So, many of us are still waiting for our figures to come in but the scalpers have already popped up. I'm considering buying some since I'm impatient.

So what supporting props and gear do you guys have? Plan on taking your Mythic Legions out for a stroll or just pinning them to the wall? Whatever it is, share some pics! Those of us who haven't gotten ours yet definitely want to see them in action!

If anyone has Gothitropolis or 7th Kingdom figures, comparison pictures would be appreciated!

Last pic for figure build. Apparently boild and pop works like a charm and someone on the official forums made a breakdown pic for people working on potential MOCs.
>>
Got mine in last week. I had forgotten there were so many damn figures in the all-in.

Now I eagerly await the trolls and the rest of 1.5.
>>
>>5673371
Is there more pictures of that Bothar with the war hammer ? It's more or less what I intend to do when my set arrives.
>>
I got the kickstarter dwarf through ebay since I didn't back. These figures are nice, just wish they had double-jointed elbows like their birds.

Waiting for my summer all in package and about 20 figures from the sale.

Poxxus and Necrominus are both dark gods in this world, along side Arethyer and Eathyron. There could still be other gods that they haven't mentioned by name as there are some factions we don't have much info on.

>>5673371
>scalpers have already popped up

I'd hesitate to call em scalpers, a lot of people probably bought into the line for sole reason of reselling them. They're a rare but high quality figures for a genre that sees very little love in toy form. These things are a gold mine to smaller shops who can charge top dollar to people not in the know.

Scalpers are more about cleaning off the shelves before other collectors or fans. Guys selling these figures now are the ones who backed for multiple all-ins.

>>5673382
Revol skeletons are TINY compared to these beasts, but they're okay for filling out the ranks of your undead, even if they just hang out in the background.

>>5673556
The limited arm articulation is my only real gripe about the figures. Between the barrel chests, limited elbows and in-out hinged wrists, it limits them from having some great sword holding stances. Hopefully it's something that's addressed in wave 2.
>>
>>5673739
To be fair, it's still scalping as most figures are 2-3x their retail price. That said, it's not "unjustified" given the facts you stated.

Personally, I will still buy them. Just like all other 4H figures, they see massive markups in the after market. That said, it still sucks.
>>
Anyone whose gotten their orders so far feel free to post pics of your hauls, it'd be great to see what everyone got and how these things are in hand.
>>
>>5674065

a lot of the people on this board are waiting for the new preorders so only the backers have them right now. Still, I'd like to see what everyone got.
>>
so it has shipped for backers? or some?
>>
>>5674099

>>

>>5674142
While it sucks to have to wait, it makes sense business wise to take care of the backers who spent the most on your product first. But I find that, now that we're so close, the longer we wait the more I want to add to my order. I feel once I actually get my figures in, I'll finally realize just how much I bought and the urge to get more will (hopefully) die down. But with the figures still up in the shop, and other people getting em in hand and showing off pics, I'm tempted to just keep buying more. Hell, the more I think about it the more the All-in makes sense as a good investment, because if I already had em all I wouldn't be paying increased prices and extra shipping for more and I'd have plenty I'd be willing to sell back for a profit.

But at the time, I didn't have and extra grand layin about to throw at toys that won't come out for another year or two.

>>5674197
The ease of disassembly is the only saving grace for me in their choice of elbow joint. A swivel/peg elbow is easy to swap and mix and match. If it were double jointed, the entire arm from the bicep to the gauntlet would be far more difficult, if not impossible, to swap about.

Still doesn't excuse the choice of wrists though.

>>

To make it really easy, what you can do is just pull apart the waist and torso to slide the belt on. Much easier and these guys are durable so you can't hamhands them.
>>

Those figures specifically...it's a long shot. Going forward they said they wanted to stick with the ML figures as their main line, and part of that means they'll be sticking to same build structure to allow for easy cross part usage. We may see figures that are nods to these, but I doubt we'll actually see this exact toy get made any time soon.

>>5674866
It's very true, pic related is a preview of a slim/female armored leg that will be used in the next full wave of figures.

