Show me toys that look retro but are still starships! I really want some toys that would look like they are tech made in the 1930s-1960s, the sleek shiny shapes they did back then were just gorgeous, and I would love to have some to use with star wars/gijoe/MU figures I have.
Best I can find right now, but I would prefer a more.. "airstream" look than merely this.
This is the sort of aesthetic I would love, star wars has the porax 38 which is close, but no toys are around of the bail organa speedercar, so I am kinda left at a loss on finding this sort of look in toy form.

Nice. I wish I could help.
Say what you want about the prequels, the 50's American Graffiti style of that speeder was pretty cool. I wish that was explored a little more.
>>5301856
OP you giant faggot, I had this as a kid. Was awesome and now I know the name and have a picture. Thanks
>>5301856
Loved that toy. Dunno where it came from, it was always in My grandparents garage in California when I'd go visit. I'd spend hours running around their yard with that thing brrrring up and down and blasting lasers.
>>5302109
Yeah, I really hope someone does more of the coruscant airspeeders like it, my favorite vehicles of the prequels.
Is this retro enough for you? Its 1:18th, i have a couple of Hydra guys driving mine. Yes, really, Gay Toys, NSFW. Also try looking for Arlen Ness bikes in any of the usual scales.
Space 1999 Eagle
I used to make vehicles out of bottles and cardboard for my toys
the space ships usually ended up just being planes because none of them were able to achieve escape velocity
>my ceiling was in the way of space travel
>>5302365
I had one of these as a kid! And a wheeled vehicle in the same line. Fun stuff.
>>5301856
Where has this been all my life?

Starmax Bomber and Starcom in general.
Good luck finding one that isnt yellow though.
It's new, but was designed to look retro, so it counts?
>>5303162
eeh, looks modern if anything, but not a bad option.
>>5302928
little too 80's, I wanted more shiny chrome rocket, less space shuttle in look, but keep trying, I'd rather see this than a dead thread.
>>5302423
I like this, but most especially that smooshed speederbike.
>>5302365
not bad, but again, a little too post star wars in style, definitely on the right track.
Any other suggestions? I really like where it's as though the spaceships of the 30's to 60's are real.

>never givan up
>never surrenderan
>GalaxyQuestan
I really wish there was ANY toy/model of the ford X2000 this image is based off, this seems about in tune with OP's idea.
>>5301856
Ohmigod GIVE ME BACK MY TOY!
>>5303718
Hey man, filename is the toy name, find it from there.
I'd say zam wesells speeder and gracious starship from star wars both fit the bill
>>5303486
How about a Fireball XL5 from Product Enterprise? Their Stingray looks excellent too.
>>5304601
Nice, certainly the right track, but I would like more figure interaction.
>>5303851
More pics of these toys if you got any!
What about Thunderbirds? I don't know if the old ones had vehicles big enough for figures.
>>5304889
I like them all.
Post more pictures of these wehicles! I need more pics of cool wehicles!
I've been thinking of getting some ships from Miles from Tomorrowland because I like their simple designs. I think they are the right size to throw in some 4 inch figures in there
>>5304922
Their mothership? can split into smaller vehicles.
>>5301856
Is that a bootlegged Y-wing
>>5304889
My niece got this for her birthday, it's a very good toy but the stickers are kind of shitty.
Hmm, not bad on the tomorrowland thing, more stuff!
And that is not a knock iff ywing, that is the starbird.
>>5304922
>>5304925
I like the designs for this series, especially pic related. Does anyone here have it?
>>5305479
Moron.
If you cut off the grip and trigger and repaint it, this water gun/spaceship might work for you.
>>5306744
Hot Saucer's not that bad, it's Jetson-y but I'd see it as a novelty hot-rod for sci-fi scenes.
>>5306509
>implying you don't want to cruise around the galaxy in a giant, flying, open-top space-gun.
I wanna see if my aunt still has one of these I used to play with. She might be moving soon and clearing stuff out. Wanna give it to a friend who likes BSG as part of a Christmas gift.
Though I guess this is more 70s into 80s.
>>5302928
Hmm. The one I got is only somewhat yellow in a couple places? If I wasn't going back to my place and didn't close up the basement here at my folk's place, I'd go looking for it.
Last Exile was an anime with a kinda steampunk or moreso clean dieselpunk art deco design sense.
Though good luck finding that airship from the blindbox. Even when I was in Japan a little after they came out I couldn't find one.
I used to use this for my Joes back in the day as well as other playmobil space stuff
I don't know how exactly it work for new joes, since old joes were a bit loose I guess with new joes it will be a perfect fit.
>>5306916
looks a bit clunky, not sleek.
>>5310583
Gotta simplify the design to mass produce.
>>5310594
you misunderstand though, the thread is about sleek rounded shapes, and that is nearly a flying box.
>>5312900
Not bad, looks rather fitting in those figures.
