To be honest, I have no idea. The Greece location seems legit, given the seller's sometimes Engrish sentences and one item on sale of theirs being a Hot Wheels toy with Greek packaging that may or may not be legitimate.
The seller specializes in vintage toys. Some of them seem legit enough. Who knows, maybe the Greek seller thought the Medabots being sold were legitimate.
To be honest, to make myself feel better, I went and bought a legitimate Hasbro Medabots toy to go along with it, which is a Multikolor. Nonetheless, can't wait for my bootleg Sailor-Multi/Brass action figure to arrive so that I can laugh and take photos.

Here's the figure when put side-by-side to an actual legitmate Hasbro Medabots figure. Hasbro didn't actually make any Brass (there is an expensive 2011 Dimension Diver garage kit for her as far as I know), so I guess Multikolor will have to do. Bootleg Brass is a TITAN compared to puny Multikolor.

UPDATE: I unscrewed the screw off bootleg Brass' left leg, and couldn't be able to take that bottom leg part off since it seems to be in so tight. But somehow, doing just that made that leg be able to bend all the way... somehow. I wasn't able to get all the flash off because the leg wouldn't come off, but I got as much as I could. I re-screwed the screw back on afterwards

Well, I guess I can show a closer look at the top of the box, but only because I have a question concerning a bit of Chinese (possibly Cantonese rather than Mandarin) text. I wonder if there are any Chinese speakers/readers who are browsing this thread.
I know that the text below "MEDABOTS" is "徽章战士" (huīzhāng zhànshì), which literally means "badge soldier(s)", which is a really rigid interpretation of the definition of a Medabot, and a quick lookup gives me Youku and Baidu results for Medabots, so I think that is the official name for Medarot/Medabots in Greater China.
最新版 (zuìxīn bǎn), the text below "NEW!" means "latest edition/version", or if you want to interpret the hanzi one by one, "most new edition".
It is the purple text to the right of "FREE CARD!", however that stumps me. More specifically, the first Chinese character of the three. I do know that part of the text reads "閃咭"(shǎn jī), which I guess can be interpreted as "flash card". I have tried taking it to a Mainland Chinese chat friend whose first language is Mandarin, but he was just stumped, can't even be able to give me the hanzi or even sound out the pinyin. He said "i dont know wtf they said either" (sic), and that it was "香港话 (literally "Hong Kong words", but most likely refers to the variety of Cantonese used in Hong Kong), not use it in 大陆 (literally "the mainland", but specifically refers to "Mainland China" in this context)" (sic), so from that experience I can only pinpoint the toy's country of origin on Hong Kong, not the PRC or Taiwan.
Can anyone help me on which Chinese character was used and what it means? I do know that it uses the 辶 radical, that's what I know I'm still trying to brush up on my Chinese, I'm not quite 100% fluent yet, or even 10%. And yes, I tried two or three online Chinese character drawing tools before posting this, to no avail.

And yeah, I kind of figured that they are using a more Hong Kong-specific encoding look for the font, but was a bit confused myself. Doesn't help that I tried to look at it from various fonts, but I guess I was using the wrong encoding for that.

I suppose "最新版" is the same in both scripts, but still.
I know that simplified is primarily used in the mainland, but traditional is still preferred for Hong Kong residents. Why is it that whoever designed the packaging is inconsistent about picking a way to write Chinese words?

I suppose that there is at least one more aspect of the bootleg I haven't covered yet: the "dice" that came with it.
For comparison, the black one is the official Medabots dice, while the grey one is the bootleg. Both are shown in the photo. The bootleg dice use a more generic Arial/Helvetica-ish font and more "blobby" symbols to represent the medaparts. Also the sticker on the grey dice is applied more flimsily than the black one.

Update, because I can confirm that the French dub of Medabots that was once on Fox Kids France and France 3 used "Robataille" (from "robot bataille", or "robot battle"). Basically a French-ized version of English "robattle".
The Chinese basically mangled and fucked around with the French language, because "Robats-tol" just sounds weird even to French-speaking people.