>>5674952
>>5675030

The strap is mainly designed to fit over the chest, but it can also fit (very loosely) around the waist. The figures themselves are made to be pulled apart, especially at the head and waist, as the collar and belt pieces are swappable. In fact you don't even need to remove the head from the ball joint to fit the strap over the shoulder, the neck itself can pop right off the torso.
>>
>>5675232
>The strap is mainly designed to fit over the chest
Thanks for the tip, I thought it felt kinda loose on his waist. Can't wait for those weapon packs to get here.
>>

So ghost skeleton space knight when?
>>
So I heard on the previous thread that there was going to be a sale sometime in June. Anybody have any idea about that? I didnt order anything on the last sale because I only really wanted the standard skelly and the silver knight.
>>
>>5673401
I'd buy this
>>
From wanting to get 3 army builders, to when they were no longer available, getting 6 figures and 2 weapons packs. Ugh. They seem like pretty good figures so I hope they don't disappoint. I'm happy with the group I got, and I wouldn't want any other, other than Gideon, that are now sold out or still up. So if he's ever available again I'll grab him

What I got, just for fun:
Attlus, Attila, Otho, Thord, Zahzar, Gorgo, and Weapons pack 1 and 3. Gorgo and WP3 were a second order I went with cause idk, he was originally the one I liked most next to Attlus so I'm pleased to get him.
>>
i preordered a Screamin Eagle what seems to be a year ago already.

Any news of when they come out? should i send them an email?
>>
>>5676767
The second run of birds haven't been released yet. They haven't really spoken about them in a while. I do wonder what the status of them is.
>>
>>5676796

I checked my bank account and it's about to hit 7 months. I shot them a friendly email, i'll report back here when/if they respond.
>>
>>5676745
I ended up with 8 skeletons, 3 paladins, 4 barbarians and 1 vampire along with 7 weapon packs. I'd like to say I'm done, but I'm not.

I hope they don't suck. At least their resale should be solid.
>>
>>5676870
Solid order. Most things are sold out now what else do you have in mind? Or do you mean for series 2, cause though I'm mostly done with 1 I'm definitely interested in more.
>>

>>5677225
if they were 1/18 scale as intended would they be glyos compatible? the part swapping its the same as glyos and 4H's use of the glyos joint but larger seems lazy because there are no double knee joints now like the glorious birdmen have
>>
>>5677237
That's a question for an alternate timeline. I would go with no, as they seem like they want to create their own universe. Nothing from their figures is compatible with anything from other comparable figure lines. Compared to the articulated icons' ninjas and the rest who have heads that should be compatible with most ML (legends) figures. Versatility is good, but in this case this is theirs and I doubt they would have been glyos compatible even if they were smaller.

And the joints are modular because they want people to be able to mix and match parts. I have no particular need to do so but cool for those who want to. Having double joints that do that adds to the complexity and they probably figured it wasn't worth the potential breakage issues and what not.

>>
>>5677259
Not them, but interesting. I wonder how the line would have been as a 4 inch line. I'm not particularly interested in anything glyos yet but nothing wrong with modular designs. I would probably be interested if they were to make some action figures rather then the little guys in a larger scale.
>>
>taking subject tranny seriously
>>
This thread is starting to get weird. Anyone have pics to show off their figures?
>>
>>5677199
I need to pick up some orcs mostly, I'll end up having to pay premium for them since I couldn't get them during the Monday sale.
>>
>>5677283
Yea, at some point they had said something about Glyos compatability. Then they changed to a larger scale and there are some people who can't let it go.

They don't support the line, they don't buy anything, they just bitch. Ignore them.
>>
>>5677336
The earliest mythic legions prototype used glyos, but that was just cobbled together garbage. As most orotos are. Their instagram has it posted.

Don't care for glyos and don't want compatibility for something I don't buy. But thats just me.
>>
>>5677295
I would assume a reissue of some of the popular characters will be a thing eventually, though I'm not sure if that would include the orcs. But if you intend to buy some of the orc army builder wait just a bit because they're already doing a reissue for them.

