Whelp, here's the oldest Bionicle moc I have a picture of. (It's Elesh Norn from M:tG, New Phyrexia, for those that don't know). She sacrificed her legs to resurrect the Kardas Dragon, but she's still mostly intact on my junk pile.
I also have a keetorange chick with wheels for alternate feet, a big Dark green and black Cthulu-esque Titan (Tarduk's mask upside down as a face), a lime, red, and black Hero Factory bounty hunter, half of the hand held thing used to take the eyes out of the 2001 heads (Nuva shoulders to soften the hands) and two vehicles- one modified badass Cendox V1, and a glorified Grevious's starfighter/pod racer hybrid.

My experience with bionicles and toys ended a decade ago.
Target website has Onua MoE for 11.83. The actual store says it's 15.99 but you can price match

Skull Slicer is normally $15, so you aren't saving much, and while he's underarmored as fuck he has tons of bones and his gear function is great.
Onua is normally $20, and he's one of the best at his price point. Kopaka perhaps has too much armor and Tahu too little, but Onua is the swolest manlet of THICK ever. Good price.
LoSS is the black sheep of Bionicle 2015. $20 got you a golden mask and an okay build, but the actual final product is disappointing and unless you have a plan for the parts it's rather useless. However, for slightly more than 50% off, I'd snatch it up quickly. He's a mildly entertaining build that can help boost Kulta/Skull Grinder to an actually menacing size.
So if you have none, Onua is the best. LoSS is great value when paired with Kulta of Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder, and Skull Slicer is a lower-middle tier of summer 2015, so they'll be around longer. Also Skull Slicer has Lewa's mask, so having Lewa increases the value of Skull Slicer.

So the Barnes and Noble in my area stocked up on the new constraction figures, including the Star Wars stuff. Was gonna pick up Poe Dameron or Rey but I saw Umarak and I had no choice (much like Rey's family, I'll be back for her).
Umarak is just as awesome as the shitty BZP review made him look. Big, imposing, and he has antlers. His shoulders are really low, though, but thanks to the way he.s constructed (pic related) you can mod it really easily and make them look better. It doesn't even really fuck with his proportions that bad. If y'all want anymore pics just tell me.

As for anything else? Most of Winter 2015 is extremely solid after LoSS. Most you could argue is Pohatu being a manlet and Narmoto (Fire protector) and Izotor (Ice) having one bone arms, but beyond that any flaw (like Lewa's restricted neck) are either easily fixable or taste issues.
As for the Summer 2015 sets, Slicer you know, Basher has a good and unique function, Warrior is solid, and Scorpio while having 0 leg articulation and not many useful bones, does have a fun build and a cool function. Definitely a parts pack.
Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder (aka Ekimu v Kulta) is a must get if just for Ekimu AND the Mask of Creation. Kulta is a bit small, but with LoSS's parts he's proper size. Check DrScorpionX's Kulta Kai on YouTube- it's a good model even without the transforming feature.
Jury's out on the 2016 sets since the good reviewers don't have it yet, but Umarak is still God-tier and Pohatu is better than he looks. All the creatures by themselves have varying levels of appeal of technic heavy vs bone heavy, but Ketar the stone scorpion seems definitely the weakest.
Sadly the 2015 Star Wars sets after being hit with the royalties stick are worse value than Bionicle. Luke and Obiwan are solid but have weird human heads, Jango and Cody are too generic and don't have lightsabers, but Vader is bretty gud and Grevious while pricy is worth the cost of admission.

While the shoulders on the Protector of Ice mic are different, they don't interfere with the head. The mask collides with the side armor shells slightly, but they don't knock it off unless you try to turn it straight. If they wear the MoCo, they'll have to look slightly up if they turn their head, and they can't look down.
