New page from the Burst manga shows more on Victory Valkyrie's parts, looks like the driver is gonna be like R2F, the Disk looks pretty sick too. Still no idea how the whole "Dual Layers" thing works, though, not sure if the new layers actually separate into dual parts or if they've fixed the issues with the teeth wearing.

here's hoping dual layer Spriggan will actually be able to compete with anything, I really wanted Spriggan to be a good blade when it came out, it's still hilarious to me that it's the worst blade owned by the unbeatable Kai character of the main four, I guess he must be a real badass to win with such a bad Beyblade.

It's performance is way more average than I expected, even Defense can outlast it in stamina as long as the combo using Gyro is spun first in testing, so clearly no strong stamina advantage, even with a very small gap of time between launches, maybe if they're launched at the same time Gyro would have a minor advantage.

I guess it might have better balance than Survive at least, but barely.

It's not so much its performance that disappoints me, so much it's the fact that it doesn't have a gyroscope in it.
>>
>>5503496
Well I didn't really expect a gyro, but the fact that it seems to have a bit of a balance issue is pretty ironic. I still hope it's better than Survive, but I haven't used it myself yet, it's certainly not the bearing core/drive of Burst.

Definitely more interesting and unique than Burst Drivers prior that all bore close design to parts in MFB already, can't wait to see what it is, I'd really like to see them bring out really new ideas and experiment so it's not just the same as Metal Saga.

Just got my first Burst blade. Why does everything seem like such a huge downward turn? I mean, the new launcher is a sleek motherfucker, but your tops explode and and to be reassembled after every fight? It makes them no match for any prior release.
>>
>>5532153
Not to mention you have to reassemble them after every fight.
>>
>>5532153
Because you're comparing them to previous releases, you gotta consider that they're in their own league, they're not designed to be a match for any MFB blade, and I think that's what holds people back from enjoying them for what they are. Personally I'm still not sure what to think of the burst gimmick, I've got four Burst blades and a b-09 stadium, they're really fun but at the same time I kinda wish they didn't shatter, or at least not as frequently, I can imagine it taking some of the fun out of more rugged play, whereas with plastics and MFB you could fight anywhere or even shoot them at solid objects and it's unlikely they'd ever break.

I'd just say to take them for what they are, they're still fun, and most of the time I'd rather see a toy company experiment rather than rehash old ideas, the added chance of bursting can be kinda annoying but it changes the game a lot and brings back the usage of active defense.

After discovering my first Valkyrie was a Bootleg and getting a LEGIT Valkyrie to replace it, the gimmick suddenly makes total fucking sense.

This is an attempt to shed bootleggers.

The softer, inferior materials of the bootleg cannot hold together even a fraction as well as the legit ones. Even with a three-second handicap, the bootleg will explode into chunks while the legit one MIGHT take one click of damage. If the handicap is flipped, the bootleg explodes INSTANTLY upon contact.

Bootleggers would actually have to use quality materials to even be marginally competitive with the legit ones.

It just now occurred to me that Burst beys are three layers. Does that mean the top layer (the energy ring I think it's called?) is designed to be more influential than on a 4-layer metal blade?
>>
>>5551664
Burst beys are(currently) divided into three pieces

>Layer
>Disk
>Driver

The new dual layer beys have a single layer that's comprised of two parts

>Over Layer
>Layer Core

While they're highlighted as two parts, they appear to not be interchangeable with other like parts.
>>
UPDATE
>>5551487
The driver's called "Press"

>>5551446
The disk is called "Knuckle"

>>5551451
The driver is called "Unite"
>>
>>5551803
And the layer is basically two parts, anyway. Who knows? I like that they've made the colored plastic more dominant, at least.
>>
>>5551803
>>5552119
I'm still wondering if they're going to make it so you can separate the Over Layer and Layer Core, because Kaiser Kerbeus and Victory Valkyrie both appear to have certain stickers underneath the transparent Over Layer (most notably on Kaiser Kerbeus' wings). The only way I see this happening is if they actually allow you to screw and unscrew the parts with an included screwdriver, something along the lines of a Tech Deck mini screwdriver, but I don't know how likely that would be.
>>
>>5552648
There are no stickers under the over layer. Plus, I doubt the layers are supposed to be separated because each layer has a specific assembly.

