Maybe it's because the mask is virtually the same color as her face and it's referencing an album cover featuring a bald guy.

>>
>>5415670
Why don't you combine the bases on the top two figures? Why have them separate?
>>
>>5415670
"Clusterfuck" is an understatement. You should never have everyone in the setup dynamically posed, not to mention most of the poses look like garbage. And where the hoes at?! It's a sausage fest on that shelf.

Alright fine. I don't have Gwen and Venom yet, so it's not fully refined.

>>
>>5415832
How is that exclusive Daredevil? Thinking about getting him while my Walgreen still has a lot of stock.
>>
>>5415838
He's right though, if you have everyone in a dynamic pose it just becomes messy. You gotta have a few guys just standing there to even out the display.
>>
>>5415847
He's fine I guess, yellow on calves doesn't match the rest, neither does the red on the wrists, and there's a potential for the skin tone to be kinda messed up and gloppy. Your standard ML issues.

Not gonna lie anon, but your set up is a little boring. It's not bad but just a bit boring. Try making some more interesting poses with some of you characters.

I updated my display with Ben but I need Spider-Gwen too and I just can't find her anywhere. Also holy fuck this picture made me realize how badly I have to dust.
>>
>>5415876
Not gonna disagree. I just prefer subtle posing I guess. I may mix it up later; set a couple of them up in some aerial poses in the background when Gwen and Venom come in.

Thanks anons. Got it for like just shy of $2K. Then I got it signed when Stan Lee came to a local con. CGC was there and I figured it was time to slab it up. Everyone in line was super jealous of it and even Stan was a little thrown off by it. Someone in line said he wasn't signing anymore AF 15s or ASM 1s any more and that it shouldn't have gotten signed and I was super lucky. Idk how true it is though. It's one of my most prized possessions.

I got an idea for a Marvel Legends wave
1)Peter Parker w/camera, laptop, extra web-shoot hands and a "Spider Sense...Tingling!" head
2)Logan with regular and pissed heads, clawed and non clawed hands, and a six pack
3)Matt Murdock with cane, opening briefcase with removable "legal papers" hiding a folded up DD costume, and extra head with his mask in mid removal
4)She Hulk with her hair up, glasses, and court room suit
5)Tony Stark with Iron Man parts (chase figure, b&w Howard Stark)
6)Might be a good time for a new Kingpin
7)or Jigsaw
BAF:Awesome Andy with chalkboard

Here's my dream wave

>1. Superior Iron Man: New sculpt, alternate head with a smug Tony face, two fists and two open hands
>2. Beta Ray Bill: Modern costume update, could maybe re-tool the existing Thor mold
>3. God Emperor Doom: New mold entirely, with an alternative Maskless Doom face
>4. Whiplash comic version: three sets of whips for different posing purposes
>5. Horseman of Death Sentry: Retool the Grim Reaper mold, better cape, retool old Sentry head, arms can be reused
>6. Classic Hawkeye: Just give him a workable bow and some arrows for christs sake
>7. Aunt May: Alternative Spider-Aunt head
>BAF: She-Hulk

I'm not sure but I can tell you that the scale you're going to be looking for is about 1/12, so that may help your search.

Atleast we got a wold head. That's the selling point for me. But without that, I'd pass, unless it had those scales.

Red daredevil is a very good figure, and is becoming more and more of a pain in the ass to find. He's probably not worth what he goes for on the aftermarket, but he's a great find at retail.

Nova was super popular when his wave first came out, and dropped to below retail like 6 months after. I like the design but his figure is shitty, so unless you REALLY liked the character you did good.

Spider-Gwen's success is just because her costume is a really, really nice design. She's got pretty much nothing else going on for her.

Yeah, the spider girl mold is (in)famous for this shit. I dropped mine under a heatlamp for a minute and dodged the usual bullets of stuck ankles and elbows. I actually thought I got off easy until I popped the head off and got a look at the neck hinge. Oh well.

I saw a video recently about dremeling out part of her chest balljoint to give her an actual ab-crunch, I might try it out on this one and pick another up later.

I believe he's a 4" figure. Not perfect, but I'd say he's the best Falcon we've gotten to date. He's 5 bucks at Ross, and I think TRU has him in a double pack for 20 if you can't find him.

I'm glad I managed to fine him back when TWS stuff was on shelves, I made a point of getting him too because he's probably the best 3'4-4" figure of Falcon we'll ever get at this point, I'd highly recommend him, especially if you've got two spare pistol-like weapons to give him.

Check around 9 mins for the end results. It's actually a little nuts how much more range you can get, I always figured the top of the chest section would just collide with the lower part, but it's all internal molding holding it back. I'm gonna try to pop wasp and captain marvel later on to see if it'd work on them too.

The hip mod looked awful and almost unnecessary, but the torso movement is surprising. Still would be better if they updated the figure with a big hinge in the abs, similar to the DC Icons line, only done better.

