Tulpa general: Math edition

>What are tulpas?
A tulpa is an entity created in the mind, acting independently of, and parallel to your own consciousness. They are able to think, and have their own free will, emotions, and memories. In short, a tulpa is like a sentient person living in your head, separate from you.

>>

Yes. The subreddit and the .info forums are both pretty active, and attract lots of newcomers (especially the subreddit; I'd wager at least half the posts are about new people). I don't think these threads will recruit new people.

and I also don't want newfags fruitin' up these comfy threads

When me and my tup active force, we usually just follow the FAQ_Man guides, we'll work on touching them and feeling them, smelling them. We talk about life (my tulpa is newly vocal and still getting the hang of talking), and also cuddle a bit. We don't have a wonderland, though, I imagine if you had one of those, you'd have lots more to do.

Hello fellow /trash/men and/or /trash/women.

So I've been thinking of making a tulpa for about a year and I want to start my first ever tulpa.

I believe you start with forcing? I already did the planning section a long time ago but never did anything past that part. How long does a usual force session take? What do I think about? Is it just meditation? Do I look at a refrence of the tulpa?

Please, I need help with this. This will shape my entire life.

Then I like you anon.

As for forcing, go ahead. If you've already done planning and such then it should be no problem.

Session lengths are different for everyone, but generally run about 30 mins to 2 hours. At least in my experience.

There are a few guides on what exactly to do during forcing, but again it's really sort of anyones ball game. Some talk to their tulpa about their day, others go through hypothetical situations in order to add more character to their tup, etc. etc.

If looking at a reference every so often helps you keep a form of your tup in your head, go for it.

Just poke around a few guides and figure out what would work best for you.

It's been a week since I started devloping my tulpa and I am becoming frustrated and losing all motivation.

I can't keep talking to her, I don't even want to hear my own voice anymore. All I can do with her is walk her around some generic area or my neighborhood in a wagon and talk to her, I've even fucking explained to her photosynthesis and why my high school science teacher didn't think we actually went to the moon.

I'm fucking burnt, I've talked more in the last week than I have in six months.

Yes, intrusives are annoying.

The creepy ones, from my point of view, are harmless as long as you have plain control of your mind. I mean, It's your fucking mind, why should a creepy little shit make you run away from it?
As to making it go away, ignoring it works, I guess. It gets much harder if you mentally associate it with something There's an alien thing on one of my wonderland's bathrooms to this day, or so I think, because that bathroom itself makes me think of it.

Now here comes my true fear, and it has nothing to do with creepy figures. I'm afraid, deep inside, of accidentally making a tup from an intrusive thought, since I'd imagine that would be fairly easy i I trully wanted to. Also, one of mine was forced and remodelled from from an intrusve, so I know I could make it happen.

Why would it be bad to have another tulpa, you ask? Because I don't want to end up with many, of course. And someone once said in the old /mlp/ threads, a good way not to get a 10th is not making the 3rd in first place.

I did it the other way around, and it was relatively easy to create the form. It's only gotten easier to visualize and more realistic over time however. I probably spent an hour or two a night for about a month, took me like two weeks to "finish" the form (looked less "realistic" then mind you) and my approach was more "hands on" than just imagining.

I did write a guide but I'd rather not post it because muh anonymity. I did have someone in the olden days say they used it and it worked for them, though again I mainly created the methods for myself because all we had were Irish and FAQ's guides and they were inaccurate on several points and I can't into closed-eyed visualization.
>>
>>3202561
>I can't into closed-eyed visualization

Is this bad? I always force and visualize with my eyes open since I fall asleep when I close them.

Not particularly, but those older guides preferred closed-eyed if I remember correctly, I haven't read a guide in years. I figured I was just weird since everyone else I talked to could do it closed eyed. It's a pity that I'm too lazy to bother with imposition even almost 4 years in, I tried the whole "overlay a replica of your surroundings that's in the wonderland on IRL to impose" thing and got minor results a couple years back but it's a hassle.

I was a lazy piece of shit teenager when I made her and I forced maybe two times out of the week. Other than that it was talking to her while playing video games or watching youtube videos. You're actively doing it so it shouldn't take you anywhere near as long. Though for knowing she was vocal it's kind of hard to say. At first she would respond to me with one word answers at random but I thought it was parroting since I could somehow feel what she'd answer with, but people have said this was normal so I'm not sure.

Ok done with my first ever 'forcing'.So I just kinda imagined my tulp in a white room sitting Japanese style. Then I just, talked to them. It was strange for 4 reasons.
1. I didn't know what thoughts were mine
2. My (vision?) of her kinda disappeared after talking
3. She started to stray from being 'shy'. I guess because I "installed" the trustful trait?
4. and she kinda developed her voice over the 40 minute session.

I fell asleep midway. When I woke up she was still right there in my mind. I then went to my pool and mildly passive forced while swimming.

