Only if it can multiply and is indestructible.
300 dollar rectangle

literally the easiest custom to make
a fool and his money are soon parted

>300 dollar rectangle
*with moon base
>>5740363
It comes with a 1/6th scale moon?!
This was already done.
That's retarded.
Someone should make figures of some of the apes from the beginning with the monolith as a backdrop on a stand. That I'd be hyped for.
>>5740580
Why bother with even that? I have piles of blank VHS tapes that could be used instead.
>>5740661
It's a novelty, like a pet rock. Don't let this push your autism into the red, anon.
>>5740580
>action figure
Oh God my sides are orbiting Saturn
>>5739950
ive actually used hershey bars to play "that big rectangle thing" from that movie, or Monol with my monster rancher toys
itd always lose though, it always had ththose two weaknesses. mmm
You guys are dumb. The big news is that if this sells well, they plan to give us Jupiter in the same scale.
>>5740580
>it's full of stars

The hype is REAL!!

watch them charge $200, and watch the One Sixth Warrior retards fork it over without second thought.
>>5740956
but i want uranus
>>5741658
>watch them charge $200
it's, uh, $325:
https://legendshobbies.com/legendsnew/index.php?dest=products&prod_id=5182
>>5741923
Oh for fuck's sake, it's a solid lump of fucking plastic! With no features or moving parts!
1:6 is a really fucked up market. It's a bunch of $40 dolls sold at high markup, accessories and clothes go for more than their 1:1 counterparts, and now this.
Which is weird, because if you go to the OSW BST boards, those people suddenly turn into the world's cheapest poorfags over 1:6 shit.
>>5741931
Well, to be fair, we should find out how accurate it is. Do its sides have a ratio of 1:4:9:16:25?
>>5741923
>Plexiglas Monolith
>Our Price $325.00
Is this real life?
I can't believe this is like by a real company that's been around and made other shit.
Because if I just saw this and you asked me what it was, I would say it was someone as a joke trying to see what's the most overpriced piece of shit they could possibly sell to 1/6 collectors, and I'd expect that to be like a new company popping up out of nowhere, even if it was just an existing company operating under a fake name, because I wouldn't expect a real company to want to ruin their reputation with it.
Like is there anyone who isn't reacting to this like it's a joke?
>>5741981
>>5741990
a chunk of $10 Plexiglas and a cheaply molded base.
>>5739950
First time I saw this I thought it was saying that someone was making plans to put a to scale monolith on the moon.
Combination of wishful thinking and sleep deprivation resulting in dissapointment
>>5741923
Goddamn, I thought it would somehow be a decently sized base. I suppose the resin accounts for some of the cost if it's substantial, but that's still a hefty price.
>>5742991
nah, it's way overpriced like all 1:6 crap
>>5741923
Honestly, for the price that solid plexiglass / acrylic stuff seems to go for, that price for something so large seems kinda justified. Not that I'd buy it, but I can see where the crazy price comes from.
>>5741931
You said it. I bailed on 1:6 when it became apparent that availability/customization was really no better than 1:12. Nobody will root hair with bangs and good luck finding accessories beyond ill-fitting suits and M16s.
I got out of 1:6 years ago. I tried picking it back up again this past month, but it really is a huge money pit. The 1:6 collector scene is also full of snobs and assholes who would rather pay Hot Toys prices with a smile than dare question paying game console or PC prices for a toy.
>>5741738
You can't handle Uranus.

>height: 24”

Welp. I'm really fucking happy about this.
Finally some affordable 2001 figures.
>>5741931
well said

>You guys are dumb. The big news is that if this sells well, they plan to give us Jupiter in the same scale.
[toilers]I assume you've read 2010[/spoilersontoy]

I did, huge letdown after 2001.
>>5744287
>it doesn't even follow the quadratic sequence.
Close enough, nerd.
>>5739950
What the fuck?
>>5740580
i want to stick this up my butt, dont know why, I think it would feel very cosmic
>>5740580
Too bad it's from thinkgeek, else I'd buy it for those sweet zero points of articulation.
>>5741941
pls explain unless trolling.
>>5751683
Same to you.
Oh wait, I know you're trolling.
>>5751702
actually, i was being serious.
1:4:9:16:25
depth, width, height, ?, ?
>>5751705
Not that anon, but
https://betterexplained.com/articles/surprising-patterns-in-the-square-numbers-1-4-9-16/
The ratio of the monolith's sides was an important part of the novel.
