Ultra-act Zero Renewal has the most effect parts, given that he was one of the pricier releases. Keep in mind that the flasher effect (with the Sluggers) are a first release bonus, and wouldn't be included if he ever got a reissue. And unfortunately, he's pretty pricey right now.
My favourite release would be Leo Renewal. Solid figure, great effect and accessories for him, especially the umbrella. He is also expensive on the aftermarket.

Me too, but with Dyna. That's the only Ultra-act (excluding some Kaijus) I want that I've yet to get.

Ultra Act was sort of hidden treasure line, with a lot of really great figures. Unfortunately they were never that popular, so you could get a lot of them fairly cheap. Now that the line is effectively dead and being redone as Figuarts, the older figures are rocking up in price.
Ultraman Belial is one of My favorite figures of all My collection despite being one of the very first Ultra Acts. I feel he holds up pretty well. Although I wouldn't say no to a renewal version.

Sure. And between Ultraman Max to Ultraman Ginga S Ultraman was barely scrapping by. They had to do the doll gimmick just to become popular again. And we haven't seen an Ultra Act of anything newer than Ginga, despite two popular shows after the low bar of Ginga.

2011 had 19 UA releases, only 3 of them were website exclusives. 2015-16 had 13 releases, all but the Figuarts crossover manga Ultraman were website exclusive. While not quit the hyperbole of being a dead line, it's still an indication that UA are not selling well in general and have to be online only expensive buys.

Belial's mantle is sexy, and he does have a scar over his eye that he got at the end of the first movie which is cool. Belial has since healed that scar though. In general, I decided with going with the original and picking up the vinyl Kaiser Belial for his mantle. The original also has articulated finger hands and effect parts for his staff.

We are talking about the Ultra-act line, not Ultraman as a whole. The West's reception of the Ultra-act line is irrelevant because it is not the main demographic of the line, that was the point.

Ginga S didn't do as well as Ginga in terms of sales, surprisingly. And Ultraman X isn't even a year old.

That's a given and something accepted long ago. Doesn't mean the line is canned and cannot continue via exclusives.
Hell, look at Pre-cure or Garo. Those releases are practically all exclusives, yet figures are still being made. And in the case of Garo, you have both the Figuarts and Makai Kadou line running, albeit slowly. Not to mention that, aside from Cosmos, the Ultra-act line has went through most of its selection that would sell decently.
I don't know what you're trying to prove as you seem to be moving the goalposts a bit, but the main point was that Ultra-act is not an unpopular line given all its total releases/reissues, like you've previously stated. Otherwise we wouldn't have been seeing constant reissues or several (albeit slow) releases a year.

No, because what started this entire discussion was you stating that the line was never that popular. I was arguing against that. The reason why the line has been sparse in releases and mainly exclusive is because Bandai has pretty much went through most of their possible releases, and why a lot of Ultra-acts are cheap is because they're either very unpopular to begin with, or they've been reissued a few times.

When I first got into UA, most listings on Mandarake were about 2000-3000 yen, I got pic related for 1500 yen. Now out of the 75 or so current listings on Mandarake, only about 12 or so are under 4000 yen. I got Alien Magma for 2500 yen, right now it's 5500 yen. The only really expensive one was Zoffy. Belial is also an example, he used to be 2000 yen, 4000 for Kaiser, and now he's 11000-14000 yen. UA used to be even cheaper to collect than KR Figuarts, but KR has been stable in most of the ones I've looked at whereas UA has gone up in price.

They've been going up well before TN2015 because they're older and had no reissues. Older figures (that have no alternatives and aren't completely pieces of shit, and still have some slight demand) will start to do that, yeah.
You are comparing an aftermarket from long ago to today's aftermarket, which doesn't make sense. For example, Belial hasn't been near ~2k on Mandarake since God knows when.

I got a set of Novus polishes today and actually managed to remove the scratch from my Eyecon Driver G, so thanks to the anon who steered me in the right direction.
I took the Driver apart to isolate the plastic lens though, and Jesus FUCK. I swear a madman designed this thing. There's like four layers of plastic shells and like 30 screws (some hidden behind strange spring mechanisms) that you have to get through just to reach the ones attaching the front cover. It's a god damn puzzle. Like, fuck. Could you make it any less convenient to maintenance this thing Bandai?

