I'm hoping Mafex will throw their hat into the ring because the Figuarts is looking pretty abysmal.
>>5735042
> Best spidey.
> Can't do signature pose.
Here we gooooo.
This thread will be shit.
>>5735068
Considering it starts with calling a figure that literally had botched leg articulation from the factory a 'best' I think it's a bait thread.
>>5735060
Most overrated toy ever.
>>5735087
Ok. Tell me what's the best Batman toy in that scale?
>>5735107
Literally any spidey that has toes and can stick his legs out at more than a 40 degree angle meets that. Hell AMS2 Spidey from the year before is better.
Still though he has the best paint job of any effort so far but I can't believe it took them this long to stop it with the molded webbing.
>>5735102
There's too many different versions of Batman to call one 'the best'.
Like for example, the best Bale Batman is probably the Mafex. That doesn't make it 'the best' Batman figure ever. Neither is the Mezco.
>>5735114
what would you say is the best in this scale?
>>5735060
Man cloth looks so much better at that scale than it usually does.
>>5735131
Not that anon, but I'd have to say the Mafex, shitty qc and all
>>5735137
wait, is that not Raimi Spider-Man?
>>5735139
No, Andrew Garfield, Amazing Spider-Man 2 from 2014
>>5735137
but thats articulation over style, its not the best because its awful aesthetically
>>5735137
Jesus fuck I hate that texturing shit it has going on.
>>5735042
Best representation coming, TRY ME FAGGOTS
>>5735153
OK anon, name a better one. what do YOU think is the best 6 inch SPidey?
>>5735131
There's a lot of factors to consider but the old McF spidey is still the best single figure not including head swaps and other mods. Yes scalping has ruined him and his paint is dogshit but the hard plastic limbs and focus on articulation still puts him above and beyond in my book.
Best agent venom just by default, but honestly my favorite venom just in general.
>>5735115
>different versions
So you don't know a better figure? That's ok
>>5735167
It's completely subjective you fucking sperg.
Some of us don't like lumpy soft goods on 1/12 scale figures.
>>5735173
You sound mad ann look at the thread you are, it's not my fault you like to get mad when someone goes against your opinion
What's the best batman in your opinion? You're favorite in case you are getting all butthurt about it
>>5735048
lol. best cap coming through
best 1/12 venom, love the lethal protector look
>people are actually calling Walmart shit like Hasbro best
>>5735213
this
>>5735115
Except OP calls for best 1:12. Mafex Batman isn't strict 1:12, nor is the SHF Injustice one. DCUC and DCC don't have 1:12 candidates either unless you look at BTAS and Icons, and you'd be lying if you said either of those were better than the Mezco DKR.
So, name a better 1:12 Batman.
>>5735212
I dont understand why people constant hail this as anything other than mediocre. In terms of sculpt and articulation its fucking terrible. His legs are like mashed potatoes. This figure is the ultimate pleb detector. I'll stick with the select.
>>5735212
>>5735256
It's just cause it's well articulated. The body mold is fucking garbage, surprised Hasbro keeps using it.
Revoltech just teased a Spidey and Venom, those could be interesting.
>>5735161
marvel select is better in sculpt and paint - the only issue is scale but canon-wise venom can grow so...
>>5735212
Nope, sorry.
>>5735458
1/12 scale, sorry
>>5735290
Sorry the icons is better
>>5735282
fuck, you win.
>>5735458
>chest emblem cuts across waist joint when it didn't need to
>big holes in arms for a gimmick when they should've had separate arms
The fucking Hasbro version painted the emblem right, and Hasbro is run by retarded people.
>>5735687
not really, in soem displays he would work, if you have him crouching and so on, but the ml is big enough, because og the body they use
>>5735677
>Diamond Select's failed attempt at Muppets
>sloppy paint and cartoon like sculpts
Without a doubt they're beat by Palisades Muppets, good luck trying to find a Select Kermit that doesn't have a sloppy paint job on his eyes.
>>5735575
Select are not even in scale with one another, they're PAK tier annoying.
For example, the recent Carnage was huge, and there's no reason to have him if he's not in scale with Spidey and Venom.
Same deal with Deadpool/Cable duo. Deadpool is like 8.5", 1/10th scale my ass he's the size of NECA predators
>>5735702
is it bad that im considering buying him just for the banjo?
>>5735702
I still want to pick this up. He just needs some custom TLC.
aside from the slop how's the quality overall? the joints and materials?
>>5735087

yeah if you save up your neetbux and get one in hand or even go somewhere that you can view it in the window box you wouldn't be shitposting.

