why fot the sake of god every dinosaur has this kind of ":O" mouth?
My parents bought me this one back in 1995 i think and it has exact same mouth.
And i see this kind of ":O" mouth dino everywhere.

I had a bunch of Chinese toy dinos when I was a kid. A lot of them were KO kaijus.

Dude i have exact same thing too.

I wonder what the hell is this dino-like with round screaming throats. When i was a kid i used to stick pencils in those throats or tails or other dinos.

How long you had those? Im pretty sure i got these around 1995. And im from russia.
>>
>>5630034
and by exact i mean everything. from mold to color spot.
But seeing your stegosaurus that exact same as mine...its some line they were using for so many years.

This is like Meme Dinosaur: The Toy.
I have more - will post after some sleep.
>>
>>5629893
these are cool.
If those are meme dinosaurs.
Then yours are "Abstract Kind of Meme Dinosaurs"
>>
I have a bunch of dollarstore dinos. They live in my old-school MotU bin. I cannot resist an Imperial dino from the 80s.
>>
>>5630043
p-post photos?
>>
>>5630034
It the way they were molded. I think its called rotoscoping. They spin the molds to make it hallow
>>
>>5628480
figuarts when?
>>
>>5630044
I'll dump the bin for your amusement later.
>>
>>5630034
Mine are all from around 1993-1998 but I'm pretty sure these molds have been around since at least the '70s.
>>
>>5630062
Rotoscoping is an animation style, but you're right in that these things were made by spin casting them.

Also, monitoring this thread, I can't wait for more pic dumps.
>>
>>5630244
Yep, rotocasting. He was close.
>>
>>5628480
holy shit i had one of these and only remembered about it after seeing that pic

also had one of these
>>5629893

wow talk about nostalgia
>>
>>5630874
I had that Bullette, but it was grey and dark blue.
They also used that not only as the model for a Bullette in the original D&D, one of the early miniatures companies used one to make molds for a lead figure.
I can't remember what Ultra Show he's from, but I have seen it before.
>>
>>5629511
That Allosaurus mold is still used today. I have it in a couple of colors, neither of them the deco seen there.

We didn't have Papo or Schleich back in my day, but even if we had I'm pretty sure I would have still asked for the Chinese ones because they would be cheaper and therefore I would have less chance of being said 'no' to. I'm told the ones I have today are ones I picked out when I was younger, so I'm guessing that's the reason for it.
>>

>I'm pretty sure I would have still asked for the Chinese ones because they would be cheaper and therefore I would have less chance of being said 'no' to.
I actually loved and still love chinese ones.
They just so weird in a cool-weird way. Like some weird monster toys.
Having just a bunch of feathered Papo dinosaurs is boring. Give me some chinese monsters too.

not to mention that Papo can get boring as shit. It's ok to have few dinos that are your favorites but having too much of them makes it dull.
It's like watching Michael Bay' transformers or seeing those 2010-2012 games where every game was super realistic with only 2 colors - 1) grey 2) brown, and everything looked dull.

(The ones in this article were made in plastic format as well. I had an owl-bear.)

>>
>>5630948
Don't get me wrong, the Chinese ones are cool and I had a lot of fun with them over the years. I still have them today, but they're in a cupboard behind a box of Transformers at the moment.

I do have a certain amount of nostalgia for old dinosaur stuff from before scientists made all their breakthroughs, at least some of which can probably be attributed to those toys.

Papo is good only when you like generic/popular dinos like T-rex or Raptors.
Pteranodon is my favorite and i really don't like their Ptero. Stupid looking torso + FUCKING TEETH.

Pteranodon.

How shitty papo can be to actually add teeth on something that called "toothless"?

Apparently, possibly even longer. Some of the monsters from Dungeons and Dragons are based on these figures.

GUY GUUUYS.

I had a thought... Why there is NO community of chinasaurs collectors? Is there anything like that?
I mean in our current year full of hipsters collecting whimsical and weird toys there MUST BE A COMMUNITY for collecting weird dinosaur toys.

They have their charm. And sometimes you can find really interesting figure!