Hopefully, Takara will introduce a HWS-esque system later on.

Hot damn. I was into Beyblade back when they were just those plastic things with bit chips. I stopped paying attention to them and they've come a long way. I watched that video where they open the packs, do blind boosters come to the west or does Hasbro only do those ones where you buy the specific one? Or do you all just buy yours from Japan?

Hasbro makes nothing but Starter Sets. They did special packs that lacked a launcher and were cheaper (and decently popular) but I guess they ignored them later on.

He's nice enough in my experience, I've noticed he can come off to be a little condescending, but he's lent a hand in communicating with a shop I was planning to hold an event in a while back, and we hadn't even asked if he would help, so I still consider him pretty alright. His skills don't appear to be the sharpest though, going off his records he really doesn't seem to be much of a competitor given that he created the community.

I am refering to brad. kai-v has never really got under my skin the way brad did. suffice to say I got in an argument with brad about people hoarding multiple copies of rare beyblades like Trident heavy claw by buying random boosters by the caseload and refusing to sell or trade the excess. maybe I'm a little jelous but theres no reason to be greedy like that. It all ended with kai-v politely breaking up the argument and me leaving the website because its impossible to win a fight against a mod, especially if he apparently created the site. It's too bad also, because the WBO is where most news about upcoming products can be found.

odin banned? fuck that, If a beyblade is made and affordable to the masses, then I'm going to use it. The WBO doesn't own beyblade, just because people can't handle odin's ninja shuriken having ass doesn't mean he should be banned. Hell, both players can use odin, the outcome of a beybattle is not entirely dependant on what equipment you use, some of it also depends on the way a person launches the damn thing.

So, they tried to copy the effects of a rubber tip without making it out of rubber?
>>
>>5605381
No its a rubber tip with a bunch of thin little spikes that are intended to wear down and deform as you use it. Theoretically, the more you use it, the faster it will go, at least until the thin spikes are gone and then its completely useless.

Brad's micromodding on WBO is insane. When Burst was announced, people were pointing out their disappointment that the tops were only 3 pieces. Brad "jokingly" said that people who keep complaining about that will get banned, because he said they Takara will add more parts down the line. But the Burst anime is already out and when the previous anime series started for the past gens they always introduced new parts to the system (spin gear system, clear wheels) but Burst Beyblades are still 3 parts with dual layers being 'wow its fucking nothing'.
>>
>>5605728
Really? I haven't payed much attention to that site lately, but I remember upon annoucement he was probably the most pessimistic about it, although more because of the burst system sounding luck-based. I wonder what changed. And yeah, dual layers aren't really newsworthy imo.

Also on this thing
>>5605005
So is it stronger when fresh or used? It sounds not worth it, how does it stack to the other tips?
>>
>>5605789
Yes, he was initially pessimistic about it, but he felt that criticizing the lack of parts was not a legitimate complaint and told people to stop mentioning it, even though people were just voicing their disappointment in a reasonable matter.
Brad had way too much influence in the community. I realize he was important in the early days of the Beyblade community, but its like there is a cult of personality.

I don't have any Burst, but according to what people have said, Variable is bad when it's fresh as well as when the spikes are completely gone. It's supposed to be the best when the spikes are worn down but present (which seems to be a small window of optimal performance thanks to the awful design).
>>
>>5604449
Well you do realize it being banned means you just can't use it in WBO events, of course you can still use it outside the WBO. When parts are banned it's because they are incredibly good at what they do and overtake in the game, therefore taking the fun out of the game because everyone starts using the part, it would be boring as fuck if everyone used Odin and the only competitor would probably be active defense.

