Hockey is big enough to be considered part of the "big 4", albeit definitely the smallest of the group. If you spend a lot of time in the North (especially the Northeast and Midwest), you'll see that it's a major sport. But imo it's barely ahead of soccer nationwide, the thing is that soccer's fanbase here is split between the Premier League, Liga MX, La Liga, and MLS.