Probably not. Scuffs and cracks like that happen all the time with those display figures because they're shipped around from show to show. They're also usually painted different than the actual finished product.
Speaking of molded creases, I can't wait for Black's reissue. Damn glad I held off though. I was so close to just biting the bullet and paying aftermarket prices for him.

Black, RX, and Shadow Moon have "Renewals."
SHFSS (Kabuto, Hibiki, Kuuga, Agito, Decade) is slightly different. The line is remolds of old figures, yes, but they all use a specific system of joints and are intended to 1:1 emulate the proportions of Seiji Takaiwa (or whoever was Kuuga and Hibiki's suit actors) in the suit. Also Hibiki is the only one that isn't a new version of an old figure, but is still considered SHFSS because it uses the same process.

B Fighter suits are gorgeous.
I recently finished watching Zyuranger and loved it. It's hard to believe Power Rangers came from that, anyway I just ordered the new Legacy Dino Buckler and Guardian Beast Medal Set. Is anyone else getting picking them up? Also found some good deals for other things in the legacy line. The Megazord and Titanus are easy to get but the Dragonzord is ridiculous. Hopefully it'll get a reissue after the black & gold edition comes out. What are your guys thoughts on the Legacy line ? both BoJ and BoA.

ah man these legs. they were pretty interesting in concept but flawed in execution. joints arrived loose, which is fixable, but it's really awkward trying to find good poses with digitigrade legs. i don't think this piece will make for good displays.
if you were curious, the "thigh" piece is hollowed out so that the...1st foreleg section to compact inside it for more coiled up pouncing poses. the ... 2nd foreleg? can go almost straight but because the joints on mine are loose it won't stand.

i personally prefer the black emblems but i can see why other people don't like that look. i think something happened with the jelly emblem pieces, and they don't fit right in the chest. maybe they got slightly deformed in the heat.
closing out this semi-photo review, here's the take away. the base figure is great and gives off the impression of a fast, lightly armored recon unit, which is its purpose. the beast head and arms are excellent, but the beast legs don't quite accomplish what they set out to do. i have three other OOO's SICs, Sagozo, Shauta, and Tajadol (Lost Blaze). how does latoratah stack up?
i'm gonna put it second or third behind sagozo. the paint and sculpting look awesome and i'm really happy with my purchase. if you like the design i'd say pick one up.

SICs rarely ever get reissues, but that's because they don't need 'em. Problem is, Gatakiriba is an exclusive SIC. Unless they're willing to change the release a bit, they won't ever be reissuing him.
Why Gatakiriba is expensive, most likely because not enough people bought him to sell him off later or whatever. The previous releases (before Bandai went all exclusive) hit the sale bins, so people didn't expect the demand for Gatakiriba.

Not quite. Gatakiriba is tied with a few figures like Emperor Kiva and a golden Garo character, but SIC is bigger than that.
There are multiple character packs, like Hibiki and Showa Riders that outpace them. There are limited edition releases, like Amazing Mighty Kuuga. And there are huge Hero Saga pieces like the shocker lab table or creation king's throne.

Both. Kuuga is very popular and the figure is very solid.
Hibiki is almost perfect as well (only issues with him is that he lacks some potential accessories). He can be found below MSRP because, unlike Kuuga, he's from an unpopular series.

Really aside from the ring of Grongi text lining the bottom of the chest piece being its own separate piece the engineering is standard stuff and works really well. I don't know what else you would want from Kuuga in that form.

I don't think that forearm "swivel" is meant to be a point of articulation. That is just basically a design choice in which the arm brace is manufactured as a separate piece instead of sculpted into the arm.
Saves the braces from having grooves sculpted into them to make space for the elbow joint.

Nah, Rider SHFs will never be kill. The line has just slowed down, which given how poorly the Ghost line has managed to gain any traction (General releases taking almost a month and over in Specter's case to even come clost to having enough orders to close them), is probably a bad thing.
But, we do have some sort of event for Rider SHFs to look forward to next month, so hey, something positive at least.

We got the red/green hint and the most obvious answer to that one is Amazons, but you never know with Bandai. Could be Santa Damashii Ghost or some shit. I also expect either a new Shinkocchou Seihou or a date for Gattack/Diend/Daguba.
