I have most all of the 6 inch figs, including Kip Killigan. Paid a pretty penny for him back in like 2012.

Why did they never release collector's editions of the Commando Elite or Gorgonites? I mean at least Chip or Archer. Not one company. You'd think they'd be the perfect .. well, toys to make toys of. Lack of interest, I guess? I don't even collect 1/6 HT or Sideshow stuff but i'd buy some of the Small Soldiers if they made them

Because it was 1998. Just having decent likenesses were considered "collector's toys".Hell, not even decent.
As for now the movie is probably too forgotten to warrant pricy toys, but maybe the 90's nostalgia wave will come and NECA or 3Awill produce quality replicas of the props. Ironically you have $30 toys with more articulation than the movie stuff did now.

I always thought the Gorgonites were way cooler. Always loved monsters and thought soldier toys were boring as a kid. To this day I still can't remember the Commando Elite designs off the top of my head besides Tommy Lee Jones ' character and the mohawk guy.

Insaniac was my favorite design from these. I was super disappointed in the figures they released for the movie. You would think in a Toycentric movie, they'd have toys that at least had the same look and articulation as the ones int he movie.
