Time: early 90s. It was a mermaid doll, maybe only 4 or 5 inches tall. What made this toy weird was that instead of having a flat fin style tail the doll 'stood' on a sideways fin. o+--<
The head was soft plastic and it had stamped on 'Precious Moments' style eyes. She had green rooted hair. The body was hard plastic green/turquoise. I believe I could move the arms but the rest of the body was in-flexible.
Hope someone on here know what the hell I'm talking about. Googling does nothing for me but it's NOT this one.

this?
Was it that same brand, OP? Just a different color?
This is a shitty sketch of the doll. I don't remember if the tail was sideways or front/back but it balanced on itself. The color was green fading to deep blue, I recall.
this one? she didn't stand on her own, but she sang, and otherwise sounds like what you're describing

After sleeping on it, I remember it also had flexible plastic angel wings and stood on a 4-finned tail. It had a small gold loop-string hanging from it's head so maybe it was a car freshener. I have no idea where it was gotten. It was before 1997 and we went to a lot of garage sales.
My dad destroyed it in front of me for no reason and then hung it up on the wall by the string.

Gold loop string? Sounds like it was an ornament.
Anon, did you even look at >>5419561 or >>5419758? Cus this sounds exactly like a Sea Wee.

Actually I'm mixing these with a doll by the same manufacturer that looks really similar. These are Shimmers. There's these, there's regular mermaids, there's fairies, centaurs, etc. They're cute as fuck.

aw man I used to have the centaurs
