They're entering a transition phase, they're not that good anymore. But well, to be honnest, they didn't really performed well since Papaloukas and Diamantidis retired from the NT 5 or 6 years ago. They had some really disappointing results despite good rosters, but now their rosters are not that good anymore...
And unfortunately for them, I don't really see anything outstanding for their near future, considering their current best players and their pool of youngsters.

At the end, Canada can't blame anyone but themselves for choking against Venezuela. They will have harder time recruiting top guys again in the next 3 years just because of one game.

Oh well, at least there are USA and Lithuania for Canadians to root for.
