What I really find fascinating about fluffies is how the fall short of almost every other creature. Even domesticated dogs and cats, with all the selective breeding, still have instincts and features that they can fall back on. Fluffies however, are the opposite. They're creatures that were bred from the get go to live safe, easy lives as house pets, yet tragically found themselves tossed into a world that they are completely unequipped, both physically and mentally, to handle.
They're slow, fragile, terrible at hiding, and have almost no means defending themselves against predators (aside from using their own explosive diarrhea, and even then that sometimes only serves to piss of whatever is after them only further). Their entire existence hinges upon human care, and without they are doomed, both due to the cruelty of nature, and their own stupidity.
