This was a grail of mine back when I was a kid. Bought it off eBay a few months ago because nostalgia.

One issue is I've seen its really prone to yellowing like pic related and worse so I'm kind hesitant to even open the plastic bag it came in, let alone display it.
>>
>>5278743
Yellowing almost works for it since Predators are already kind of weird. I loved the Predator toys as a kid, though. Just hated that some of them had terrible articulation.

Nowadays I think it is smarter to just wait for a reissue and/or modern update of a childhood toy rather than hunting down for a 20, 30 years old one.

With that said, I got a bunch of Kenner Aliens toys a few years ago. I'm sure NECA will make those like the Predators but I don't care.

The big one for me is the Dairenoh and really happy it is getting a Legacy release.

I do with games.

There aren't many specific toys I wanted as a kid, I had broad interests like buying anything that was a dinosaur.

That is terrible, my father never give a fuck when I was a kid, welp he is not so bad, but is a cheap bastard and never bought me a good toy, his excuse was always "not enough money" but while spending a small fortune in bitches and paying rounds in the local pubs.
>>

I'm happy it's getting a legacy release too but $200? Even Titanus wasn't that much. Unfortunately, I'm probably going to have to pass just cause it's way too much for this.
>>
>>5278928
I do, I compensate with Pokémon stuff I never managed to get as a kid. Recently just finished collecting the Gen 1 cards and all the games up to Gen 3; my mom washed away 3 full decks of cards when I was a kid and my sister lost my Game Boy Pocket at a party a week or two after that.

There's just too much stuff for me to really collect though and my favorite Pokémon, Porygon2, doesn't have much stuff which makes it rare and expensive as hell.

as for toys I wanted as a kid, there weren't many, I usually got by with little toy soldiers and Hot Wheels that I carried in my pockets. Only toy I did have and that got lost was the MMPR Power Axe: I went to the thrift shop with my parents and found one there, bought it with the money I had saved up. I loved playing with it but I lost it in the move to where we live now (over 16 years ago)

Maybe one day I'll buy it but I don't even know where to look for one

I fully expect plenty of sales. It'll be at least $100 at some point. Every Legacy zord barring the original got a significant pricecut at some point.
>>
Back when Power Rangers first came to the US, I had both the Dragonzord and Titanus, but no Megazord to combine them with. I came close once, but I acted up in TRU and my mom was looking for any excuse to not get it. Long story short, my dad accidentally donated all my ranger stuff, and now I have three OG Megazords in varying condition some 20 years later. I'm hoping to one day at least collect the Zords from season one and In Space. I don't really care for Power Rangers anymore, but the nostalgia for those Zords is fuckin' strong.

Was obsessed with the '89 Batmobile as a kid during mid-90s Canada. Was born in '89, and by the time I was really conscious of toys in '94; stuff from even the '92 movie weren't around in my area anymore. Recently been going through old Betas and VHS that show how crushed I got... It's not fun.

So was stuck hoping to get lucky at garage sales, two times I found it. First one the boy kept raising the price on my dad, to the point he just walked away(don't blame him since I remember the snot upped the price to $60...) With the last one the teen(11-14?) just did not want to give it up actually, think he was being forced to sell his toys as a punishment; as he ended up running back in the house with it crying after he was showing off the gimmicks. Did not wanna make the older kid cry even more, so let it go; after my dad calmed me down.

Kinda gave up on toys after that in '98, and just had fun with scale models with my grandfather for a long while; eventually looping back into the toys in this hobby.

So went without as a kid yeah, but got to make up for it later; with something even greater I feel hahaha!

This so hard. Dinoriders was the coolest fucking non Transformers toy line. I should go back and buy them all right now. I don't know if it's nostalgia goggles or what but nothing out right now is as cool as fucking Dinoriders. The 80s and 90s were the perfect time for new toy lines, everything since 2002 has been trash.
>>
Well Dinoriders has been optioned as a motion picture so who knows how this franchise may grow. New merchandise?
>>
>>5280641
You could try, but because of the multitude of small parts, finding complete Dino Riders toys is a very expensive thing.

I actually got the vehicle combiner for Christmas one year, then picked up the central guy (devoid of his accessories) from a garage sale a year later...
They had the dinosaur cannon thing too, but my father didn't realize they ALL combined together.

Rectified that recently when he picked me up the Samurai Bull Zord from another garage sale and mentioned they "had a couple of other ones."

I got almost the ENTIRETY of the Gigazord, the only bits I'm missing are the Samurai Megazord's Sword (Kid still had the regular helmet, but not THE DAMN SWORD!) the Tiger Zord's Helmet Crest/Tail, and the top fin of the Shark Zord.
>>
Always wanted the Shockblast transformer from the Energon series as. Don't have anywhere to put it now so I don't see the point in getting it. Also kinda wanted Scorponok but now that I look at it, it's pretty ugly. Would love to get Cybertron-line Megatron, though.

I lost my Downshift from the Cybertron line a few years ago. Easily my favorite. Simple and the vehicle looked awesome. No idea what happened to it.

When you mean his legs collapse easily, do you mean his reverse knee joints? I'd recommend opening the legs up and putting some clear tape around the peg each "knee" moves on. I did that with mine and his knees are nice and tight now. Just be careful with the stickers when you do, as they go over the halves of the legs (but you could always just get reprolabels to replace the old decals).

Micro Machines Super Van City I guess.

I mean I always wanted G1 Scorponok as well, and I have that, but I don't think I ever saw it in stores, flea markets - hell, I don't think I ever saw it anywhere as a kid, period. Not even in pictures. I just wanted it because the character made an impression on me in the comics.

they always have a couple of cheap ones (usually red or male rangers)...once you have 2-3 you feel like you have to collect the rest and that's where they fuck you. the least popular colours are always the most expensive...best way to get them is to pre-order or buy at release. in general keep an eye on S.H. Yup, it's what fucked the whole thing

Bandai of America had high hopes for the toy line, the show was going to go into a 3rd season and a 3rd wave of toys was on it's wave.

Both got nixed due to shitty sales because the Bomb Man thing held back cases and they then got resent with 4 Mega Mans and 4 Guts Mans. It was a mess.