oh way, this is a 1:12 bestest thread.
Sucks that there's such poor selection in 1:12

Movie casuals, pls leave
Some may not like Revo joints, but you can't deny that Revoltech made the best 1/12 Ultron out of the box without any need for some serious modding/customizing (unless you count the MS due to Ultron's varying height in the comics).
>inb4 he's the wrong size
He's smaller than he should be but Revoltech's recent revival is meant to be proper 1/12, also his stylized proportions actually serve to compensate for the small size.
>>5736168
It's for sure the best MCU Ultron, no question. It's even larger than the Figuarts.
>>5736168
The bigger problem is that movie Ultron is shit, period.
>>5736176
is there a good non-MCU Ultron?
>>5736188
Marvel Select
>>5736178
but dat ass doe
>>5736178
This.
>>5736176
I still remember when the specs came out and a lot of sites listed the Figuarts as being taller. I was surprised to find that it was the other way around after getting both in hand.
>>5736178
I thought he was alright but I don't really hold it against anyone who thinks this since movie Ultron was far from perfect (movie was terrible though). The title of best Ultron definitely goes to the one from the "Avengers: Rage of Ultron" OGN.
>>5736196
ehats the best 12th scale Cap, then, friend?
>>5736188
The Select is good but it is beginning to show its age. The hips don't look so good being spherical and all (Ultron is a robot so maybe it's something one could overlook), the wrists are just swivels, and it has a redundant swivel/hinge elbow instead of double elbows... those are pretty much the only faults. Otherwise, good paint, nice sculpting, great range of motion, comes with a pretty wildly detailed base stand, and is inexpensive.
>>5736213
Blasphemy probably but imo, the newest one. Good proportions and sculpt, the classic costume, comes with a fucking capwolf head. My only bitch is that the shield seems a little small.
>>5736220
That shit is ugly.
All the Mezco ones are going to blow these out of the water.
>>5736226
any better one that a consumer has actually touched?
>>5736226
I wish Mezco committed to doing pure comic looks more than weird hybrid modern costumes for their classic style costumes.
Let's do this: what's the best 1/12 Vader?
>>5736239
One of them is definitely classic style.
>>5736247
does Samurai Vader count?
>>5736247
Figuarts for appearance.
Revoltech for posing.
>>5736250
I think that's what he meant by this
>than weird hybrid modern costumes for their classic style costumes
>>5736255
I mean it has the appearance of the classic and not a hybrid.
>>5736247
Don't listen to this guy >>5736254
It's definitely the Mafex (left in pic related). Figuarts is a manlet with monkey arms. Revoltech is just hideous.
>>5736258
Is this a joke post?
>>5736258
But anon, the one on the left looks worse.
>>5736262
>>5736263
Are these joke posts? I thought the general consensus was that Mafex was the most acceptable. There definitely isn't a perfect, or even good, Vader yet.
>>5736271
>I thought the general consensus
You thought wrong. Get that ugly disproportionate shit out of here.
>>5736258
>>5736271
I'd like to think Mafex and the Bandai model kit are a close tie for vanilla Vader.
Mafex does have some iffy proportions while the model kit requires so much modding it might as well be a starting base for a proper custom figure (that's not even counting the Black Series mashups with the model kit). I'd say out of the box, Mafex definitely has the edge with the price, size, and amount of accessories it comes with.
>>5736279
He's not entirely wrong though. I've seen a lot of people think it's a tie between Mafex and the Bandai model kit. That said, we have yet to get a perfect Vader so far.
>>5736253
>Samurai Vader
Fuck, that's such a great figure.
How Bandai managed to mess up the vanilla outfit when the samurai version turned out so good is beyond me though.
>>5736289
>How Bandai managed to mess up the vanilla outfit when the samurai version turned out so good is beyond me though.
Bandai is always fucking shit up.
>>5736279
>thinking your opinion = general consensus
Go fuck a tree
>>5736247
Mafex. You can't really call the SHF 1/12 due to its incredible shortness, and anyone that says Revo is best for anything needs to bury themselves in a deep grave and never bother humanity ever again. There's no other real option.
>>5735948
>Who needs a Mezco one:12?
>You knoe, yes?

