Did anyone else find it odd or even a little disappointing how easy Lapis was left alone, accepted, and even allowed to be around Steven with no one else but Peridot around?
The Crystal Gems have proven to be very concerned and cautious around Lapis, to cruel extents, and Lapis has provided nothing but justification for that. She tried to turn Steven against them, tried to drown him, stole the ocean-which is a pretty big fucking deal for Earth, the planet they all threw away their immortal lives to protect-and tattled on them to Homeworld.
I'm not trying to stir up any Lapis hate, I'm just saying that the Crystal Gems should be more worried about her-and they HAVE been very worried about her in the past, to the extreme and unjustified extents, trying to smash the mirror and keeping her imprisoned and shit. Even if Garnet's future vision doesn't see anything bad, they all know it's not 100% reliable, and she and Pearl have been proven to be overprotective of Steven-again, to extreme extents.
So fucking why would they be so cool with her having free reign around Steven with no supervision besides Peridot?
