>that's not gore; that's body horror
No it's not. Body horror would be "the skin under your hand is filled with insects that are controlling your hand", or "You're turning into an alien from the inside out".

I wonder how long till toy companies fix this problem, if ever
>>5342386
They won't. You're supposed to treat rubber every few months or sooner if they're in a dry environment.
>>5342389
Possible alternatives to rubber for seamless bodies?
>>5342392
Flesh.
>>5342427
Possible less creepy and disturbing alternatives?
>>5342427
leather also dries and cracks.
>>5342429
silicone, but that's likely what they're made of already.
Vinyl can work too, but that'll eventually crack from all the movement.
There really is no good long term alternative.
Some companies have tried using polyester (see Capcom dolls), but that just looks like clothes.
>>5342429
bologna?
>>5342389
They're getting better at it - using synthetic mixes, forms of vinyl, etc.
I doubt it'll ever be 100% though.
