Absolutely love it. No complaints on my end, it's gorgeous in my display. Good luck, you never know!
Hint: I sold about 3 old figures and basically traded in the money for this, it's not so bad

This.

Venusaur and Blastoise are the only ones that look remotely good. Lucario and Blaziken are decent too, but Charizard and Mewtwo (and Pikachu) are completely butchered by the articulation breaking up the sculpts.

Not really how it goes in a marriage. I have a wife and kid to think about and it's hard to go against that. Spending $300 on figures is one thing, but spending $300 on one is something she can't get behind. It sucks though because I really want it, and the BAF doesn't look anywhere near as good.

This comic store in my area always has figure dioramas set up. One of them had a custom painted BAF Hulkbuster that looked pretty cool. Might be your best option.

That sounds pretty shitty, sorry to hear that. I'm assuming you work? Surely you keep some money you earn from work for yourself for personal items and you don't spend it ALL to support your family? I have a girlfriend and she's not exactly a massive follower of these sorts of movies and stuff (And neither am I to be honest, I like them but I'm not some massive Marvel fanatic) but even she admits some of those expensive figures look really awesome, and she wouldn't mind me spending a few hundred on one of them as long as it was a REALLY good one, like the Hulkbuster, or Thor, or pic related which is what I'm planning to save up and buy.
If anything, my girlfriend would probably prefer it if I spent $300 on one really good quality figure instead of spending $300 on numerous, cheaper figures.

Do you live together? My wife doesn't discourage my hobby, she's known all along that I buy stuff like this, it's just different now that we're married and living together with a baby. Our money goes into the same bank account and we just tend to talk over which bigger purchases are worth it/necessary, and I just can't argue in this case. I know it's too expensive, it's way more than I want to spend. If it was $150 or so I'd find it easier to pull the trigger and she wouldn't mind as much, but there's a lot you can do for your family with $300 I guess.

Gone are the days when I bought whatever I want, whenever I wanted. But even before we settled down together, I've always had a hard time justifying to myself why I should pay any more than $100 for a toy.

Votom.
>>
>>5561498
Damn it, I had hoped for something more along the line off "no, he's shit, be glad you don't have him".

200 sounds like a price I would be willing to spend on him. It's not even the money, I spend way more on my dolls and the like, it's just that I never wanted to spend so much money on a 1/6, not customizable figure.
Maybe one day I'm lucky and see him for a good price, I doubt I will be able to resist him forever.

>>5561868
I'd say the problem isn't the marriage but the fact he has a child. He has to care for another being, in such a case he can't just splurge 300$ on a toy for himself.
I'm a DINK myself, but good for him to stay responsible.
I worked in online game support for a while and we had fathers/husbands begging us to ban their accounts because they were spending hundreds and up to thousands of dollars a month in our game.
At least this guy has made his decision and sticks to it, good for him.
>>
>>5560617
I loved Fusion, but the proportions on this figure are just bizarre. Especially around the hips and lower torso.
>>
>>5562467
Why do you keep saying "not customizable?" Of course you can customize it, whether by buying aftermarket 3A parts, or by just modifying, creating, or sculpting parts on your own.

Also kinda puzzled by you calling this set "small" earlier. 1/6 is pretty big for most folks, and the horse itself is huge.
>>
>>5562472
Since he said "my dolls" I'm guessing he's a BJD guy.
>>
>>5562472
I collect BJDs, most of mine are 1/3...so 1/6 is small for me. Really small.
Biggest doll I own is 75cm long.
Fuck, I even own a horse for one of them.

And I get them blank and start from scratch, but with him the appeal is how he already looks like straight from the box.
I love him the way it is, no reason to change him, but I know myself.
I tend to get bored when they are already perfect the way they come to me.

I would rather spend $100 on 3 new figures I really want than 1 older figure whose price has shot up due to false scarcity, if that what you mean.

People who can't bring themselves to drop big money on a figure they really want when it's new (unless that money is needed for something else) are just inventing their own grails though.

Guys, I need your help. I really want this figure ( http://www.zmart.cl/scripts/prodView.asp?idProduct=48994 ) but I don't know if it worths the money. It's like 37 USD. I have some expensive figures, but they are big and detailed while this one is small. What do you think?
>>
>>5564204
FYI, the Roll Koto kit is a model, so you gotta put it together yourself. If you've never done that, check out the gunpla/plamo general, they have assloads of guides, and you can also get a cheapass gundam kit for practice on basic assembly.

http://dalong.net/review/kotobukiya/rm2/rm2_p.htm

The Megaman kits look pretty good with literally no detail work, but a topcoat might help a little. as I said, get some cheapass kits for practice on nub removal and applying the topcoats for the bare minimum.
>>
>>5564222
Thanks, but I knew that already, I even saw some reviews about it and how assembly it, it doesn't look hard. My question is if it's a good price for this model. Because:
1. this would be the first model I buy
2. that store is known for being unfairly expensive as fuck
>>
>>5564235
1. I'd still work on a cheapass kit beforehand and get a feel of the process so you don't risk screwing up Roll. Nubs aren't fun to work with at all.
2. Roll goes anywhere from 20-40 USD. I'd say 37 is "reasonable".
>>
>>5564237
Alright, I just bought it. Thanks.
>>
>>5564222
The Protoman kit was my first model kit ever and it was super fun and easy to build, Roll was my second and I enjoyed building her just as much.
>>5564244
Yeah you're gonna love it, it's super awesome. Just make sure you got some clippers to get rid of the little sprews. Maybe a pocket knife's little scissors could work too.

Ton of shit. Mostly stuff I could technically buy, but don't feel like paying the price for.
A whole lot of things that I remember seeing heavily discounted that shot up to double or more of the original price when the discounted shit ran dry.
It's really annoying because the stuff I do end up buying in those scenarios end up staying at bargain bin prices a lot longer than the stuff I don't.