12 Bothar
15 Attila
19 Attlus
38 Malleus
39 Blood Knight

If you want any of these guys I'd grab them soon. Don't regret it! Attlus and Attila for badass brother duo with unique head sculpts. Not to mention they're both faction leaders, if you care about that.
>>
>>5677380
Blood Knight looks a little disappointing, red is more faded and the black wash isn't as good as the prototype.
>>
>>5677704
I blame the fan votes.
The figure just ended up being Gorgo with different horns, crotchplate, and slathered in red.
Really lazy shit.
I probably wouldn't have ordered him if not for the vampire flavor text.
>>
>>5677735
Gorgo with a way worse paintjob. I don't think his two tones is worth the same as some of the other intricately painted figures.
>>
Honest question, just received some of these. What's the way to attach a shield to someone's arm? Do you just ruin the soft plastic by forcing it on the wrist or is there some way?
>>
>>5677761
Some people mentioned removing the hands so you can slide the shield bit on the wrist. The hands pop out by design so it's ok to do that.
>>
>>5677800

I asked because it's naturally damages the sculpt by design. Not something you'll notice, but it's a little scary.
>>
>>5677691
Attila down to only 10. Attlus at 17.
>>
>>5677511
No, that's the definition of resale. You think Hasbro just gives toys to Wal-Mart and TRU? They buy the figures from the manufacturers then sell them to you at Increased prices. A scalper is someone who buys from retail making it so others can't buy from retail.

There is no scalping here, just absurdly priced figures.

>>5677761
The figures are sturdy enough that the shield shouldn't cause any damage, but I understand the dislike for the clip style shield grips. Simple L shaped handles would be far better for these figures imo, would still allow the shields to rotate but wouldn't risk any damage to the figure's wrist. It would also allow the. To hold the shield closer to their body which looks much better then when they're just kind of floating against their arm.
>>
>>5677853
That's wholesale for resale. This is retail for scalping. BBTS is getting in on it too now.

Honestly I don't even really care, so you can cool your jets and keep posting your stuff on eBay for $79.99. It does not affront me none.
>>
Bbts have stock, they're a bit marked up. But still cheaper than eBay prices. I got a few of the orcs I missed out on.

>>
>>5677932
I've got the templar in 1.5 with bothar and owain from last week, so it's not that bad, I just didn't realized I liked the design of the character until well after it was sold out, since there wasn't that many pictures of him. But thanks for the concern bro.
>>
>>5677880
The pearlescent look look of Ignatius is really cool, but I'm surprised he's so popular. Maybe his numbers were lower then everyone was surprised at how nice the final product looked and tried to jump on it. I like to keep certain figures unique, and since he and Gorgo share a helmet he's a no go for me, since I assume Gorgo is ultimately the more important of the two.

Hopefully all the characters see a re-release. Unlike their other lines, these are neither meant to be limited run figures nor are the molds for them in jeopardy of being lost/stolen/damaged. These guys are supposed to be their corner stone toyline, one that the majority of their figures will be included in. If there's still a demand for characters, it makes no sense to not make them. Worst case is a couple linger about for a few months, but a simple clearance sale wouldnget rid of any excess stock.

With the way these guys are designed, even if younget one you're not super fond of, it wouldn't be too difficult to turn it into an all new character just through part swapping.

Stock update. Bothar is now sold out.

Attila 5
Attlus 9
Blood Knight 20
Malleus 28
>>
could someone post the two heads for tibius they have in-hand?
>>
>>5681769
They said they would have to make an adapter tonget the wings to fit since the pegs are different sizes. Most likely the wing adapter (if it ever gets made) will fit into the square peg so you can have a character with pauldrons and wings at the same time.

It could also see use for things like backpacks, quivers, possible tail pieces etc. would have been nice if the shield clips could fit in there as well, but that's sadly not the case.

Any educated guesses om when preorders ship? I got Godfrey and Unkann

>>
>>5682236
in the next 2 weeks maybe? all-in was just wrapping up yesterday and then they start with large non-all-in ks orders next followed by pre-orders round 1 and then pre-orders round 2
>>
>>5682236
Mid to late June is my guess.
>>
>>5682236
They released an update on the KS giving us a basic idea of how things will be shipped out and why there was an initial delay.