This would be the best "classic" cap if they hadnt forgotten to add the scales to the suit. That shit bothers me to no end.
In my humble opinion from what ive seen best cap will be from mezco.

Nope
>>5737201

yeah this is totally better...
>>5737170
To me this is better due to the more stern look, more intricate helmet and no paint -- what do you call them? diffusions?
Also, not a big fan of the painted hammer, looks action figure-y if you catch my drift
>>5737201
That thing is awful. The proto was great, but it got mangled on the way through production.
>>5737170
>>5737259
If you're going to allow oversized Thors into 1/12 GOAT contention, then just post the objective best.
>>5737327
Why oversized? 1/12 is not 6 inches
>>5737342
I don't even get what your comment is getting at.
>>5737348
well then you're not a very intelligent person.
>>5737342
But ...1/12 ..is 6 inches..
>>5737351
You're stating that 1/12 is not 6 inches. And then you vaguely question "why oversized". They're two disparate thoughts strung together in one post. Articulate your thoughts, because you've provided nothing of substance thus far. It's like me saying to you "Why post? Words are not always nouns."
If you're ESL, you're doing a good job. If you're a native speaker... maybe you just went to public school or something.
>>5737342
Are you asking why ML Thor is considered oversized? Because it's like 7.5" tall, dummy.
>>5737387

there's really no reason to say any thor is better than the Select NOW! Thor. The only one that isn't shit is the SDCC Thor and even that one just doesn't have as many positives as the Select.
It's a shame more people don't realize how great a figure the Select is, especially when its the exact same size as all the legends
>>5737387
but wouldnt 7.5" would be considered in 1/12 scale with Thor's canonical height? Making these "oversized" (as another anon put it) figures IN SCALE?

>>5737601
Is that a Mattelshit on the left? Because it looks as good as an 80s toy, ie complete shit.
Also, holy fuck, how the shit did Hasbro make this? Their COPS line from the 80s was 100x better than these pieces of shit
Great cartoon though.
>>5737783
Yes that's all we got friend, I don't even count the Mattel. But Mezcos looks like the only choice
>>5737793
Hasbro didn't make that Conan, Toybiz did.
>>5737701
When is Mezco supposed to make a Conan?
>>5737783
Oh my God, is the one in the middle the Icons? That looks. . .disappointing.
So this thread has been comic stuff so far, but what about this guy? I know Toybiz released like 20 of them and The Bridge Direct released at least one. Are any of them decent or all the TB ones ruined by action features that gimp the articulation?
>>5737880
it was supposed to look like this, but either the head got switched with a Figuarts one or maybe the paint apps are shit and the details aren't showing.
Haven't seen him in person yet.
>>5737915
Yeah, that promo shot's old and inaccurate, and they completely fucking botched the release. DC Icons has been a super rocky line so far.
>>5737880
>That looks. . .disappointing.
It really is. The face looks wonky, the head doesn't crane up and the ab crunch doesn't extend backwards so no flying poses, and no thigh or waist swivel. And I don't know if this is just an issue with my particular figure or a production problem, but the left leg is a couple millimeters shorter than the right. Notice the sticky tack I put on the bottom of his left boot so the fucker can stand upright.
It breaks my heart but the Icons Superman kind of blows.

So then the Marvel Select is better? It doesn't have clown feet or giant mickey mouse over-inflated hands like the ML.
>>5740383

Normally I could just say "refer to Venom: The Madness to prove what an assclown you are" but I am kinda doubting that you were even alive in the decade that it was published. So in this instance, I will just magnanimously move on because you are coming into it from a perspective of youthful ignorance and therefore have zero idea about anything beyond the Bazinga Age of comics.
I used to own this figure but it got lost when I moved. Damn shame too, it was one of my favorites overall.
>>5740497
>So then the Marvel Select is better? It doesn't have clown feet or giant mickey mouse over-inflated hands like the ML.
Why would it be better?
McFarlane drew the best Spider-Man ever and it's why his style was kept by other top artists who drew the character (Bagley, Campbell).
So most people will agree that McFarlane Spiderman is better sculpted than anything from MS.