If you want to see why it's banned, just watch it crucify Victory Valkyrie, with a Gravity disk nontheless: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4me1EYZqiow&nohtml5=False

Claw is available with several Beyblades from both Random Boosters 1 and 2 though. Also didn't Brad give away a bunch of RBV1 at his Burst event?
>>

>>5606281
idk dude 1234bb is probably the best blader right now. He pretty much out launches everyone lol
>>
>>5606199
>with a Gravity disk nonetheless
But Gravity is roughly the same weight as Heavy.
>>
>>5607547
It's still better than stock with Boost, what I was trying to say is that Odin still outperforms V2 even when it uses Gravity.
>>
>>5606199
I complely agree with the point odin is a powerhouse and everyone using the same parts can get boring. However when 2 people have the same equipment on both sides, it measure the humans ability to use such equipment rather than the pieces themselves. A similar but not exact analogy would be the game of chess or checkers, as both sides start with the same potential to win, but it is up to the players skill to wether or not they will win.
>>
>>5606961
for me personaly, its not about just having claw. Its about having the whole beyblade, even if the trident layer is subpar. I understand different colors and varients are ment to be expensive, and i'm ok with that, but all beyblades should be obtainable on a basic level.
>>
>>5608097
The Trident layer is also in Random Layer Booster 2. Isn't your issue with Takara-Tomy for making rare Beyblades in the first place? RBV1 and RBV2 were available in pretty big quantities, much more than in MFB, they were pretty widely available at release time.
>>
>>5608097
Like there were over 2,000 cases of RBV produced, how many WBO members bought cases? Less than 10? And lots of people who did sold some or used them as tournament prizes

This is the thread that's most likely in question
>>
>>5608585
what? this isn't even an argument, what's the big deal here
>>
>>5608585
I don't see what you're getting at, Brad was correct. People who have a rare part, or even multiples of that part, had to buy a lot of boosters to do so, and if they used their own hard earned cash then it's even more in their right to do whatever they want with said parts. Sure, it's kind of a dickish move to make others feel lame for not having some rare part, but I don't really think anyone is trying to make others feel that way.

Biggest factor here for me is that you don't need rare parts to be good at the game, that may not be what you're getting at, but skill doesn't come from the blade, it comes from the blader.
>>
>>5608178
you have a point there, if takara tomy never made random boosters with rare beyblades we wouldn't have a problem.
>>5608182
yes there is a lot of them out there. but if you want to buy trident heavy claw from someone, expect to pay over $100. as for tournament prizes, you have to pay lots of $ to travel to a tournament (unless your lucky enough to be in the right geographical place, which michigan is not.) and even then your not guaranteed that the prize is trident or if you will win it.
>>5608805
I can agree with what brad said on the surface. and "IF" you worked hard to get the $ to sweep the shelf of random boosters. but there will always be people who are born with a silver spoon in their mouth like the person in the pic to the left who regardless of give aways on youtube or not are still a problem. I guess it just go's down to "moral ethics" of how many "copies" of the same thing do you "need". the answer usually is 1 to 2 for people to complete their collection, (and yes I know hes just a kid, but there are greedy adults out there too.)

I hope this clears up my point and where I'm coming from. I mean no disrespect to any of you. (unless mabey you are bey brad. I still kind of hold a grudge with him.)
>>
>>5609405

Zankye is the Eventube of beyblade.
>>
>>5609405
your example isn't a very good one because more often than not, zankye's dad posts on his behalf. They get their beys and a lot of them because they both have some sort of income, whether it be YouTube and a separate job. Zankye also has influence for his YouTube channel, so he has to spend money to have beys in good condition to make videos regardless.
>>
>>5609405
Keep in mind that you can host your own tournaments through the WBO, I host for LA because our old host has been inactive for a long time, and it does take a bit of effort to accumulate enough attendees, but I've done it before and I'm going to keep doing it, and people generally contribute prizes. I don't know how many bladers are active in Michigan, but if you advertise and also ask people you know, it's entirely possible.
>>
>>5609405
It seems like you just want an excuse to hold a grudge and argue desu
>>
This is a super dead thread, but I'm gonna ask anyways.