Essentially, All-In Kickstarter orders go out first. Those are the ones currently arriving at people's door and being sold on Ebay and BBTS. Bigger orders take priority so those who bought the most get em first.

Then the rest of the KS orders start shipping, with the same priority on larger orders. If you only pledged for a single figure during the KS, then you'll be one of the last to get em.

After ALL the Kickstarter figures are moved, the All-Ins from the *first* pre-order get shipped. This was the pre-order that opened up after the KS closed. And again, once all the All-Ins from that are sent out, the smaller orders will follow.

THEN they'll start moving figures sold during *this* pre-order, largest orders to smallest. Basically meaning, if you only bought a single figure from the current sale, you shouldn't expect any figures for at least 1-2 months.

The Wave 1.5 Guys (Godfrey/Unkann, the Trolls and the Wave 2 Birds are currently in production and are set to arrive sometime in June. Though that's a very optimistic estimate all things considered. But they want the 1.5 guys (specifically the Orc) ready for Power Con, so they may get rushed over.

They also say that they'll have restocks of some of the figures this June, so it's still possible the Wave 1.5 guys will be ready by then. But I can't see those figures seeing general release until at least July.

Long story short, strap in for a long ride cause this is the Summer of the Horsemen.

Another annoying issue he has is that the shield clamp doesn't fit his wrist. I already dented the sculpt a tiny bit by trying it on the first time. The shield clamp is made of the most rigid brittle plastic while the gauntlet is made of soft plastic. The way I put the shield now is by having him hold it sideways and let the shield flop around
>>
>>5685775
Worth the 50 bones? He looks really good
>>
>>5685841
I'd say so if he's the only one you're getting. He's basically a painted version of Silver Knight. I have no interest in other characters nor the lore of this particular line and just want a generic steel knight figure, so he's the one to get for sure. Other knights had a non generic gimmick, so say if you want a paladin rather than a generic knight get Ignatius.

If you're planning to get him then all the other characters in the line, I'm not sure if each of them worth 50 dolarydoos. As you know recycled sculpts wear out their novelty really fast

Ah I see. I guess you kind of half to just half it on there. Maybe it`ll stay that way without damaging the plastic.
>>
>>5685889
I've seen people pop the hands off, and put the clip in before sliding the hand peg back on.
>>
>>5685926
You don't even have to pop the hands off. You can slide the clamp when the hand is in horizontal position. Still doesn't change the fact that the rigid rivet still bites onto the soft gauntlet piece and create a permanent dent/scuff mark.

This is not that big of a deal though, I'm personally not that autistic. Just a warning for other knights maybe with shinier paint that it might be bad

I'm feeling less bad about "splurging" $250 US which came out to $320 Canadian.

I decided not to get extras to "scalp" because I thought with so many figures that were similar the market price wouldn't go up very high. I wonder if I'll turn out to be wrong on that.

I'm really psyched to get the weapon packs on them. That hammer looks so sexy.
I added Carpathias/Orlok, Attlus, Urkku, Bothar Shadowhorn, Malleus, and the blood knight. I already had Jorund Runeshaper (battle-mage dwarf!), the KS exclusive dwarf, Zazhar demon, and the barbarian builder set.

Owain anon here, not to shit on the line but I personally think that the lack of paint on silver knight is kind of underwhelming compared to other named characters. That blank gold shield looks pretty cheap/ugly that's why I picked Owain over Silver Knight. I understand that he's supposed to be cheap army builder, but at least some drybrushing and weathering with $5 extra price would go a long way.

Yes you can mix and match, but all the weathered armors are on the "evil" side, with that full armored Orc having the most complete armor set but even then you're still missing a matching helmet unless you make a custom

For those who already have some figures in-hand : does every character with an axe come with two blade pieces to make a dual bladed axe ? I can't seem to find the info. For example, on the prototype, Bothar Shadowhorn has a complete axe but on the finished product, I only see pictures of a single bladed axe.

You can go through the listed weapons for each character, BBTS posted them up with each character. Each one I saw with an axe were listed as coming with 2 blades as well as the part to make it single bladed.

Every axe set comes with both blades, both pommels and the spike point. Essentially anyone with an axe can have that Axe be single or dual bladed.

