This is just some insecure bullshit. Naylor has a serious case of the samefaces and samebodies. He draws great asses, but only as long as they're small and dainty asses. I've never caught him on drawing a big ass, or a muscular ass, or any other ass than he regularly draws. I also don't like his eyes. They're too big and cartoony for the semi-realistic style of his bodies, and they mess up the proportions of the characters' faces. They also tend to look opaque and lifeless.
Lastly, Naylor is known as an overt Republican. I don't really have any problem with that, but it's really messed up his reputation online, because people hate politics the moment someone isn't propagating their own, personal flavour of politics. Like, shit son, a dude doing a webcomic put some low-brow political commentary in there. Stop the fucking presses! Guess I'll stop reading Unsounded now, too, because of all the fucking niggers.

Besides when artist improves, the style change isn't so sudden and radical that they wouldn't be able to get work during that journey.
Also this way of thinking is why the fandom is filled to the brim with sub-mediocre artists.
They have extremely weak standards and are happy with settling down to that low level.
Mediocre artists from DeviantArt who are one day intending on working in the professional industry, are able to wipe the floor with most of the furry fandom's top brass and that really shouldn't be the case.

If we're talking about furry artists in general that I like, some of them are Juanjo Guarnido(the guy who draws Blacksad) Tracy Butler (Lackadaisy), Jennadelle,Kaji,Lingrimm and that whole lot that draw similar stuff, Sixthleafclover, Loculi, Veramundis, Totesfleisch8 and Ovopack to name a few.
Couple of artists outside furries that I like would be, Range Murata, Massimiliano Frezzato, Budd Root and Frank Frazetta.
I'd have to go with guoh-art, pretty much the perfect realistic dimensions that I would want in a real world. I do love more crazier fetishes and dimensions but I feel like his style would just work with actual day to day interactions. I'd probably also say vader-san as well.