How well do the old Beyblades hold up compared to the newer ones?

Is there a cutoff from passable Beys and geriatric beys?

And lastly, does anyone own a HMS Beyblade?
>>
>>5611151
You pretty much have to play each generation by itself. For instance, plastics and HMS are too light to stand any chance against MFB/Zero G, and I think Bursts are too light to compete with MFB/Zero G because the layers are plastic.
>>
>>5611151
>>5611359
Most generations have to be played withing themselves, but so far Plastics and Burst are pretty on par competitors. Of course Burst blades will burst, but I've seen them beat Plastics quite a few times before, it's fun to see them fight. Otherwise MFB really can't fight with Plastics or Burst because they're too heavy, the only thing that comes close is Hybrid Wheel System vs HMS, or pre-Hybrid.

I remember that old thing, what was it from draciel F. I believe. I recall when I was younger putting ball berrings in those 4 holes for extra weight. had to shave some of the plastic off for the balls to fit though. yup highly illegal for wbo but fun in casual play.
>>5617419
I too am looking forward to that O driver, and its good to hear that D2 will probably not be off balance. Its also nice to get another force disk with Dark Deathscyther. When I first saw force with Excalibur I thought of how its weight could be used in a defence combo.

Hey /bey/ found this old thing (of course missing the bit)

Unlike the plamo general there isn't really an FAQ so I'll hazard asking. I tried to read the thread too but I got fucking nothing. Seeing as the new anime's coming out new toys are too.

Whats a good way to get into the current meta of beyblade? Especially with the new system and beyblades coming out (though I do think they're over designed as fuck but still cool looking) and have nostalgia goggles and only think the older models looked really cool.

If you want an ongoing reference for current top Burst combinations you can check this out: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Beyblade-Burst-Competitive-Combos-List-Public-Discussion-TENTATIVE

As for an Metal Fight tier list, you can look here: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-MFB-Standard-Competitive-Customs-List-and-Public-Discussion

And lastly here is a Plastics tier list: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Plastics-Competitive-Custom-List-and-Public-Discussion

If you want to get into the metagame, Burst would be easiest to newcomers because it's just coming out and the metagame isn't very developed yet, both Plastics and Metal Fight have their own meta but it's complicated and you'd have to want to spend a while studying parts unless you just want to go off of the tier lists (which isn't all bad). The WBO has most of the information on each meta, but you can ask questions here too, I have a wide base of knowledge surrounding Metal Fight because I've studied it more than any other series, I know a decent amount about Burst, but while I grew up with Plastics my knowledge on the meta is pretty poor, I just love Dranzer.

I'd suggest getting a Burst starter if you want to physically get into the game again, Wyvern is a good blade to begin with and it comes with a powerful shooter. Definitely look into the World Beyblade Organization if you don't already know about it, if you're into Plastics they still hold events in that format occasionally and you could host one too.
>>
>>5619102
5619327 anon is right wyvern comes with a string launcher. so does excalibur however, and the mold on the prongs of excaliburs string launcher are a bit newer with a redesign ment to hold the beyblade beter. whether or not this design choice really works better is subjective. Personaly I have both and find them each to be fine beyblades. As for the technicals on metagame the WBO is your best bet. Im more of a experienced yet casual player prefering to avoid WBO compititions.

