There's your problem, mate. Never go with EMS. Always gets snagged by Parcelforce.

The fuck is parcelforce?

I guess that's my fault for wanting to rush it, what are the better alternatives. This is my first time ever buying a figure honestly so I'm a new to this stuff. I heard SAL was the better option.

A britbong's worst nightmare.

If you choose EMS shipping, they confiscate your parcel once it reaches the UK and charge you £13.50 ($20) to deliver it.

It's UK, which also explains how EMS gets snagged in customs. In the land of the free, they just wave that shit on in my experience.

Choose SAL or R-SAL, it takes longer, but I haven't had a single parcel caught once, including items of up to 10,000 yen in value, even when they weren't marked as gifts or undervalued.

AmiAmi and Mandarake's SAL takes the piss sometimes, though I've never anything caught by customs yet so I guess I should be thankful.

I had two tamashii thunder effects shipped out from AmiAmi on February 4th, they didn't arrive until the 22nd.
And pic related is my figma Ninja Slayer, who shipped from Mandarake 3 days before my Satbatz from Jungle, yet somehow he hasn't made it to the UK in almost two weeks.
Hopefully they marked it as a gift like I asked.

AS shipped from Mandarake January 10... still no arrival...
Last update was New York sorting facility Feb 18.
Called USPS a week ago asking about it.. it went from sort facility to no longer tracking on USPS...
Japan post hasn't updated since the Feb date in new york.

When I called usps they said the last status they have it that it's in France.. -____-

Contacted Mandy last week, was told they'll contact japan post... to be continued.

Not postal service error but I once had an order suddenly switch the canceled two months after it was supposed to arrive

USPS waterlogged my package to hell and back then tossed it in a plastic bag for delivery. After some bickering, I was able to get them to file the paperwork for an investigation but they had to take my items back in case they got a call regarding the condition and actually tried to deliver them back to me just two days later.

They told me yesterday I could have my things back but made it sound like they never needed them in the first place so I have no idea what the hell is going on over there.

Happened a long time ago but once had a mailman deliver an EMS package in the lock box, which never happens because they need a signature, then took it back out the next day because an extra lockbox was needed.

It was effectively 'undelivered' without any kind of card or notice and took about a week to track down. Good thing since they technically stole it. That was a fun one.

I tried to pre-order figuarts pyramid heado from amazon as it when the pretty quick on amiami (at least the first wave/printing.) It said it would be released 5 months from the order date, so I waited.

When the the release date arrived I received no word whatsoever. 2 weeks after the fucking amazon page hadn't even been updated. Finally I had to physically call amazon only to find out the 3rd party importer hadn'tdone anything or even let amazon know what was going on.

Got my money back, but to this day I still believe the asshats just took the money with no intention of actually filling the orders.

Sal or Registered Sal if you want to wait for something to arrive but get it without paying vat+ import fees if it slips through unchecked.

Alternative for fast shipping would be Fedex- still get full tracking, you'd be more likely to be hit with charges then Sal but customs clearance is WAY quicker on average then EMS and they'll deliver it straight away and send you an invoice later. Have had quite a few things get through without charges as well.

They're shite m8.

Maybe I got a dud set, but the brown parts don't fit into the grips properly so it makes it really awkward to put them in a figures hands.

Also there's no way to put the straps into the holsters without cutting and gluing them.

Not quite. The prices on Amazon seem to be almost double what you'd pay on AmiAmi including shipping.

Those are SIC KT, aifferent (and now dead) toyline. They range from bad (eg. Garo) to pretty OK (like Kaixa, Den-O imagin set).
I recommend just buying the actual SICs, assuming they're not the older and fragile releases (unless you don't plan on touching them.) Many of them can be obtained for cheap, like the Den-O stuff.

Depends on which you're talking about. Regular SICs are a fair bit bigger than SHF but they're a mixed bag in terms of articulation and durability. The ones you'll have seen will be the Kiwami Damashii figures which are smaller scale figures with less accessories but much better articulation.

I personally love the regular SIC figures but their articulation is god awful, but the sculpt and paint work make up for it. Also they have a shit ton of die-cast parts which makes them pretty fucking heavy.

Paypal is a huge bitch to get set up, though
>finally get a goddamn job and some money earlier this month
>order some jap plastic crack to celebrate
>AmiAmi only takes PayPal
>try to setup Paypal, theit system wants me to submit 3 different documents to verify my ID
>right as I figure out what the fug they want I get an e-mail saying "your ID was confirmed :^)"
>then have to deal with verifying my bank account since their system rejected my debit card
>THEN have to weight over a week to get money transfers to clear since AmiAmi doesn't tell you the exact JPY/USD exchange rate until you go to pay and I underestimated
>finally got these damn toys paid for 1 day before due
>>
Bump for SAL still a shit

Lucky fuck. Mine probably won't come till Tuesday because of tomorrow's bank holiday. >>5572046
>>
>>5575331

Mine won't either, senpai. I know it's on the way to the Tyneside postal office, but Royal Mail doesn't deliver on Bank Holidays. I want muh Menace.