I really hate the orc builder. I wanted a bare-chested one. This one just seems "less" Orcy. I also wanted a bare head but that general orc somehow looks less fierce. I'm pretty sure his fangs and ears are shorter, even if I decided to swap heads, assuming the skin tone matched.

I was tempted to get a builder skeleton and paint it red instead of getting the red one.
The builder dwarf didn't have the beard that Bothar Shadowhorn had so I had to get Bothar, and I wanted the bearded head on the barbarian builder so I couldn't spare that.

Just none of the cheap builder figures were good enough for me.

Stuck paint joints was actually common with the birds when they shipped iirc, so that's not really a defect, if anything you got an early test run version as even the ML figures were packed in Eagalus's boxes when they first showed up in package. It's most likely authentic, but probably one that didn't leave the factory under "legal" means.

>>5689744
I kind of agree...to a point. The legion builders did what they set out to do, be simple, nondescript versions of the figures to fill out armies with. But they still could've done some thing to make them more interesting on their own, and some of them could've really benefited from some different color schemes. Also, they should've had alternate heads, the knights with the bucket and shell head, the dwarves with armored and half-helm beard heads and the skeletons with bare and hooded skull heads.

Also, for poops and giggles, I decided to arrange the characters in an image by faction and I was honestly surprised to find how balanced the "Good" and "Evil" sides were. I did group the legion builders into specific factions that I felt they work best with, but even without them the sides are pretty well matched. I'm still sad I couldn't go all in, especially now that I see how well they'd look grouped with their proper factions.
>>

>>
>>5689812
>stuck paint joints
>not really a defect

It is actually a defect, just because it's a common QC issue doesn't mean that it's not. Unless they designed it that way, which I hope they didn't.
>>
>>5689982

You're a moron if you think that's a 'defect'. That is not a defect, by any definition.
>>
>>5689986

The birds are supposedly coming in June around the same time as the 1.5 Legion figures.

>>5692794
All the different factions kind of have different goals and motives, so it's a bit more involved then simple "bad guys attack good guys". There's still a lot of details missing, and we really only got short bios of the five evil factions on top of the individual character bios to work with.

The good guys:
The Order of Eathyron is kind of like a religious order pledged to protect the world from evil. However at one point it lost it's prominence for some unknown reason and is only now regaining the respect of the people due to the leadership of Gideon and his loyal knights.

The Army of Leodysseus is more the army of the state, and the current leader, Attila, stepped up when his brother, Atlus, left the army for some reason and was then banished from the country. While out on his own, Attlus formed his own group of warriors with the help of his friend and ally Thord.

Xylonia's Flock are citizens of an isolated mountain forest kingdom, Asterion is the captain of the guard for the forest maze that protects it's borders and Orn is a prince from one of the larger towns. They're just kind of...there...and don't seem to really be involved.

And Jorund is just a rare Dwarven Wizard who goes about doing wizardy dwarf things.

As for the Villains:
Gorgo is a mysterious evil knight working to unleash his dark lord Arethyr. Urzokk and Thord, as well as their respective clans, are allied with and under Gorgo due to his promises of riches, power and the chance to wreck stuff up. Essentially, they're just a marauding horde.

The Skeletons are all followers of the dark god Necrominus, with their leader being his last remaining "son". They're essentially undead religious fanatics who want THEIR god to come back and wreck stuff up. (Personally, I think the goblin would be better suited with the Legion of Arethyr)

...cont
>>
>>5693466

The Circle of Poxxus is actually a coven of evil magic users of all different types who worship the evil god Poxxus. These guys also want their god to be A #1! The two demons we got so far are actually two halves of a once powerful demon king that was split in half by Poxxus himself when he was dragged into the main reality of the whole story.

The Brood is just a bunch of Vampires. Fancy, hungry, evil Vampires. The purple one is a vampire noble and the other one was a Vamp who liked beating stuff up so much he had a magical suit of armor made so he could beat things up even more. However the armor was cursed and slowly ate the vamp as he ate the people he beat up until all that was left was an empty suit of evil armor that eats people. Essentially he's a vampiric dullahan.