How will Hasbro handle the U.S. release? Will the pregen beys be released as starters first, or will they just take the newest starters and release those?
>>
>>5619977
Supposedly, Hasbro is going to do a soft launch in 2016, then a full launch in 2017. Perhaps, they may release the first series burst beys for this time frame, and release the dual layer beys when the anime premiers.

lets just hope hasbro doesn't screw it up. when metal fight beyblade came over here it started good with the beys being practically the same as the japanese counterparts but much more affordable due to being able to just go to the store and pick up the bey you wanted. another thing that was good is they tended to make harder to get random beyblades available as starters. "BUT THEN" when 4D beys came around they decided to cut corners. no more sticker sheets, use of different parts from the original design, parts molded together to lose their gimmick, and let us not forget those god awful neon color replacements they called hyperblades. they continued these strange trends of doing whatever the hell they wanted to do, well into the release of zero g beyblade. sure little kids didn't know they where being scammed, but older collectors and players did. hasbro lost a lot of money on those shenanigans.
>>
>>5619977
I wouldn't get your hopes up. Like >>5621414 said, they really dropped the ball with MFB. Most of the metal wheels they produced were hollowed out and a lot lighter than the TT/SonoKong ones, which made them pretty much worthless.

beywheels and beywariors are a hasbro exclusive spinoff from what I could tell. they are not true beyblades in the least, but an idea that hasbro came up with seemingly out of the blue. if hasbro hadn't spent their money on a mistake like that, we might have had better beyblades.
>>5622770
are you kidding me? the zero g hasbro beys came with no stickers, different colors from the original and a bizarre different mold for the stone faces. sure that dragoon wheel is a tad heavier but most of the beys just looked like crap.

hasbro should have realised that if the beyblade formula isn't broke don't fix it

superficial? the whole point of the beyblades is 2 fold, to collect and battle. I can't collect something that is visually inferior to the original. I can understand if all you look at beyblade as is new parts to battle with, but there are some of us who like to collect the beyblade for artistically appealing reasons as well. I don't think thats being superficial I believe its a valid point.
>>
>>5621822
I don't remember the early hasbro metal wheels being very hollowed out, but I could be wrong. do you have any examples? because I didn't see much gimping of earlier MFB only later when 4D beys where around. I do remember the changes to cancers bottom was made and the burn was smoothed to remove the word burn, but other than that I can't think of any physical mold changes.
>>
>>5624124
There weren't really any differences in the molds or weight of earlier MFB parts for Hasbro, it happened for 4D.

>>5623443
The tools don't fit any better with or without the shape change, any MFB tool can unscrew a stone face just the same as a metal face.
>>
>>5626354
exactly, thats what I thought. It really didn't seem to git gimped in MFB only the 4D line and some of the missing stickers for beys that where originaly boosters like screw lyra and screw fox. also yeah wtf the tools took off stone faces just fine without that weird plastic wasting cross shape.

The cross stone faces always bother me because it's such a small difference but the proper ones look infinitely better and stickers fit better on them.

I get the feeling this is shilling but it would've been more relevant if the video actually mentioned Beyblade, though it was primarily a 2000's thing anyway, only really early stuff came out for it in 1999 before the full release when it became a craze.

It's not just for show, Wyvern with Accel is for active defense, which hasn't really had much of a use until Burst because there was never a big reason before to avoid hits when you could absorb them.

The movement of Accel combined with the defensive properties of Wyvern and Heavy let you avoid hits and if you do get hit you have the chance for Wyvern to parry off collisions and Accel can move itself out of the way. The point is to negate bursting and have just enough stamina to outlast. Zephyr might be a better option for this because it's still a flat with more stamina.

in the plastic format, active defense or tornado stallers are very viable because of how dominant zombies are. SG metal flat 2 can out spin dragon saucer based combinations by riding the ridge, thus not allowing dragon saucer to spin steal.

I hope a MF style Driver comes out for Burst soon.

Got Wyvern and Deathscyther in the mail recently, I love how the purple Accel looks on Wyvern.

