My experience is that they will look less busy once they are all one color. It's pretty much all scribing and styrene plate of different sizes and thicknesses, the real trick is how you measure it. I have to use digital calipers for everything because otherwise it looks like ass. Then I put it down on graph paper, with an exact center line, cut it out and fold it in half, then cut the edges so the halves are exactly identical, then I use that as a template for the styrene.
I can tell you that the MG origin shield lower half face of the red section is 30.68mm wide at the top, 24.24mm at the bottom, and 55.09mm long for example.

One of the xcgmc guys nearly trampled a child and cursed out their dad cause he got angry when an accident at anime expo led to his model getting wrecked from a shelf collapse at the bluefin booth.
I remember last year there was drama cause they did the scgmc event, then like the next week they said "oops we announced the wrong winners these are the actual winners" after giving out prizes and everything, and never told any of the people ahead of time of their post about the screwup, culminating in them telling some guy who was one of those people to stop fucking crying and being such a bitch when he told them they should make an effort to let people know about it.
There's always drama about SCGMC, particularly in how the guys who run the event also judge and compete in the event, and some years give themselves half the awards.
I laughed hard last year when the guy announcing the winners awarded himself first place in a category.

Painters, in regards to paint setup/primer setup how do you go about it? I've got a cardboard box filled with smaller sectioned off cardboard pieces, alligator clips holding parts slotted into the holes.
From there what's the right way to do things? I.e - one at a time, in rows, hold the alligator clip with your hand etc. I get that I should be done my horozontal passes and slowly build up the paint layer when airbrushing.
I'd be spraying primer with a rattlecan then painting with an airbrush. To my knowledge the guide doesn't mention this.

If you can get the clip on a skewer you won't get paint on your hand.
Do it one at a time, pick the skewer up and spray while constantly moving the airbrush and/or the part until everything is coloured. Lighter shades will probably not come out fully on the first coat so you'll need to do another when it has dried. Never hold the piece still or have the airbrush focused on one place for too long or else it'll ruin the coat. If the part looks very wet you've probably put too much paint on it.

It's not the Prototype Gundam. Has a different model number. Google translates it as a "Local-type Gundam" which to me implies perhaps it's used for city or colony defense? Going by the development tree (as well as its overall look and equipment), it's also something of a missing link between the Gundam and the Ground-type Gundam from 08th MS Team.

After my experiments with the wing kits, I may attempt the whole armor on the frame thing. My original plan was to simply replace the elbows for the maxter and probably reconfigure the whole rose and bolt set ups considering that everything below the shoulders can't move out.

there was a guide I found but it was only for earlier high grades with the polycap joint hiding piece, and from my experience, without altering the arm length simply putting the ballden double joints in there looks horrid, at least with all the wing kits I tried it with.