>>
>>5418944
The Icons scheme literally yields worse range of motion compared to the standard male bucks used by Hasbro, and looks worse to boot.
The only thing it does is give a slight improvement to the silhouette of the arched back. That's it.
The problem is that while the idea is great, the execution is incredibly misguided--just like their double-jointed elbows that only achieve a 90 degree bend.
>>
>>5418944
They're just scared of doing a straight up ab crunch for their women. And I mean, I get where they're coming from, but as the video shows, they don't have to be as shitty as they are.

It wouldn't surprise me if they do that. Hasbro has shown they won't shy away from doing figures more than once if they're different enough.

>>
>>5420056
I got hired by my buddies construction job, and was lent one of the company box trucks to get to the jobsite.
On the morning of my first day i drove off in just my shirt and boxers, then turned around to get my full clothing on, making me late, then i realized some assholes from high school had hidden some of my things while i was getting dressed. They kept fucking with me to the point of me trying to fight them, except it's dream physics so i couldn't even make a fist.
Then I finally had all my stuff, and realized the truck was missing, so I was running around town hunting for it frantically, already super late.
It should be noted that I was woken up before this dream by my bf eating breakfast with his mouth open again, which I'm trying to figure out how to confront him on it without being a dick.

>>5420037
Well shit.

And here's Gamora with revoltech joints for ankles. I now have a definite need to get some more range from her hips. The ankle mod combined with a quick spray of Rustoleum Specialty Metallic (over primer) really increased the appeal of this figure for me.
>>
>>5419952
>>5420037
Yeah I don't know about the other stores, but my local Walgreens was stuck with just two Superior Spider-Men for the longest time. It was only around two months ago or so that they finally got in various figures from the Hobgoblin, Rhino, and Hulkbuster waves, though they did get the exclusive Black Ant on time.
>>
>>5418813
It was decent. Worth retail but not a penny higher. Sculpt was good, wings clip on and off nicely, face has a good likeness, but the lack of both thigh swivels AND calf swivels makes ground posing limited. No guns either, which subtracts from the attack poses, too. I hate that they included some shitty base instead of things that would actually aid the figure (like, I don't know, guns or a flight stand), but what do you expect from DST and their ongoing business strategy of always being in distant last place for 99% of their "competitive" products.
>>
>>5420220
it would be a simpler fix if she had flat sole feet.
>>
>>5420297
Yeah, I don't have any spare. I might attempt to make some from sculpey.
But the original ankle articulation was the old style with no rocker and the peg going straight up into the shins, so ther would have had to be a big change in the ankle joint regardless.
I'm doing the same to a DCC Talon right now, and will also be applying this method to the Hulkbuster wave War Machine once I figure out how best to shim up the revo peg inside that figure's shins.
>>
>>5420220
her, black widow, and black cat i can never get to stand on their own for more than a few hours. im tired of propping them againsts shit, how can i improve them?
>>
>>5420352
DESU, the easiest solution is some figure stands. Since they're all Hasbro, you can get some KO Hasbro stands from eBay for relatively cheap, or a couple of Tamashii stands. I've got the smoke grey Hasbro-branded Tamashii stand. It holds up the weight of Legends figures well.

For Black Cat, you could easily just swap out her high heels for White Tiger's feet. But for Gamora and Widow you're kind of out of luck without modding or using a stand. They do sit on their knees and asses pretty well though.
>>
Kind Anons, What are the odds we'll ever see this Magik as a normal release?
She was an exclusive in a Dr. Strange set from the SDCC, I also don't wanna pay up to $100 for her loose..
>>
Was able to get pizza Spidey at my local Walgreen's. Finally able to replace my ASM2 Spidey
>>
>>5420569
Low to nonexistent. The X-Men wave sounds like it's shooting for more classic characters, and Magik would be more at home in a modern X-Men wave. I'm not sure that we'll see more than that one wave either. If it takes off and we keep getting X-waves, maybe, but that just doesn't seem likely to me.

Likewise, it sounds like Strange's own wave is full, and they probably don't want to re-use too many characters from the set there.

What REALLY gets under my skin is the muscle definition all these modern day marvel legends have. It's like they're not even clothed most of the time, their costumes look painted on (I know they are literally, you get what I mean though). There's no material in the world that would be able to cling to skin like that. And I know characters in spandex and comic books are exaggerated with their spandex and muscle definition, but rarely to the degree of modern day Marvel Legends.

Pic related is how Hasbro should be sculpting their characters in spandex. There's enough muscle definition so you can see he's ripped as fuck, yet not so much so, that you can tell he's wearing spandex. Maybe even add a subtle wrinkle or two like Mcfarlene spiderman. It's not like that's going to prevent them from reusing the sculpt. I feel like that would go a long way in making their figures look nicer. Lines like figuarts and figma take this kind of thing into consideration when they make a character with tight clothing, and theyre usually nicer looking than marvel legends as a result.

I think Hasbro sort of designed the modern ML look after art from artists like Mike Deodato, who had a massive wave of prominence in Marvel a few years ago, just as the line was being relaunched. That's gone to the wayside in the last few years as trends change, but I think it was enough that Hasbro uses it as sort of a Marvel house style.
>>
>>5421018
Comparing Pizza Spidey to Deodato's art, I can see it.
