That's been one of the main reasons why I've wanted Steven to fuse with Gems for so long now. I think it could be a great way to show how the Gems feel about Steven, and we'd get a look at how his relationship with them are through the fusions. For example, the Pearl/Steven fusion could give us insight on what Pearl thinks about Steven (and vice versa) or how Pearl is unsure about Steven's powers and what he can or can't do due to both his inexperience and hybrid nature.
