though.
Suggestion for this thread: What got you into anthro mice? Got an OC? How long have you had them and where/how did you get them? How have they changed? Do you have any favourite mouse media of any sort that have disappeared into the mists of time? Maybe someone can help track them down (I love digging for stuff online)...

I figure it's open season from now on for comics, stories and image sequences: If they're more than, say, six pages, just post a few and then link to a download or host, otherwise feel free to post the whole thing. I'll do my best to snaffle them up and add them to the MEGA folder (tell me when posting if you don't want them rehosted there, please).
I'd also like to put details and media for any OCs from these threads into a similar centralised MEGA folder for easy access, so if you want me to do that, please give me a short note/bio on each one and any media you want in the folder (pics, stories, comics, etc). Won't put anything in there without permission. Will update upon request.
Finally, how are you guys feeling about these threads? Do they feel like a "thing"? Are you getting burned out? Would you prefer them to be made bi-weekly, or even monthly? Am I over-managing them?

Personal notes: Still working on writing that story for Olga, if any of you were interested (probably not, none of you have had a sample of my writing yet). Had a bout of stomach trouble, so I didn't get anything done for a few days besides the comics and occasional bumping here.
Also, has anyone seen Pylat/Dickmouse Anon? He was around a few days ago but I haven't heard from him since... heck, maybe we could get a little tally of who's sticking around anyway? No need to use names if you don't want, you can identify yourself by art or OC, I ain't picky.

The story behind this one was this:
There was a mouse city being ravaged by the plague, and the mice who lived in that city needed to get to a nearby city for a medicine that could save them from the deadly disease.
Anyone who tried to go collect the medicine however, would be attacked and eaten by a monstrous weasel who was living in a cave alongside the road.
The town quickly despaired, thinking they would all die from the plague.
Not being able to stand the despair, a young mouse maid volunteered to go combat the weasel, vowing to either kill the weasel, or confine it to its cave. Clinging to their last hope, the mice in the village prepared a party to travel the road and collect the medicine while the weasel was busy.
The maid set out the next day, preparing to confront the beast. Arriving at the mouth of the cave, she drew her father's sword and stood on the highest stone. The weasel, seeing the tiny challenger, was very amused. He decided to toy with his prey, for he wished to destroy the hopes of anyone so arrogant as to challenge him to combat. He also knew of the plague in the town and was looking forward to having no nearby challenge to his authority.
"Who are you, small one, who would dare face me with such boldness?" He asked, a cruel sneer on his face. "I am one who will keep you in this cave, though it will take my life to do so." The maid replied, with a small tired voice. The weasel laughed as he prepared to spring on his prey. "And how, pray tell, would you keep me here?"
The maid raised her sword and cut deep into the palm of her left hand. "With this" she said, smearing the blood along the edge of the steel. "Our despair will become yours." The weasel recoiled, it did not fear any combatant, or even perishing by another's hand. But it was deathly afraid of withering to the plague.
The party of mice were able to make it to the next village to collect the medicine, and the town was, for the most part, saved.

Now, legend has it, the maid has turned to stone in her eternal watch at the entrance to that cave, and the skeleton of the weasel remains as well.

Nobody's given me the go-ahead to put their OCs in yet, though.

Bazza again. I've been saving OC images as people post them, for the sake of keeping everyone's OCs straight in my head - it's kind of become a hobby of late. If you wanna post them with your preferred filenames, though, go ahead.
I'm working on Olga's subfolder now. To give you an example of how I'm seeing these OC folders, I'm going with:

>her current pictures with descriptive filenames in a "pics" subfolder.
Eventually I'll probably put a "stories" subfolder in there too, if I ever finish any. Other OCs could have "comics" folders and whatnot. Just divided up by media type, really.
Artists: Would it be seen as presumptuous if each OC's folder came with an option for a list of pic ideas in .txt format? Not that it'd prevent anyone making offers and receiving art requests within the threads themselves...

So I've seen my OC posted a couple times in these threads, thought I'd speak up.
This is Wynne. She's a to-and-bottom-heavy mouse, with a wicked streak, a weakness for broccoli cheese soup, and a love for big and cuddly girls and small and twinkish guys. She's got a brother and a sister, and is originally a country mouse - but after college, found herself working as an events coordinator for a large multinational - yeah, she likes to have a lot of fun.
She came about shortly after I got into Second Life in 2005/2006. I always sort of liked mice, but it wasn't until I tried my hand at making my own avatars that I slapped together a dead simple mouse, and put together pigtails on her, that I realized that I *really* liked mice. She's on the thick side originally because I thought the concept of a tubby mouse was funny, then it turned straight hot. I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to pushing my own buttons.
