Unless you're a casual, being a furry is a choice- subconsciously or consciously- to use the animal to represent your understanding of self. At some point in your life you were exposed to something under the umbrella of "furry" and thought, yes, this pleases me; this is what grants me pleasure. This is a representation of what I want to spend my life indulging in. So, they do.

Probably Guoh, at this point. I like him because his style is genuinely good, and not dependent on it being porn. He also strikes a good balance between representing human and animal characteristics. With Guoh, you get the idea that you're actually looking at a character that could exist in some reality, rather than something purely intended to satisfy a fetish.
Other than that, Kikurage, Neurodyne, Ruaidri and probably someone I'm forgetting at the moment. Kikurage is a bit hit and miss. A lot of his stuff doesn't do it for me, and he has the annoying tendency to draw women with an underdeveloped lower jaw. It really bothers me, and I can't enjoy any of his pics where he does this. But whenever he sits down and decides to draw a chubby furry girl, he knocks it out of the park. Aside from the jaw thing, he's a very accomplished artist. Neurodyne is just kind of crazy, and almost exclusively draws extremely sleazy science fiction kind of stuff. I honestly don't even jack off to most of his stuff, but I like the fact that he makes it. Ruaidri is pretty good at drawing fur, and he's into BDSM. He's a bit hit and miss, but his good stuff is among my favorites.