Can't believe beyblades are still around but lately I've been getting into spinning tops and shit. Are there any good blades just for long spin duration/gimmicks? Is there any skill in battling or is it just luck? (Also what are some neat non-battling tops?)

Pic related.
>>
>>5660178
Is that from the newest series? Because it doesn't look like the others in the thread. Looks much uglier imo
>>
>>5660045
Also where do people buy the Japanese beyblades these days?
>>
>>5660922
hlj, yahoo Japan auctions, eBay, etc

that one in particular is phantom orion from the 4D line from metal fight beyblade. The tops from the newest line, Burst, don't have incredible spin times like the last series. Phantom Orion has a bearing in its tip, causing it spin for like 9 minutes. There is also a line way back during the original run of bakuten shoot, which are the gyro beys. They also spin for a long time, but they're kinda rare outside of yahoo Japan auctions
>>
>>5661065
I looked on HLJ but it looked like most things were discontinued.
>>
The most autistic thread on /toy/
>>
>>5660856
No, it's from the older Metal Fight series. It has the ability to spin for about 7 minutes.
>>
>>5661098
right - i forgot to tell you to only use hlj for the current line, most of the stuff is out of stock because they aren't in production anymore, haha
>>
>>5662085
By current line I assume you mean burst?

Battling is based upon your customization and the way you launch.

If you're looking for a blade from the current series that has good stamina, you might want to pick up Rising Ragnaruk G.R.

The Driver on this blade is where most of it's spin time comes from, it has a sharp tip with a free-rotating caul around it that provides it with better balance and stamina, the Gravity disk is also helpful due to it's weight.

Somehow I fucking posted a picture of this as a thread, but it's meant to go here.

The Weight Tamper is kinda interesting though, it's like a gyro stabilizer for cameras but for launchers, so maybe it will negate small jittery movements.

How is it? from what I've heard the defense is pretty good but it still doesn't really compete with something like Wyvern Heavy Revolve/Orbit/Defense, I just really like K2's whole design, but the parts don't seem all that useful, especially Disk and Driver.
>>
>>5676996
I haven't gotten to test it, yet, but from what I've heard, Press hasn't been tested at all.
>>
>>5679019
It never seemed like a very useful Driver, I'd be surprised to see it have any particular purpose, right now Orbit really seems like the best Driver for pure defense, they should have put metal bearings in the spiked sections jutting out of Press, that would have made it a far more considerable competitive choice for it's weight.

5 chrome wheels(2 Revisers, Ifraid, Orojya, and Saramanda)
3 metal wheels(Duo, Scythe, and Blitz)
1 clear wheel(Uranus)
2 crystal wheels(Guardian and Samurai)
2 stone faces(can't tell)
1 regular face(can't tell)
3 tracks(A230, 145, and SW145)
3 bottoms(educated guesses, WD, JSB, and SD

That red bey in the upper right corner looks like a Flash Sagittario, but I can't identify all its parts. You've got some Beywarriors figures as well.

And BTW, that red thing in the bottom right corner is a decorative piece from the Beywarriors Octagon Showdown Battle Set.

any idea what the clear blue thing on the left is (between the warriors and decorative peice). It doesn't fit onto/with anything.

New video of Holy Horusood: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWAMvw0CL7o

I'm not too interested in it, but it looks surprisingly nice with Claw, and maybe the Layer will be good for defense/stamina.
>>
>>5642893
How about now?
>>
>>5700509
From watching some videos it actually seems to have pretty wicked defense and good resistance.

This video shows how well it absorbs most strikes, though it still lost to an unexpected burst, which is usually highly unlikely for Wyvern: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lU1ejdpWE8c

Wyvern Heavy Accel is coincidentally my exact current combo for Burst, so I took some pictures.

