It's been known for some time now that Gen Arcee & Windblade had holes in them that were compatible with Tamashii stages, but there's been debate about it being intentional since Tamashii is a Bandai brand, meaning a major Tomy competitor.

Got my Buzzsaw in the mail today, the smartphone and bird modes are nice, forklift however leaves a lot to be desired considering all the holes, the fact they're trying to make them triple changers is cool I guess, but some vehicle modes are gonna be a mess as a result.

If anything, Blaster at least kind of makes sense as a base because it gives something for his cassettes to use for communications.
To be honest, Galvatron is one of the biggest offenders as a triple changer. Why did he need a jet mode? I'm totally alright with him being a headmaster, and I get that they want to give the Titanmaster something to "pilot" but how is a giant cannon something that they can't have them pilot, or sit in? Instead they give him a "jet" mode by adding an obnoxious jet piece which just becomes giant back kibble in robot mode, and a big piece that just sits underneath the cannon mode. They made it too big, why not make it a small cockpit with the cannon sitting underneath like Cybertronian Animated Megatron? It just seems like something completely necessary that just gets in the way. Not to mention, it barely even pulls off the form with the legs.

That's because when Hasbro does it, it's not accurate. When Takara does, it actually looks like the character. So yeah, it IS okay when Takara does it because they actually get the look of the character right. If paint is needed to accomplish this, whether it's details or fulfilling a color layout, Takara does it. Hasbro skimps on paint because of costs and the figure looks not only poorer as a result. but inaccurate most times too.

Actually, it's far more likely they'll retool Vortex for Blastoff. The front of the chopper looks like a shuttle front. Remove the chopper blades, slap on some wings, remold the back rotor part thingy into just a shutter back, and boom, you got a shuttle.

I'd assume they could. Just give the head a bit of a mane (adjusting the parts as needed to account for it) for the lion dude, and a bit more extensive remolding (short, stubby legs, rhino head) for the rhino one.

I'll give an abridged version of what happened. He cut the entire line on the way in because he thought we were friends, when I was barely talking to him. I was having a conversation with some other people and he kept shouting over us to join in. Then he started to go through the things in my bag without even asking. In the panel he started yelling at me to sit next to him, and then throughout the panel was screaming things he thought funny. When it came time for Q&A, he got really mad at me because I was putting my bags down, he thought I was going to jump over him or push him out of the way to reach the mic. Honestly, I should have. Then at the mic, he wasted time by going on some random story about how he loved the RID shit from 2000, when his question was something about Brainstorm.

Well, outside of Tarn, the alt modes are just too out there for the average TF toy. Plus, they're pretty niche characters with about 5 issues at most to their name. I could see them making a Tarn off of a tank body at some point. Maybe one from the Brawl body to go with this one, haha.
Just got my first ever Transformer! I have never seen any of the cartoons, movies or comic books but have ridden the ride at USF several times and know the basic premise of the franchise but that is it.
So I started with the Robots in Disguise Warrior Class Drift and I'm really impressed so far. He looks cool in both forms and is fun to pose and play around with and so I will definitely be getting more in the near future.
Is this a good one or are there even better ones in the line? So many different types to choose from and entirely sure what the differences are at this point.

RID Drift is one of the better RID molds from what I've heard.
Are there better ones? Well, that's going to depend on what you like. If you like complexity, there are a lot that offer more partscount and intricacies that anything in the RID line. But if you like simple play that easy and intuitive to convert, there's other things.
You might want to try out one of the limb bots from the Combiner Wars line out now. They're all a decent balance of complexity and fun-factor, and they're all about even in terms of quality (give or take a few exceptions). Just go for a design you like. If you want something more complex and expensive, any of the recent Masterpeice Autobot cars (Sidwswipe through Tracks) are fantastic toys.