1/12
And guess what buddy, Marvel Select Venom is fucking 1/10.
I dont give a fuck if he changes size, if some artist drew him bigger for some run, or if he looks bigger in some panel due to some art inconsistancy, the Marvel Select Venom is a 1/10 scale version of the figure, and does not belong in this thread.

Please be joking...
>>5744325
I agree with >>5743386 , I didn't buy that MS Thor simply because that hammer twirl looks silly. Thor looks like he's literally holding a shield of 12 hammers. If they painted only one hammer and did that sort of 'ghosting' thing that happens when you realistically twirl something, it would have looked cool AND saved them money from not having to paint every single one.

A friend of mine had a 6" TB Gandalf the Grey that was pretty great. I don't remember the action features really gimping most of those unless the sculpt dictated something funky.

>>5745693
Damn sorry, thought you were talking about the guy who posted the PAK.
Welp I just went full retard.
>>5745688
>any figure of him is a "1/12 scale"
you're the one saying ANY, no not ANY figure you dumbshit because Venom can't be any size, if you consider the PAK as 1/12 then he would be like 11 feet tall and I don't think he's ever been that huge in the comics
However, Ant-Man could have a lot of 1/12 scale figures of various heights!
>>5745730
>he doesn't remember when Venom was 12 feet high
fucking moviefags need to stop talking about things they know nothing about.
fuck off already.
>>5745741
ah so you're saying PAK Venom is a 1/12 Venom, thanks for the clarification
>>5745668
>I-I w-was just pretending to b-be retarded!
No, you're just the dipshit that thinks that MS Venom isn't the best Venom to use for a 1/12 display.
>>5745805
But its not a 1/12 figure anon, its 1/10.
>>5745814
Non-scale character, it's irrelevant. It's like saying an Ant-Man figure is disqualified.
>>5746191
Someone ban these fags already.
>>5746191
>scale matters for characters that can change size
>>5746191
>Why the fuck should I listen to you?
Because you're ruining an otherwise enjoyable thread you fuck
>>5745827
That's stupid too. Sure, you could use a MU Ant-Man in your 1/12 display, but Ant-Man would never shrink to 4' so it's ridiculous and out of scale. Cut this shit out.
>>5746647
>MU
Hehehe, check out the casual that doesn't know about the pack-in Ant-Man that came with 616 Black Widow. But of course it'd never work in a 1:12 display because it's designed for a 1:10 line, right? Man, autism must be really shitty to live with.
>>5746689
>literally a 1/12 sce thread
>so many faggots posting marvel selects
You idiots missed the point so hard, holy shit
>>5746689
Nothing implies I don't know about it you mutant.
The only autistic thing here is you constantly shitting up the thread over it.
>>5746741
Not everyone cares as much as you
>>5746744
>Not everyone cares as much as you
>he edits his images
Hahahaha, wow.
>>5746741
>being this much of a faggot
Hahahaha oh my god you retard
Welp
I think we can agree this thread is officially over
>>5746811
lets try to get this back on track.
>>5745741
can i have a toy of this venom please?
>>5746964
>T-crotch
>Nu52 design
Yeesh
>>5747789
I know, pretty great right?
>>5746844
Be careful, the scale autist might reeee you to death over this.
>>5747876
Dude, seriously, fuck off already, both of you.
>>5743107
I found one in great shape in a bin of loose figures at a local con 2 years ago and paid $2.50. I've been meaning to sell him but I'm lazy. Is he really going for $200 now?
>>5748180
certainly:

>>5747789
not the guy that posted deathstroke but why won't you post a better one.... if you're so great?
>>5747876
stop it you, im trying to get this thread back to fun territory.
Another -- and possibly a controversial one.
I dont like the paints as much (too bright) but the body (thinner frame) makes this my favorite daredevil.
>>5748834
What year is this figure? I dont think ive ever seen it posted before
>>5749200
2009 according to ML.net
http://marvellegends.net/Line/MarvelLegends/HML04.htm
It was a great wave for variants
>>5748825
Fine, I will. Mr. Touchy.
>>5751873

>>5746964
Is this really what he looks like now? What an awful design.