Still waiting for my dollhouse TV and Hasegawa meeting room set up, sadly. Then after that the longer wait for my Revo/LA Splurge begins,
>>
>>5572514
Paypal is a pain in the ass to set up, but after that you don't have to really think about it much. The money transfer thing is dumb and slow and unwieldy though, you should just set it up so Paypal automatically takes out the appropriate funds from your account when they're needed.

Both dispatched. Tracking numbers don't work yet. Probably not on the system yet as they shipped on friday

Will Parcelforce charge me for importing something that's £12?
>>
>>5577179
No, as long as your order is worth less than £15 (that includes shipping) they can't charge you jack shit.
>>
>>5577188

Thank fuck. Ordered a LA of AmiAmi's ebay shop, had EMS included in the price. I hear EMS can cause trouble, will that affect it even though it's under £15?

Nah you should be fine.

EMS in the UK is handled by Parcelforce (who are owned by the Royal Mail) by default, regardless of the value of your order.

Okabe figma from AmiAmi's pre-owned section. Decided to use SAL because EMS seemed a bit excessive for a low cost order.

What a mistake that was.
>>
>>5578602
I just ordered a Jotaro SAS a few days ago and the tracking thing hasn't updated from the "posting collection"

But I used SAL so maybe you and I both fucked up my friend
>>
>>5578602
>>5578625
EMS is almost guaranteed to get stung, at least with SAL your package has a chance of slipping through customs altogether.
>>
>>5578625
I knew SAL would take some time but not like this. Good thing is that it usually slips through customs. But it seems like we're fucked either way in the UK. Either get your stuff quicker and pay more fees or wait a few weeks and pay less.

Of course, it all depends. You could just get lucky in both cases.
>>
>>5578630
I'd rather wait a few weeks more and not have to pay £20+ customs tax and Jewforce fees on top of what I'm already paying for my plastic anime sluts.

I'm going through something strange, I live in commiefornia and had an order from mandarake arrive in los angeles only to be marked back the next day in the japanese shipping container it arrived in. Don't be in such a hurry for your toys senpai, be patient and enjoy your the ones you already have :^) You could've used that £20 towards another figma or something.
>>
>>5594042
True, but I've always been an impatient fuck wit. 1 week's fine but 2 is probably my limit.

A lot of my figmas and nendos I tend to buy from UK sellers to avoid international shipping bollocks. Japan's a last resort unless it's a new release or considerably cheaper.
>>
600$ item shipped with tracking + sign on delivery
all information correctly written and applied.

USPS in Philly somehow got it fucked up and sent the package back to Kentucky, saying my address doesn't exist.

>My house address is a goddamn private company and I ship things all the time.

Atleast the seller is sending a newer version with free gear.

How? Are you American or something?
Unless all of your shit has been under the value of £15, I don't believe you.

Parcelforce will jump at the chance to slap a fee on anything that comes their way.

Im in America and Ive been buying only 3,000 yen or more products from Mandy. Amiami is the only website that fucked me over and the only time I didn't pick EMS was on there
>>
>>5594219
>America
Your opinion is complete irrelevant in this case.

What exactly is it with Americans giving their matters on EMS when the context is clearly about Europe, or in Canada?
>>
So EMS just fucked me and returned a large package back to sender without a delivery attempt. Is there any way to contact them directly to stop this or am I fucked.
>>
Man you people are so fucking impatient with this stuff. You ordered a toy online, didn't have to drive anywhere, didn't have to even dress up to get the package. Hell just today I picked up a massive box full of figures sent from Japan. I'm in New Jersey. 12 hours before I signed for it, they where in Indianapolis. On Wednesday, just a few hours before, they started in Japan in the morning, made it to Alaska by lunch time, and even had a quick stop in Korea. In 3 days this package travelled more than I have in my whole life. And I ordered part of it on my phone. We are so spoiled by the conveniences of modern life. I remember when I was a kid in the late 90's when internet shopping was still scary and my parents wouldn't bite, if I couldn't find a toy after searching for it for a long time, I just had to settle for not having it at all.
>>
>>5595134
When you pay $80 for 5-7 day shipping and they fail to deliver it in 20 I think you have the right to be mad. If the shipping was free like amazon 2 day then sure your argument has value but this is a paid service that a lot of these companies fail to do. The bullshit I've had to deal with dealing with these shipping companies gives me a damn right to be angry. When you pay for a service you expect that service to be fulfilled and a lot of delivery companies fail to meet expectations.