And Skapular is all out on his own because he basically wanted nothing to do with any of the gods or armies or crap like that and just wanted to be rich. So he started his own band of mercenaries and just tears stuff up and rakes in the cash.

Again, a bit more then just "Good v Evil" as a lot of the factions on the same side of the fence can easily end up fighting each other. I'm sure when wave 2 comes about we'll get more characters for each group, and when the Art book actually ships we'll get more of the story fleshed out.

>>5692932
Hopefully, some of em sound pretty cool. And seeing how the majority of the evil factions are all fighting to bring their god to the real world, it would be cool to see what they actually looked like.

Playing with this guys is making me REALLY tempted to fuck myself financially and buy a bunch of others.
I hate having bills and responsibilities.
>>
>>5693479
I *really* wanted to go all-in+ but at the time I couldn't even afford it (had to buy a damn ring instead lol). But these guys were made to compliment each other. Even though a majority of them literally have the same parts, their colors and head sculpts give them so much personality it's hard to be bothered by it.
>>
>>5693781
Some look unique enough due to their heads and what not, but I wasn't inclined to get nearly all the characters because I want them to look unique. Paint work can only differentiate something so much, especially if identical heads are used.
>>
>>5693813
Yeah. I just want to get one knight, one skellington, Asterionn, and MAYBE an orc. In addition to the barbarian I've already got.
Also wish Otho had a helmeted alt head.
>>
>>5689812
Hm. The skeletons and knights are pretty good though.
I just wish between the two dwarves that one of them had a beard. I'd prefer Bothar's style over Thord's, even though Bothar's is on 3 figures already {the KS exclusive, and one of the barbarian builder's}

>>5693320
>>5693348
Staaaarting to regret not getting more variety of knights. At least Sir Ignatius, even though I got the same mold as the Blood Knight.
and wishing I got at least a couple plain skeletons, at least one to keep plain and one to repaint red for that invincible skeleton style. Was that CastleVania or Prince of Persia? CV, I think.
Ah well. I got so much. Attlus + barbarian builder + Bothar are going to be a bounty of buff beards, with Jorund the battlemage to back them up with more beard.

Warduke's an old AD&D character
he had a toy way back when and appeared in old modules, even serving as the Big Bad of the unofficial game Rise of the Warduke
He's a pretty cool character that has a sort of Boba Fett appeal to him, I guess.
>>
Shit, forgot about these till they popped up on the BBTS main page.

Need me a skeleton.

Not the same anon, but I do have him.

I agree with this anon, I posted all the pics but none of them are mine. I'm still waiting.

Tibius. I really hated how they did the cloaks for these figures, so here is without it.

He comes with a special skirt piece that lets you sheathe two weapons. All of the weapons in this pic are his, except for the twohanded sword.

Another thing - Skeletons are the only figures in this line that can twohand the swords but this is about the best posing you're gonna get with the sword. They weren't made to do this, honestly.

Gideon. He comes with an extra bucket helmet but goddamn his helmet and face sculpt is immaculate. The flip down visor makes him truthfully unique.
>>
>>5695125
I'm really hoping for more accessible helmets.
With luck wave 2 might have something with the Gothic Knight look. Always did like their style.

So I got Ignatius from BBTS and he had a mold mark on his helmet. BBTS refused to take responsibility, saying that they studied other figure that they have and the mold mark is common. I know they're sold out on Ignatius, are they just bullshitting me? I know it is futile to call them on their bullshit, but I can't stand someone just lie straight through their teeth
>>
>>5695290
are you serious with the mold mark ? I can understand not liking what BBTS said but come on, you cannot consider this a big enough problem, right ?
>>
>>5695292
I'm talking about the hole on his head, not the mold lines. it is a gnarly looking recess and looks like he had been shot with a sniper rifle
>>
>>5695316
just pretend it's battle damage from fighting
>>
>>5695290

it's a sprue mark

don't make such a big deal out of it

It's a toy.
>>
>>5695290
>refused to take responsibilty

Weird, I got a figure from them and it was messed up and they completely refunded me. Had to return the figure obviously but eh
>>
>>5695125
Wait, why do you have the visor upside down ?
