Well I was talking about cartoons specifically since live action shows and cartoons are done differently. Even then, cartoons are done one of two ways. Some have a season finale and then take a few month break while others have hiatuses within the season and sometimes have a season finale and premiere a week or two apart (In SU's case, literally a day apart with Season 1 and 2). But yeah, I feel like Summer of Steven was gonna be the 2nd half of season 2 but CN, being complete dipshits, decided to cut it in half. And now apparently it's just gonna be bombs until the end of the show, which to me just seems like CN pushing out the show to get rid of it. Plus we're just gonna have a fucking LONG ass hiatus if all of season 3 is aired during the summer since in no way will they have enough season 4 episodes in their backlog by the end of Summer of Steven

They started recording season 3 before it got chopped sometime in November/December (they recorded episodes 99/100 in November since before the chop, season 2 would have 104 episodes). The chop had to be recent due to the extreme lack of communication between CN and the crew. While I do like the bombs as well, I don't like that a hiatus usually follows. With recording for the now season 4 in November, if season 3 ends in August and the usual holiday hiatus CN takes, we'd probably get one bomb in like October before going on another hiatus.