I haven't had any tournament testing with this combo yet, just testing on my own, but soon there should be more Burst format WBO events for LA, I love this combo, purple Accel looks great with Wyvern, especially with the sticker in my opinion.
>>
Victory Valkyrie sucks pretty bad for being the main protag beyblade. So many kids are going to get ripped off with those worn drivers and snapped layers
>>
>>5706332
The Variable Driver's gimmick is that when it wears down it's performance changes, but I agree that the Layer is way too prone to breakage. There really isn't any competitive reason to get V-Valkyrie, I like that the Driver is unlike anything before in Beyblade and I wanna see more interesting ideas like it, but it's still not very good for attack types and the stamina is worse than probably any aggressive rubber tip that has ever existed.

What do you think of Wyvern dorfor stationary defence? Pic related is my Wyvern Gravity Defence. Should I upgrade to the Orbit or just rely on the Accel? I'm in the UK so I don't know how much tournament presence there is here.
>>
>>5706502
For stationary defense it's also good, the Layer is good at resisting burst and parrying hits, but if you use it for stationary I would definitely recommend using Orbit, just with the original Wyvern Layer and obviously Gravity/Heavy. I want to get good with active defense, though it can be hard to get Accel to always tornado stall.

Fantom Grip had the same concept

Is it just me or is the staff really annoying, specifically Shirayuki, he doesn't seem to like anything

How did TT fuck up so bad? The protag beyblade for the first season of the anime is like one of the most important releases. Variable's design and gimmick is so stupid. They honestly fucked up here and back in MFB. For HMS they had three different type of grip tips specifically for attack: Grip Flat Core, Grip Flat Core UV (wider than regular GFC, same width as MFB RF and Burst Xtreme), and Metal Weight Grip Core (narrower, slower, and heavier version of GFC). They should have released a GFC equivalent for Burst and MFB first instead of jumping straight into the GFCUV equivalent, because they end up coming up with down rubber tip upgrades like Variable or Final Drive afterwards.

I'm actually excited to see the Hasbro releases between I know they will change Variable and V2 to make them less prone to breakage.
>>
Is Attack always gonna be at a disadvantage? I've never seen a attack combo good enough to be banned only stamina and defence every get that great.

Attack relys to much on knock out and rarely on destabilizing, in certain stadiums they get like Hasbro ones they get fucked. Burst sorta fixes this.

But the best bottoms for it ( rubber flat tips) still can't take long use. and you have to buy multiples of RF and RF2. Which sucks because attack types are the most entertaining
>>
>>5711917
Attack is the best type in HMS.

I wouldn't really say that they're at a disadvantage all the time. When you look at the history of banned parts, you'd notice that they're more OP balance parts (Libra, F230). I'd also like to mention that Omega got banned from limited not too long ago, and that proved to be a really good attack wheel.
>>
>>5711917
Attack is always going to be a high risk high reward type. If going by Attack>Stamina>Defense>Attack people will usually lean towards stamina, because stamina really requires no skill and you generally won't expect to see attack being used. But a good attack player can wipe out basic stamina combos, and if they are good they can beat defense. At one point in MFB, attack was considered the strongest type, but people were still hesitant to use in tournaments because they are so risky. You can look at this insane old thread: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Takara-Tomy-needs-to-find-it-s-bearings-a-Beyblade-metagame-timeline
>>
>>5713151
That seems like it was a problem because libra was banned and they where scared to unbanned it because it wouldn't balance just break it worse with just 1 part. Defense can get that good all you got to do is make a part 2 heavy and round
>>
>>5707464
Thanks for answering my qs, just trying to spend my money wisely.

With HH released, do you think the Orbit outclasses the Claw in terms of defence?
>>
>>5717520
Most likely, Claw is good but it's still a sharp and not very wide, in terms of pure defense Orbit outclasses Claw, but in terms of pure stamina Revolve outclasses it.

New image of Xeno Xcalibur, I still think it's sorta overdesigned for Burst aesthetics, but it looks pretty nonetheless. Can't wait for them to reveal the Disk and Driver, especially the Driver.
