I can tell you from personal experience that this never works. One thread always ends up dying consistently until no one cares to make it anymore, and everyone else is scared to reintegrate that lost content into the thread that remains.
Same with splitting up the thread into different "levels" of size (i.e., a pudgy/chubby thread, an obese thread, and a blob thread). 8ch's /furry/ tried this because people complained, and consequently there are four or five very slow threads meant for very niche interests unnecessarily clogging up the board, all because some whiny autists get assblasted over anything with genitalia not congruent to their sexual orientation.
One fat thread for all sizes and all sexes would be in the best interest for everyone, especially since /trash/ isn't exactly the fastest board. Learn from the mistakes of the past, rather than just infinitely repeating them.

I don't really have any formal artsy words or guides to offer up, but I can speak from my experience if that would help you, for whatever reason you're asking.
My best advice is to just utilize sag and squish and just a matter of figuring out how their belly interacts with their legs, or the ground if it's big enough. And don't be afraid to really go overboard and exaggerate that sag and squish to really make it look heavy. I've been trying to get better at that myself recently and I'd like to think that it's starting to work out a bit better. To really get some droop going on, I do a large sketch circle in line with the character's perspective so I know where the bottom of their belly should be and from there, like I said, just play around with how the belly would squish and follow the contour of their legs.
Beyond that, it's just a lot of practice and attempts to get a feel for that kind of squish and contour you're working with. Hopefully that's at least some help to you.

I always thought she looked somewhat like a furry, flubby Shambler, from Quake (something someone else pointed out on their Tumblr, which they denied as an inspiration but admitted it could have happened). The species name they did give her (Chthon) does share its name with a DIFFERENT Quake monster, although really it's just a Lovecraft name lifted for both.
I replayed Quake last night. It holds up well.
