Really, MGSV works way better if you pretend it's not Metal Gear at all. Gameplay-wise, it's pretty fucking great, if a bit bare in places.
But then there's the problem that huge chunks of the game's content were cut at the last moment, and the plot ultimately goes nowhere. It basically only confirms that Huey is human garbage and explains how Big Boss didn't die in Metal Gear 1.
I don't hate the game, it's just really disappointing.

I didn't hate the game. Hell I even enjoyed it after finishing. But over time, the whole thing just felt so empty that my small dislike for it turned into a massive fury as large as the sun. So yeah, needless to say I kinda hated it in the end.
What's DD's articulation like? I don't own any quad figures. Is he to scale with the other MGSV PAKs?

That's exactly it. Too much (repetitive but admittedly fun) gameplay, not enough cutscenes and weirdness. Miller's Hamburger tapes were the most MGS part of the whole game and we didn't get nearly enough of that shit.

I'm still waiting on mines though it's my first PAK purchase. I know the scale bigger but can you compare him to a regular 6 inch if you can? I'm debating where to display him since I don't have an intention to go for any other MGSV PAK's.

Well here's an impromptu photo shoot showing off strengths and weakness. I'll be using my Red XIII for comparison.
He's got a lot of well placed joints that give him a lot of motion while not sacrificing the sculpt.
He's got two ball jointed sections making up the neck on top of a sliding hinge to help look up and down. The ball joints are fairly shallow, but he can look up and to the side more than Red.

However Red has a much deeper downward look ability.

Red also has a much deeper ability to turn his side inwards, however, due to his sneaking suit, D-Dog's sculpt isn't as broken in the process.

On leg posability, D-Dog has a bit more range and a cleaner joint placement allowing for more natural looking posing.

D-Dog also comes with the Play Arts stand that Red does not. Add that with the three heads and three swapable jaws and two different weapons and sheaths, D-Dog easily wins on accessories.

I don't own any recent humanoid PlayArts (nor do I want to, except Fran), closest I got is those old ass Advent Children dudes. But he seems finish for a LARGE dog or wolf in that scale.
As you can see, he pretty much dwarfs anything on a different scale tho.

I'm really not into PAK toys.
Red XIII and Spy Dog are my only actual ones. But since they're inhuman things with one eye each, there's not a lot for them to fuck up in their classic ways.
I AM taking the plunge on FFXII's Fran tho because I love that goddamn bunny girl so much and this is the first toy of her ever.

I thought about getting Mister J or the B-Man, but I'd only want them as accessories for my Harley, so I decided against it. At least for now.
And they probably did Sneaking Suit DDog because that looks more iconic than just A Dog/Wolf and it hides articulation better.

They're basically on a revoltech joint, so they can pose in anyway so long as there's clearance. The only limitation is that the ears are very solid plastic.

And I just found out that sliding hinge can actually move a lot more than I thought, so D-Dog actually has entirely superior neck movement and posability.
