Saunders is actually pretty good, just playing behind a bad backline and the midfield gives no defensive help. NYC doesn't need to upgrade on him.

This is why I hate MLS marketing. Right now you have no football, no basketball, no hockey, just baseball. And yet MLS doesn't even make a push to try and secure some prime time tv slots to showcase their games. It wasn't just Houston that killed Cubo, Chivas share a portion of the blame as well.
Houston fucked up not paying more to get him ASAP rather going the cheap AEG route and simply paying less to get him in the summer.
After the all rape allocations kept Cubo from getting out Mexico he simply got fat and out of shape because apparently Houston couldn't get Chivas to let him train with them for whatever reason or at least send him somewhere for the time being. So the end result was that Houston got a 7 million dollar Mexican bench warmer.
It's weird since he was doing well for Chivas and they didn't bother to try and accommodate with what was going on.
But after the play time he had with the Mexico U23s, Cubo might be close to getting back on track.
I'm just hopping that he doesn't get shopped right away so he has a chance again to prove he deserves to stay, I'd take him or the Columbian over Gyasi Zarde's white cousin.
Either his playing style is something the team isn't looking for/the service isn't there for Cubo or he is still fat.
