The knees may not tab in correctly but Pyra Magna doesn't actually need them to since the joints are so firm they act like a double joint like most people thought the mold's did for a while. So as a result she just kinda naturally stands taller than Hot Spot or Onslaught.
The only reason you'd know Rust Dust is "upside down" is because the reeeeally small tampo insignia is upside down. Otherwise it looks alright.

Is there a third-party version of this somewhere for less than $15? Or, is there another stand with a similar post? The one that came with my MP Tracks sheared off. I was able to get the peg out, but the stand is pretty worthless without the peg, which is pretty difficult to glue back on.

The prototypes/ test shots really need their own display. They're too special jst to have them drowned out with everything else. Try and get a different cabinet and give it something of a museum display look. Space them out, maybe display them with the final release version, and even get some nice printed tags to give some info.
Maybe try to balance out the colors by doing sort of a gradient thing? like, group them all by colors on each shelf. Then with the shelves with two factions, have it so that it fits in a pattern.

Maybe add some small print-outs of concept art, too, like this Megatron piece. Love the figures, hate the display. I'm not really a fan of that cabinet. Looks like something my grandma has. Also, try to make the poses a little more dynamic. Use risers and Tamashii stands. Finally, display some in alt mode for variety.
I use acrylic risers and Tamashii/flight pose stands and it's made a huge difference.

What do you mean locking tabs for combiner mode? The hip ratchets stabilize when you've fixed them.
The shoulders on mine are hard enough, and they have a tab under the blue foot thing to lock into the red shoulder.
You need to shave plastic on the foot so it flexes down enough.

The ratchets are actually really fucking easy to fix. I'm actually okay with the lack of a few locking tabs because it gives his shoulders some butterfly joints and doesn't actually look unnatural. A little floor polish makes them actually sturdy too so it's added articulation for no real cost.

I always liked the double Headmaster gimmick for him which is probably why I'm actually going to buy him despite the fact that he's pretty barebones with no weapon or the hip guns of the original.
Hopefully, the leaked sheet with the 179.99 MSRP is accurate considering the price that guy bought it at was like $260. Takara's release goes for about $200+ but it has the Master Sword and a smaller version for Fortress. Though, given how big he is, the shipping will probably pretty expensive.

When he mentioned the cerebros shoulder coming out I actually assumed it was the balljoint in the forarms but no its the upper arm into the shoulder assembly, which is annoying but kinda fits the fact he's just a giant kids toy.
Because you can just shove that shit back in easily, that said sounds like its TOO easy to do it.

If you badly want him I'd reccomend waiting for whatever one first gets a price cut, there will be 3p swords coming, and unless the SDCC is 65% chromed it won't be worth the scratch marks

It really shouldn't be that hard, just make pic related and give it articulation and ability to become a base and a already half assed weapons platform. But, instead, he'll probably be made with the pulling of double duty in mind as scorponock so he won't look like much of anything.. Sucks.