Is this a good start? Did I fuck it all up?

active forcing can include visual or sensory based practice. so you can focus on making them have a better form/smell/feel ecetera while you talk to them.

or you can build up that wonderland and take them on an adventure. I took my tupper on a walk to make a cozy log cabin in the woods that connects to the mainframe of the center of my wonderland. im thinking about maybe talking to them while the fire in the center sets.

the more I talk about this, the more it feels like being a kid again.

to everyone who has a vocal tulpa:
do they speak in mindvoice only? or do they go for actual auditory hallucinations? if so, do they really sound as loud as another person in the room?

I would love for my tup to speak in full auditory hallucinations but he isn't even vocal yet.
>>
>>3204579
Mindvoice all the way.
Actual hallucinations would be considered imposition already, and albeit touch/sound is relatively easier compared to vision, it's still advanced tup material which I believe most people won't even bother trying.
>>
>>3204579
Mindvoice, imposition is difficult and not worth my time to bother with. The one time it happened it was as you describe, and I was about 90% asleep.
>>
>>3204579
Mindvoice only, trying to get auditory hallicinations seem a lot of effort for little payoff. If I get pretty drunk, it can sometimes sound like auditory hallucinations, but by the time I reach that stage I'm pretty much gone anyway.

Wait, do you mean voices that you hear in the ear that sound like real voices, or imposed voices that could be heard from a certain distance away from you in the real world?
Can someone explain this to me?

>>
>>3204697
Imposition is pretty much the point where your tulpa becomes perceived as pretty much as real as you are int he "real world". It's advanced hallucination really; it's just tricking your senses. So pretty much you'd actually be "hearing" your tulpa talk instead of however they sound inside your head being just in your head. Like, you'd hear them as if they were beside you instead of in your head or w/e.

Depends, where your issues in anyway related to tups? Could they be exacerbated by a tups?

Otherwise, there's not much danger. Creepypastas are memes, and people who actually get fucked up by a tup were extremely fucked up to begin with.

Just go into it carefully and you should be fine.

Tulpas don't really die, they just fade away. I've heard it described as slowly falling asleep. Tulpas run entirely on attention so by starving them (aka ignoring them), you make them go away eventually. You don't really want to do that, though. Tulpas are a massive improvement on one's life.

The only way to kill a tulpa is starvation
Basically you take someone who loves and trusts you, imprison them, and give them a few months to contemplate the fact that you now want them to die while they die.

So don't make one if you don't want one.

Wonderland sex kind of sucks, to be honest. When we do it I have to give him my complete and undivided attention, and that's rather difficult for me when my mind is switching back and forth between things that get me off. Plus my libido is shit, so if I really want to do it with him then I have to wait a day or two for my hormones to build up to compensate for me getting distracted while we do the do. Basically the hornier I am the easier it is for me to focus on him and get off to just the thought of him. We don't really do it much anymore because I keep feeling like it's too much work, and his libido isn't any better than mine. Cuddles are nice though; we like cuddling.

Dream sex is a million times better, but that's extremely rare.

I intend to just make a lot of different island with different things on them.

An indication that form would be finished is if the image of your tup is burned in your mind and you can visualize it from memory easily from all corners and perspective, and with every detail.

An indication of when you're done with narration is if your tup is completely sentient and vocal without any help from you. All in all, still pretty self explanatory and subjective.

Imposition is never finished.

I don't think we've ever had massively incongruous opinions when it comes to food, but we do have different favorites.

One is an aspiring chef who spends time in wonderland cooking and cooks real food by proxy. Prefers savory foods, especially ones she got to cook. Today she cooked fish fillet using a fish her little sister caught in the wonderland and stuff from her sister's garden. Pizza is her guilty pleasure.

Her sister loves the absolute fuck out of sweets. To pic related levels. It's unhealthy.

Don't forget that cute fluffy pony tulpas are the best friends a human could ever have.

It's harder and harder to avoid sexual intrusive thoughts during forcing.

I have a few questions to the tulpamancers.

1. How can I begin to form my tulpa if I don't hear my "mind voice"? I don't even have it when I read a text to myself in my mind. I'm also really really bad at visualizing things.

2. What should I talk about? I read someone say you can just go through your day by retelling it in your head.

3. Should I imagine the tulpa answering me and reacting when I "tell her" about my day? Or should I just try to imagine her sitting there silently listening?

4. Is it a bad idea to communicate with the tulpa before sleeping?

I know that 4 is a myth, and does not matter.

You don't need mind voice to visualize. You need to be able to see things in your head. For example, think of your favorite food. Do you see it in your head? If you can't manage this, I think there's a guide on the wiki that's helpful with that issue.

That works, you can generally read them anything.

The latter, although it helps to view the wonderland as a separate "Place" and that the environment is static while the tulpa just isn't moving.

If you fall asleep while you're forcing yes because that cuts your sessions short, but otherwise no.

No I'm over here. I've had some brief lewd intrusive thoughts but nothing I didn't stop asap. Why would you think it was me?

Sort of. I know what it looks like and can kind of see the general shape of it.

Thanks for all the answers.

is it true that you can just parrot to get a tulpa?
